According to the Director General of the Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation, Otunba Gbenga Daniel in a statement on Friday, Obi’s choice was largely influenced by his youthfulness, vast knowledge of global and local economics, as well as being a financial expert.
“This ticket will be able to steer our nation back on the path of progress, economic prosperity and unity.
“He is also a graduate of several international and national institutions such as the Lagos Business School, Harvard Business School, London School of Economics, Columbia Business School, Institute of Management, Switzerland, Kellogg Graduate School, Oxford University and Cambridge University.
“In public service, he has led various divisions some of which includes: Member, Presidential Economic Management Team; Vice-Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum; Chairman, South-East Governors’ Forum, and the Governor of Anambra State.
“Peter Obi is an astute professional who has laid his footprints across the corporate world. He was the Chairman, Board of Security and Exchange Commission (SEC); former Chairman, Fidelity Bank PLC; former Chairman, Guardian Express Mortgage Bank; former Chairman, Future Views Securities; former Chairman, Paymaster Nigeria; former Chairman, Next International Nigeria; former Director, Guardian Express Bank PLC; former Director, Chams Nigeria PLC; former Director, Emerging Capital: former Director, Card Centre PLC.
“He is a member of the British Institute of Directors (IOD), Nigerian Chartered Institute of Bankers and Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG),” the statement read.
See accolades for my brother. Chaiii now I know why Omeh said she love my brother. Only one man with all these positions and qualifications. Igbo kwenu!!! kwenu!!! kwezuo unu ooh!!! In all these positions held both local and international, there has never been any negative reports about him. Where is that ghost anonymous that spew thrash last night, that Obi left Anambra in the hands of thieves and kidnappers? Not even ashamed to say you are from Anambra. I put it to you that you are Gov.Obiano sister or even Chris Ngige niece lolzzzx
ReplyDeleteThe best choice so far... though I had wanted Atiku to pick someone from the southwest but I can seriously tell you that PDP or Atiku made the best choice by picking Obi...both of them are industrialists and I foresee them building industries and developing the Nation. Congrats PDP!
DeleteCongrats PDP!
DeleteGod pls make this happen
ReplyDeleteLet me go and look for my voters card and keep it well.
ReplyDeleteVoting for POD
Peter Obi is a guru

Delete#AtikulatedPeter
ReplyDeleteLet's get atikulated!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited about 2019. Atiku and his team are indeed very intelligent and experienced in this game of politics. Let's go there!
ReplyDeleteBubu2019 all d way.. Atiku go n yansh down because u no go smell that place
ReplyDeleteFly commot here. Lifeless as your candidate. Destiny killers. You shall be shamed this time ard.
DeleteI must confess, with Peter Obi on board, A.P.C's got a real battle on their hands! Atiku should concentrate more on the North now. P.D.P is sure gathering momentum now, not still a sure banker for P.D.P, the ruling party is battling a lot of internal crisis, if P.D.P can take advantage of all these issues within A.P.C and go for the kill it will work for them.
ReplyDeleteOn a personal note, you can take my words or leave it, if P.D.P wins, Peter Obi will not finish his tenure with Atiku except he is ready to look the other way! Heard the man is a sticker to protocol, Atiku is known to bend corners when desperate( most politicians do right?) But good luck to them,Especially Peter OBI
I still think is best if he had chosen from the West to get their support cos we the igbos will always vote for PDP or anyone else but not buhari even with the bad treatment we got and still getting for being 5%. the blood of our relatives still cry in our hearts.
DeleteWe are loyal like that.
Correct OSNAC
DeleteOSNAC u are right, i am Igbo and this was exactly my thought. I pray the west does not pull back. They are good together but i am scared his choice has some implications.
DeleteYou are right! Very right! Atiku was part of the group that appointed a family member in Obj’s regime, then harassed them to bend corners so much, they got frustrated. In the end, they left because they couldn’t do their job. Peter Obi is too straight forward to work with Atiku, two very different personalities! Obi would have made a better president, he reminds me of Utomi, Duke and all, but we are still too immature and money driven to join their team for president!! Pray for Nigeria!!
DeleteI was thinking they will go with Saraki, but since they settled for Atiku is all good. We will keep trying till we get the good or maybe best as we can't afford another 4yrs of what we have been going through.
DeleteFor one to take out an enemy you must have the mind set of "your enemy is my enemy and that makes me your friend" keep self interest aside and have a collective goal, and to achieve this all hands and good heads must work together.
Nigerian politics no need gentle man, you must be street wise and smart and God bless us with a good heart.
I know Atiku is trying to make the igbos happy by picking one of our own as a running mate. He should bear in mind that the igbos don't bother about political posts but just treat us with respect, equal rights and give us the necessities of life like you do to others. The killing of our relatives, disrespect to our Eze Nri by Abba ayari and disgrace to our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, wives and daughters in Owerri has not left our hearts cause even the person doing these has shown no remorse and his body language is so bad too.
Atiku needs the support of the west more cos he already has the east and south and the west has more Muslims than east and south. He is from the north so he should know how to play his game with his people.
After he is elected he can now choose wisely men and women who are capable to handle the affairs of Nigeria. Igbo can be the no 3 man in the country or any other appointment if he desires. Nigeria needs to move forward and become the gaint of Africa like she used to.
I am Igbo, his choice of Peter Obi is good, but to battle South west votes, I think a Yoruba vice would've been better. We Igbos will vote anybody PDP brings. But Yoruba.... A typical Yoruba person will not want an Igbo man on top. They would rather vote for any dog rather than vote Igbo. Let's keep our fingers crossed, hopefully it works for the interest of Christians.
DeleteWill he give him chance to work. That is the issue
ReplyDeleteIf PDP wins, it mean bode George, femi kayode , will be in power again. Corrupt people
ReplyDeleteTinubu that is their now is he a saint?
Delete*there
DeleteChai, nobody go against, i av my pvc ,i am gonna vote for my igbo brother..Delta nd Anambra we are one.
ReplyDeleteWow!! I'm really impressed. Will go out and vote this time. I just pray my state also gets it right this time. Not that governor that's there owing eight months salary.
ReplyDeleteChaiiii...Peter obi is good but Atiku should have chosen someone from the west to get their votes because igbo votes to him are automatic, I don't see igbo's voting Buhari that has dealt with them....anyway, trusting God to save us from tyranny o
