MRS DEES CORNER
FIRST DAY AT WORK BROUHAHA

The day one assumes work is always filled with  the giddiness of a new job and also apprehension because you don't know what to expect. On the eve of that day, you can't wait for the day to break. Often times you toss and turn on the bed till your alarm rings to wake you up for the day ahead. You hurriedly take your bath,  put your best dress on, strap your wrist watch, buckle your shoes and rush off. There's no place for food because your stomach is knotted up in excitement.

In a place like Lagos with the crazy traffic, especially on a Monday morning, you just pray and hope you don't get stuck in it and end up getting to the office late.

The last place I was employed was on the Island.  The day I started ,  I was at the bus-stop by 5.00am. I was unable to get a bus going to Lekki straight so I opted for Obalende/CMS.  I was always stealing glances to check what the time was. I got to Obalende by 7.00am and I figured I still had about 45 minutes to get to the office.

I was in for a surprise when it was 7.50am and I had not gone halfway.  I was already sweating profusely.  I called my immediate boss and in a shaky voice laden with tears begged him to be patient as I was almost at the office.  He understood and reassured me not to worry.  I was still scared because my 'oga at the top' was Japanese( side 👀 @ Oxygen) and  they are known for their intolerance to lateness.  I got to the office by 9.25am. I apologized to my immediate boss and he accepted.

By midday,  all the excitement had died down I was very hungry and the new shoes I wore were killing.  I couldn't walk very well in them because they were tight.  I was afraid to ask for permission to go buy food seeing that I came late to work.  By the time I got home that day, I had blisters and I was so hungry and worn out.  It was an awful day for me.

*If you cant go out to eat,why not call those Restaurant or eatries that do Office or home deliveries?..And why dont you take comfy shoes or slippers along with when you know what you are wearing is really tight?Or be like Meghan Markle and buy shoes one size more..its always the best!!!..

Try it out!!!

DOES ORIGINAL HONEY HEAL SCARS?

Stella nwanyioma, please i need solution on what to use concerning the scar i have in between my nose and mouth from the accident i had about 5 months ago.

I sent a message concerning that and how grateful i am as God pulled me through. This very scar is been itching and scratching me at the same time and it makes it swell up,right now is obvious i have a scar, but initially it was not noticeable.I saw in a pharmacy one keloids cream of about 30g which cost 5k that it will smoothen and flatten it but am scared of using that for now as i still feel bite on that spot.I want the pain to stop before i could apply anything that will remove it.

Someone suggested i use original honey, pls my fellow bvs what do i do?

*Why dont you go to a specialist to check out your skin type and what irritates you first before you start applying stuff?how will you know its original honey?if you buy ,take a little and put inside water,if it doesnt show how it is in that photo below its not original...

you put the honey in the bowl or cup first, add the water and shake to the left or right....fake honey shows long maggot like strips...

Original honey strips after contact with water

    1. Samsung J7 pro is more better..

It is running on Android 7.0,Battery is 3600mah,4G Network available,3GB RAM(the other is 4GB) and camera is 13mp..
The storage is 64gb while the duo is 32gb...

In summary, the Samsung J7 pro is better than the J7 duo..

    6. @Sandy Yo;nokia 7 is better than nokia 8 if im to buy one today...

Nokia 8 battery capacity is 3090mah while nokia 7 is 3000mah..

Nokia 8 ram is 4Gb while nokia 7 is 6Gb..

Nokia 8 Back camera is 13mp while nokia 7 is 16mp..
The front for nokia 8 is 12mp while nokia 7 is 5mp(nokia 8 beats it here only)...

Both run on Android version 7.1.1(Nougat) and internal memory is 64gb for both..

Both have fingerprint and 4G network..

In summary;if you love selfies, nokia 8 is better..but if you use more of the back camera;nokia 7 is the best...

No phone gives you everything and there must be a flaw somewhere which makes a phone better than the other..

Nokia 7 is the best nevertheless(for me and few others who run a lot of apps)..

