However, on Thursday, Obasanjo endorsed his former deputy ahead of next year’s presidential election, after he asked for his forgiveness.
Reacting to this, Keyamo in a statement, said “Interestingly, just a few weeks ago, specifically on the 4th of August, 2018, Chief Obasanjo was widely reported to have said ‘God will NEVER forgive me if I support Atiku for President.’
“Whilst we acknowledge the constitutional right of the ex-president to support anyone of his choice, we draw attention of all God-fearing Nigerians to a character who would use the name of God in vain and in a flip-flop manner in just a matter of weeks. Where is the shame? Where is the honour? Where is the pride?
“When a person invokes the curse of God upon himself if he does a particular thing, like Obasanjo has done, and then deliberately does that particularly thing and calls on Nigerians to follow him to receive his curse, Nigerians must flee in the opposite direction. We urge Nigerians NOT to follow this character to receive the curse he invoked upon himself.”
Keyamo wondered why Atiku chose to beg Obasanjo, rather than present evidence that he is not guilty of the allegations levelled against him.
“We wonder what type of character would not vigorously confront his accuser with facts to show his innocence, but would rather consistently ask for “forgiveness” from him.
“The desperation to get the endorsement of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo by the PDP and its candidate is a clear sign that they want to return us to our sordid past where a few people decide who should govern us.
“In 2014/2015, President Muhammadu Buhari and his team, out of respect and convention, paid courtesy calls on prominent individuals and statesmen in the course of their campaigns when they visited cities in which these individuals lived. However, Nigerians should note that President Buhari was NEVER reported to have groveled and “begged” ANYONE for forgiveness, just to be endorsed as a Presidential candidate. Ultimately, he relied on the people of Nigeria to decide his fate. President Buhari would continue to rely on the endorsement of the people of Nigeria to be re-elected,” he added.
Keyamo also tackled David Oyedepo, founder of Living Faith Tabernacle, Mathew Kukah, Catholic bishop of Sokoto diocese; and Ahmad Gumi, Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, for accompanying Abubakar to Obasanjo.
“We also note with interest the full participation of some “men of God” in the entourage of the Peoples’ Democratic Party for this political re-alignment.
“We are glad that they have publicly declared their partisan interest and urge all Nigerians to see all their previous, present and future attacks on President Buhari from their pulpits in the context of partisan politics and not in the context of nationalistic or altruistic commitment. We wish them well,” he said.
Dailypost.
*Na wah ooooooooooo.
They are scared of the coming Tsunami in the 2019 General elections. The world, spiritual leaders and pagans are for Atiku.
ReplyDeleteHe will WIN.
Asabe!
Says who?
DeleteSays people without PVC
Buhari will win with a landslide, save this comment 😎😎😎😎😎
Lady bug wetin be your own self? Tell me one good thing your Buhari has done for this nation? When there are two evils, you choose the lesser evil. IN THIS CASE ATIKU IS THE LESSER EVIL. So I choose him over Buhari. @Princess Tever
DeleteThis shameless lady bug is just a lousy irritant who cares less about the sufferings in the land. Your shameless Buhari caused Nigeria's first recession and again caused the second on his return, yet you and your likes think he's got something to offer Nigerians. Come 2019 by God's Grace, your hero, I mean the lifeless one, the Dullard of Daura (DOD), the self-styled "Mr. Integrity" would be sent back to Daura and if you feel disgruntled about it, you can as well join him. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Stella if you like chop my comment.
DeleteLol
DeleteAnon15.13pm, no your drunk brother Jonathan caused our mess and that baba up there. Please messed us up for 16years. You were probably wearing pampers and running around the streets.
DeleteWhat of president Buhari that told us he will rule for only four years? Why is he seeking for another four years despite the hardship his administration has caused?Mr.integrity my foot.
ReplyDeleteWhy won't he seek second term,we still want him in the helms of affairs
DeleteYou are a lazy youth, that is why are experiencing hardship,go and work,Buhari is not the cause of your poverty 😎😎😎😎😎
When did he say that? In 2015? If you say yes then you are a liar. But get your pvc first.
DeleteWe are watching o
DeleteTeejay, a quick one here, the Vice president isn't a full time pastor of RCCG he is a part-time pastor with a secular job, so he's free to contest but my bishop is a full time pastor
DeletePastor are meant to serve as check to political powers not to descend into the arena
@ Lady Bug,My life is very far from poverty,i live in one of the most beautiful place on earth, but i have friends and family in Nigeria and i feel their pain.Buhari must go back to Daura and it's a must.
DeleteDouble wahala for dead body🎼🎼🎼
ReplyDeleteNa Siddon look I dey
Religion and Politics dont mix! Anyone doing that concoction is for selfish gains.
