women have been sharing bills for as long as I can remember
It makes sense for the person that earns more to contribute more, if its the man, so be it.

They have not worked in professional organizations where they are paid half as much as their male counterparts

Why do they reserve low paying jobs like receptionists and secretaries for females
Why cant an MD be a female
Why cant a landlord rent his house to a single female
Why cant a woman bail someone form Nigerian cell?

You people should keep laughing at feminists, while the society keeps suppressing females and hanging them crumbs
Right from the days of old, women have been paying bills. Some men withhold money as punishment for their families,starving their wives and kids. What happens then?
The feminist movement is here to stay, laugh at it, scoff and deride it all you want but its going nowhere.

ReplyDeleteTake Nigerian families for example the girl child is thought that it is the job of a man to take care of the home and so when she grows up and becomes a feminist she doesn't agree to shared financial responsibilities because the home,the religious settings and the society at large has apportioned FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES to the man.
For true Feminism to work in our country Nigeria we need to redefine what the child(male/female) is thought to be their responsibilities to themselves and their future partners.
Until that is done,what we will have is the picture up there

So you want a woman to pay half of the bills at home? You want a company to hire a woman as their 'Handyman' so she can fix the plumbing works, climb the ceiling to fix any electrical problem? You want her to change her deflated tires and carry bags of cement and rice like men?? No.. I'm a feminist and I don't support that.

ReplyDeleteNo BV here has really defined feminism here. They all uses American or Great Britain feminism as example and that makes me really upset most times.
Different women in every country practice different kinds of feminism, that is the honest truth.
When there is war or any kind of disaster, who does the army protect first?

ReplyDeleteIn most homes today, the women are the ones taking care of the home financially. Most of our men don't carry out their duties and they still want to lord themselves over their wives. Some of them will even use the woman's savings and buy a car while the woman will be jumping buses.
ReplyDeleteI have made up my mind to train my children especially the female ones on how to attain financial independent/freedom.
I will not discourage them from going into any career of their choice.
And my girls will benefit immensely from my wealth as well.
Please mothers, encourage your girls to take that step of faith!
