    Few days ago at the University of Abuja a final year sociology student went to the office of his project supervisor and pointed a gun at her. Fortunately, the professor was rescued by another student.

    But the reason a student will want to kill his supervisor in a Nigerian university is not hard to understand. If Nigeria was like some other countries where owning a gun was legal, a lot of students would have killed their project supervisors - out of anger and frustration.

    Many project supervisors in Nigerian universities have turned themselves to gods and goddesses and I wonder what they are trying to teach - someone said perseverance.

    Some project supervisors turn their supervisees to bag carriers, and office cleaners and playthings and rubbish! They treat their supervisees with so much disrespect until they ( the students) lose all their self confidence and start to feel utterly stupid. And it is hard for the students to question or report, because they have been put in a state of complete powerlessness.

    Or why will a final year Sociology student point a gun at his supervisor?

    I am blessed to have had a project supervisor who listened to me. Before I started writing my project, we discussed. I told him what I wanted to do and he taught me how to do it. He was even willing to share his resources with me. God bless you Dr Gunu Umar....Many supervisors do not listen to their students.

    If you complain as a project supervisor that your supervisees are lazy and unintelligent, what do you think that tell us about you. If you were so good yourself...

    Project writing that children in some primary schools do weekly, if the supervisees cannot learn, then the supervisor cannot teach.

    Stop this violence!

      I did chapter for about 5times to talk of the rest, never knew the topic he gave to me was also his P.hd topic...the guy man na fool...

      I spent all i had, travelled from akoka to UNN cuz i needed a school where shorthand and typing which is now called office tech is a core course...

      My own supervisor then in unilag frustrated alot of people but I gave him dose of his medicine.
      When he refused to approve the three topics I presented to him after one month because he was waiting for fat envelope. I have to report him to the Dean's secretary. The woman told him to let me be.
      After a year the next set dealt with him and he was later sacked because of so many atrocities ranging from sexual harassment and bribery.

    Good morning all . How can one manage natural hair on a super sensitive and painful scalp. My hair used to be baby soft but it's now strong and rubber like.       Go for skin cut. Not all hair are good for natural grooming. My hair can be very full but extremely strong. I was loosing hair for three years. Las Las, I decided to perm my hair again and you need to see the way my hair is responding now.
      You can either perm your hair or make it short and do waves.

      Deep condition your hair once a week, use a daily leave in conditioner(I'm currently using Aunty Jackie and I'm loving it)
      Massage your oils... jbco/Coconut/lavender (if you can afford the 3 good or just buy one) into the damp hair and seal with ori (buy original one please) and make sure your protective styles are not too tight...I'm suspecting that is why you have injuries on your scalp and if you're making the hair, tell your stylist to apply ori on each cutout before weaving it.

    I applied for a job in Canada since Feb and I just got a mail from them that the on I applied is no longer available but they sent me about three that I should select one and get back to them so I replied the mail, it'd not a scam they included their phone no and it correspond with the one in the mail I sent.
    My concern is this, I'm married with a child, I have never traveled before even tho I have passport and my child has too, they intend to send me job permit pls bvs how does it work? How will I even start my process? Should I tell them Iintend to come with my child? Even though I applied as a married woman pls how do I go about this whole thing.

      Is it a legit company? Have you checked to be sure they have online presence?

      What role is it for? Have they gotten gotten LIMA for you? If you don’t know what LIMA is, google it.

      There are lots of scam jobs like that, the minute they ask you for money for anything better run.

      If you want to go as a skilled worker so bad, then you should just go legit via Canadian express entry for skilled labor, at least that way you will be getting permanent residency at once.

      Getting a work permit/ LMIA from outside Canada is very difficult, and almost impossible presently.

      The employer has to prove to the government, that the job can't be done by any one inside the country, hence the reason to get from outside.

      It looks like scam, I would tell you to be very careful!!!

      If in doubt, www.cic.gc.ca is well explanatory.

      Better still, check the express entry route.

      As in eh, ask I was watching the Apple special event yesterday I was just clappimg all through for the watch. Na to start saving from this month for it.

      I was sad though, I use an iPhone 7, and I was hoping to upgrade after their new release this year, but I must say I wasn't wowed by any of the new phones, I guess with Steve jobs gone Apple have just become regular.

      Except they are keeping their major changes for the next release, so I will manage this iPhone till then abeg I can't come and be wasting money.

      I will just get a mac book pro instead, my old laptop has packed up.

      After download,connect your USB to your i-phone and allow it synchronize to the laptop,then you can transfer music from your PC to your i-phone(free of charge)...

      For Apps,you have to download them from the store(probably pay for them before download)..

      For Data,i-phone sucks it using straw(just like when you are sipping a drink and fiam it finishes)..
      You can contact Isaac and get 4gb for 2600..it would last you if you can stay away from facebook,instagram and whatsapp status...

      Maybe you are using your phone upside down inside water or simply because you can't even spell what you are looking for.

      Put it right side up and type in Glutathione injection reviews in your Google search bar. I just did and there are tons of reviews.

    My baby pooed four times last night, so I kept changing diapers, I guess the beans I gave her did not go down well with her system. While I was cleaning her up the third time, I remembered an incident at our last post natal visit.

    We were seated next to this young lady and her beautiful baby girl. My baby collected her necessary inoculation, we came back to our seat and while I was dressing my girl, this woman stripped her baby to go collect hers. I noticed the baby pooped. The lady looked at me and smiled, I smiled back and was like these children sef. After they collected, they came back to their seat. I was waiting for my card. The lady started dressing her baby up, on top shit- filled diaper. Thinking she didn't have extra diaper, I offered her one from my bag, with baby wipes. She thanked me and told me she has but she just can't change it. Why? She said she's allergic to poo, she'll vomit, she can't stand it bla bla bla. She was supposed to come with her younger sister who does it for her but she had to go for an interview. So your baby will wait till you get home before she'll be cleaned? She said their house was not far. Why did you come with extra diaper? She just smiled helplessly. I was visibly irritated but there was something genuine about her.

    Well we took our cards, I was shaken by what I'd heard but I felt so bad for the baby. We moved outside and just by the corridor, I had a change of mind. I told her to hand me the child, we swapped babies, I looked for a place and cleaned up hers Interestingly, this woman looked away when I opened her baby's diaper. I totally believed her then. What I did was not for her anyways but for her child. I don't let my baby wear the same diaper a second after she poos. I clean her and change immediately because I imagine myself wearing the same diaper after I soil it. We shouldn't take advantage of the fact that they don't talk.

      That woman has to work on herself. She's now a mother and her baby depends on her to do the right thing for her and the earlier she overcomes her hangup over poopoo the better not even for her but for that helpless baby and no she's not allergic to any thing; I mean she passes out waste naa!

    I am 2months pregnant and the morning sickness and triedness is out of this world. Thought I had registered for antinanal and the Dr has given me some drugs including pregnant care. But still I am not feeling any better. I feel weak whole day and I can't do anything at home. This is my 3rd pregnancy and my first time of experience this kind of sickness and weakness.