ReplyDeleteThank you!😎😎😎😎😎
DeleteYou are wrong Oxygen. When the righteous keep quiet the evil men subject them to sufferings. John the baptist was a prophet and he outrightly condemned king Herold for his crimes. What about Elijah that fought and attacked King Ahab and his wife Jezebel? Wasn't Samuel a prophet that anointed Saul and David as a king, a symbol of the present day leader? Prophets in the past involved themselves in the country politics so it isn't something new.
DeleteTeejay, i dont have resereved strenght for debate cus i just spent the last 2hrs speaking to a wise dentist scheduled for my root canal, but that picture of Oyedepo & those geezers speaks volumess! Theyre more like allies & not in friction with their questioned governance or stands.
DeleteSorry Teejay, you got your analysis completely wrong. When oxygen talks about the oppositeness of religion and politics, he/she means, what sociologists and political scientists call the separation of the church and state. The role of religious bearers and heads is to guide in the morality, policies, and other check boxes of the State, not be directly involved with the carriers of policy positions. These people you mentioned checked and balance the actions and governance of the people of their time. Anointing and bestowing positions is different from ‘involvement’. But it doesn’t stop them from checking, like speaking against injustice, evil, and vices in the lands. Just do a small google to understand the concept of ‘separation of the church from the state’
Delete@10:27 a quick questions to you, those ministers aren't they electorates? Does anointing takes away their affiliation to a particular party away? The fact they are ministers aren't they qualify to vote or be voted for? Is it wrong for a minister to run political office? So why haven't you condemn the vice president all along for his role in this administration abysmal failure? Why speaking now because Ministers led Atiku to seek reconciliation not as if they even endorse him. It was just a reconciliatory visit.
DeleteAnon 10:27.
DeleteMay you drive without potholes or police road blocks in Nigeria.👍
Anonymous 10:27 still waiting for your response. May I quickly add to it, is it biblical or constitutional for ministers of the gospel not to have political affiliation? Is it also stipulated they shouldn't occupy government position? Aren't they human to perticipate in the affairs of their country?
DeleteTeejay, politics and religion should not mix. Any body that claims to be deep in religion makes very bad governance. A good case is the benue state governor Ortom. Ask how he presented himself when he came to power and compare with his achievements.
DeleteNow I take it that you have no substantial fact to buttress your point. People like your reasoning gave room for evil people to keep ruling us. Thanks.
DeleteTeejay is so dumb and will never learn.
DeleteThe modern day preachers can never be compared with prophets of old. They anoited Kings on specific instruction from God Almighty.
They made sure equality and Justice rule the system while constantly reminding their Kings of the wrath of God when they go wrong on the masses.
They were morally upright and never meddle or interfere for selfish political gains like Naija Men of God are doing now.
Oyedepo has his hands stained with political largese. I remember he was one of those pastors used by the Aso Rock to inform Nigerians that Umar Yaradua was still alive back then. From that meeting up until he was pronounced dead, no one saw a clip of the former president neither did he attend any public function.
I also remember he threatened to unleash the gates of hell if Goodluck didn't make it back as president as if he is the custodian of the keys to hell.
These guys are con men milking the gullible dry and you TJ is as dumb as those that worship these men instead of the Almighty Jehovah.
God will open your eyes cos you are blind both physically and spiritually.
#hadeyhalaba
U must be a big fool to think Oyedepo benefits from d largese of whoever is in power, do u know the kind of wealth God has blessed him with? U better don't carry curse on ur head. Otondo
DeleteI am not surprise at this words from Keyamo, he is surely doing what he was paid for. OBJ wasn't cursed when he supported your principal that end up destroying our democracy. Is there anything wrong for one to ask for forgiveness? Or is it also wrong to forgive people when they ask for it? I don't understand the fuss over this issue and why APC are taking it very personal. I think I can sense jiltry here by some people. APC should be worried about losing Zamfara state to PDP, for as it stands INEC has made it public that they won't be fielding their candidates in 2019 election at the state for not meeting up the deadline set. I think that should be their concern and not about a man (Atiku) that has kick start his journey to the villa.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteWhat jittery, you all are just ordinary citizens without any clear vision of what you wanted, you are always following the bandwagon, all of a sudden,Atiku is the best after slice 🍞
DeleteWhether you all hypocrites and fencists like it or not Buhari remains the president till 2023!😎😎😎😎😎
SURPRISED. At THESE words. Ask FORGIVENESS. THAT ENDED. HE IS paid for. Lots more to consider.
DeleteLady bug let us also try Atiku in the same way we gave Buhari chance to prove himself. If Atiku fail in his first four years, then he will be kick out as well.
Delete@10:30 noted!!! Thanks. One beer for you.
Try Atiku fire.
DeleteI pity those of you in Nigeria. Vote whoever you want abeg.
Dnt mind Keyamo. OBJ wasnt cursed in 2015 when he supported Buhari. However..truth be told the issue here btw OBJ and Atiku is not a simple case of you offend me...apologose and bits all good. Some1 read what OBJ wrote about Atiku in his famous book this morning. It's deep. May God have mercy on this nation with d kind of people who get into power. I wish Nigerians wd stop acting like it's APC and PDP existing and flush all these demons out
DeleteTeejay pls leave those spilling rubbish alone, their poverty has just began with buhari their father.
DeleteHmmmmmm!!! I'm not happy that bishop oyedepo attended that meeting, is Atiku the best we could get to replace buhari, they are all bunch of old thieves. Only GOD can save us in this country!
ReplyDeleteNow you are talking, suddenly Atiku is a saint 😎😎😎😎
DeleteYou people keep asking if Atiku is the best bla bla bla.
DeleteWhy not go and join politics and contest too?
Oyedepo can attend any meeting he wants to. He is a Nigerian just like you and I. He can as well be a memberbif a political party,no bug deal. We keep saying we need Christians in the helm of affairs yet we tear down those who attempt to do something.
DeleteFor all we know,Oyedepo may have just honoured OBJs request to the meeting, maybe he wanted people of integrity to bear him witness in the meeting. MAYBE! All I'm saying us we cannot conclude by just seeing pictures, anything could have been the reason for his being there. My only problem is not speaking against evil when its being perpetrated. Nigerians expect too much of every other person but themselves. Live and let live
Omeh I love you so much. I don't see the fuss here and why APC and their sympathizers are crying foul. It was a reconciliatory visit and not even an endorsement by the ministers in attendance. The same thing OBJ did when he requested that GEJ should come along with some men of God build up to 2015 elections.
DeleteGod bless you Omeh.
DeleteOmeh thank u for dis brilliant post.
DeleteNo space for thieves. Obasanjo should be ashamed of the Ota road. Awon shameless politicians and jeunjeun pastors.
ReplyDeleteVery shameless men of god being worshipped by 🐑
DeleteIs he ashamed
DeleteEvery Sunday on that road is war.
Ota never felt obj impact at all, yet they generate income the most for ogun state with most of the factories there.
Ladybug do u know how many times Bishop Oyedepo has volunteered to repair Ota road and he was refused by the government of Ogun state and asking him to give dem d money? U better keep quiet if u don't know wat to write.
DeleteKey Amo should know that God is love and would be happy for the step of forgiveness OBJ took cos it's one of the tenet of Christianity.
ReplyDeleteSo Obasanjo represents Nigerians for him to forgive and everything returns acknowledge to default,he is only after his personal interest and not national interest 😎😎😎😎
DeleteExactly.
DeleteTee Jay is a paid internet troll. He’s doing his job of being stupid as usual. We have no future with Atiku. That’s the truth. Pop is a disaster. Atiku must be a real fool if he really thinks this snake Obasanjo would sincerely support him. He knew he was about to become irrelevant, hence the change of heart. Don’t trust him one bit. Atiku is a deals man. We don’t need this now. Yes Buhari is slow but he would get the job done. We have been raped as a nation by Pdp. We don’t need to go back. Use your sense people. The other candidates are just noisemakers.
DeleteWhatever Buhari must go .Enough of this blood shed, hardships and corruption. There is nothing good about Buhari.
ReplyDeleteAre you the one shedding the blood,go and chase him now,you all better deal with the fact that Buhari remains your president till 2023!😎😎😎😎😎
DeleteKeyamo you that they used to defame Pastor Suleiman! How dare you talk of fear of God? You that left legal practice to become campaign manager for a loser? You guys are sooooo jittery. I gave PMB my support, he thanked me with hunger, poverty and total cluelessness. Even his own wife has ported. 2019 Anyone but PMB!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCampaign manager for a looser,??you must be high on codein, the last I checked Buhari won the election and automatically became he winner!
DeleteBuhari till 2023!😎😎😎😎
Madam calm down, why must you accuse someone of taking codein because he isn’t venting for the situation he feels he put his family into, if you find it easy to feed, then that good for you and yours but rob defame someone’s character by calling him a drug addict cus of his own opinion, key word being “his” then that’s wrong
DeleteCodeine is cough syrup, not drug. If you want to make it a drug, its your headache.
DeleteNext time type what ppl can read and comprehend and not this senseless thing you presented while correcting madam beetlebug
Gbam anon 9:58. Statue but Buhari.
DeleteNa them sabi
ReplyDeleteANYONE BUT BUHARI STILL REMAIN MY STAND
ReplyDeleteSorry your stand doesn't count!😎😎😎😎😎
DeleteMr. Ibu sef but Buhari!
DeleteLadybug must be benefitting from this Buhari regime so much.
DeleteAm sure she is benefiting from Npower. Good for her.
DeleteIs Fetus "Key motor" not unfortunate like this? Someone who was against this government, immediately he got an appointment he changed his ringtone and became a defender of retrogression this government is all about?
ReplyDeleteKey motor sell your candidate Buhari, What are the achievements recorded by this government? Just give me 10. I will give you 10 Achievements of Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo, Bishop Mathew Kukah each.
Thank you!
Delete@lady bug, thanks for being a die hard follower of Buhari, that’s what make sense to you. But here it goes-Oyedepo was at a meeting he was invited, he doesn’t go everywhere, if Obasanjo had said if he forgives Atiku, God will not forgive him, it was his lack of understanding of what God actually wanted him to do Cos God said if we fail to forgive one another, God himself will not forgive us (paraphrased). So if Oyedepo and or Rev Kukah chose to intervene to drive this understanding home to Obasanjo, I don’t think they’ve done anything wrong!
ReplyDeleteSee, I live in Canada, I know how much I used to send my sibling before Buhari came to power, but x5 of that is what I send to them now Cos they go for months without being paid their salaries (this is their sweat o), no government either federal, provincial or city in Canada can ever risk not paying their staff; but both local, state and even federal owes their staff money in Nigeria under this Buhari government, no intervention whatsoever from him; no sanctioning whatsoever and the saddest part of it, most of these culprits are APC governors!. To you this is normal?
If you’re doing well where thousands of others are wallowing in poverty, you yourself you are not safe! If you’re insensitive to the happenings around you, that’s sad!
Suicide was never Nigerians way of tackling situations, but cases of suicide in Nigeria now is alarming! People getting to the end of their ropes and just end their lives!
How about raping? Nigeria is leading India in that vice right now-people are reacting to hardship in Nigeria in different ways!
I’m not saying Atiku is or is not the best candidate, but I honestly think Buhari is not in control of his government so why hanging in there? I supported Buhari during his campaign in 2014-2015, I actually came to personally vote for him, but can you say categorically, that Buhari is the one in power in Nigeria? The people he surrounds himself with are the ones that never meant well for Nigeria and Nigerians, so are those the ones Nigerians should be serving? You think Nigerians deserve a leader that is insensitive to people’s pains???
Lady bug, look around you-I mean everywhere around you, the faces that greets you everyday are faces that are hungry and angry! Everyone is potentially violent, only a spark is all they need.
So go back to bed, and give your comments a thought before spewing them.
Remember, I’m a Canadian, but the pain in Nigeria touches me to very essence of my being from here! So let’s give somebody else a try! It’s not Buhari’s property and he doesn’t have die there! If Atiku fails again, me and you will be here debating it! Ire o
Please use otapiapia on lady 🐛
DeleteOyedepo has always been open about this government unlike adeboye.
ReplyDeleteHe should not have gone with them but all the same, I am rooting for Atiku
YOU CAN'T TELL HIM WHERE TO GO OR NOT TO GO...AS FOR THE USELESS BUG MAKING NOISE, BET ME, THAT LADY AND CHURCH RAT DEY FIGHT FOR FOOD, WE KNOW THE, HUNGRY/ANGRY PPLE. MAY YOUR SOUL RECEIVE HAPPINESS SERVANT BUG.
DeleteThat bug ranting like a pregnant dinosaur, shut ur mouth up? You can't force your ideas on people. To Yee judginas, judge well, I know you all are saints living rightuoesly and holy, judge pastors and Imams well. 24 Angels.. mtcheew
DeleteThe worst part is that she is always rude with her response.
Delete@anon 11:44 I totally agree with you.
ReplyDeleteIn the past, from the Scriptures the kings relied on the counsel of God through the prophets. Those who were successful never embarked on any mission without this. These prophets were either sent to the kings or they the kings went to them for counsel or they the kings sent for the prophets like the case of King Jehosathphet and King Ahab sending for prophet Maicah. Now to the matter at hand, we aren't there to say which of one out of 3 scenario happened. A wise person never judges a matter he is not fully informed about, most especially about a great Prophet and an Apostle whose proofs are boundless. Tread with cursion, fellow bvs. Una doo ooh that nah for Sapele language, if you know you know.
ReplyDeleteFather Matthew Kukah is on board of Atikus university
ReplyDeleteNa for the same market that pastors and others dey shop o! Una say pastor no suppose chook mouth for politics matter, una don ask God whether na him call them? I can wake up tomorrow and call myself a man of God and all of una go begin pay me tithe not knowing say na hunger and frustration drive me enter church. Only God knows whom he called.