      Hope this helps..

Sometimes, I add 2 caps of ACV(Apple Cider Vinegar) into d lemon water. Dazz all!
And Yes, u get lemon from all these abokis that sells fruits in d market or roadside. Its always readily availiable. Looks like lime but a little bigger in size.

The poster that has scar...there's this stuff in Igbo we call 'abuba eke' literally translated to mean the fat of a python. I don't know if that is what it is or another thing but that stuff helps to heal scars. If u can get it, use it and be massaging the scar morning and night consistently, after some time, you will notice that the scar will start to fade.

Check out my page @allbuyables_fashion on IG and allbuyables on Facebook.

I sell at wholesale price to end users.

    5. Me o, I don't haf problem wit China clothes but no variety at all. Is like there is one seller who supplies all d naija sellers here, because u will see one design of gown with 500 sellers and they will now come and be selling between 6,500 to 7,500. Even if you want to buy from China let your own be very uniquely and different. Then those instagram boutiques will even sell 8,500 to 9,500 for that same design of gown. I even prefer Vietnam sef, at least is not so common. Turkey is very good and has quality but expensive.

    2. Are u sure ur baby is getting enough breast milk that can produce poo

      Delete
    3. 10 days!!! And you haven't reached the hospital? You as a normal person how do u feel if u don't go to toilet 3 days , talk less of 10 days

      Delete
    4. You are so irresponsible!!! Take her to see a doctor. SMH

      Delete
    5. It is not normal! Please take your little cutie to the paediatric for check up.

There's this water that they sell at the pharmacy that you can infuse inside her anus; she will poo immediately after few minutes.
This must be recommended by her doctor.

Exclusive breastfeeding can make babies not stool for weeks but, you should be able to help them find a solution by taking them to the paediatrician.

How do you feel as an adult if you are not able to stool for few days? Then, imagine the heat your cutie is feeling inside of her.... Please, act quickly.

      Delete
    6. Since she is exclusively being breastfed you as the mom need to increase your water and fruits intake. You can also give her a few drops of freshly squeezed orange juice and see if it works.
As a last resort, you can tickle her anus with cotton bud to stimulate things a bit. Apply oil or Vaseline to the cotton bud o and just work it round. You can Google more on that. But if she's not showing any discomfort you shouldn't worry too much. She'll eventually poop.
      Best wishes.

      Delete
    7. If u are doing exclusive then u gat nothing to worry.
I hope u put some drops of hot water in her anus when u are giving her a bath? If not, start to do it.

But if it continues, I will suggest you visit a doctor at least to confirm nothing is wrong with her intestines.

Madam 14:23, why not start doing sitz bath, I heard that stuff can take one's ponyor to factory reset mode. A friend of mine that put to bed last year said she did it consistently for 3 months and her ponyor was as good the day she was deflowered. So maybe u should try it, me I'm still doing it but not too regular. I do nice a day, sometimes I don't do at all.

I believe it works cos one day, mum just said to me " NNE, u have to stop doing this before your VJ go block( she said it in Igbo) so it was so funny. So for my mum to say that, then it's working.

  29. Is anyone using rice water for skin? I've been using since August. I like it.
    But the smeeeeeellll ehn???
The last batch I let it ferment for about 3 days before removing the rice and placing in a spray bottle. I don't place in the fridge, so technically it's still fermenting... the smell ehn??? Chai!

    4. Loll Mhiz A,hope you are giving the right size of attachment o.

Might be a bit harsh for babies but I know it's used on children as well to calm rashes etc.
It's been one of the secrets of Japanese/Korean youthful skin for centuries.

You can use the boiled or non boiled method.

      I use the second.

Just wash some rice, (I use less than a handful then put in a jar and add water. Leave to ferment for 24-48 hours.

Remove the water, throw away the rice. That's your rice water.

You can use the rice water for your hair and skin. One thing you will notice is how incredibly soft your skin will feel.
I noticed that my skin also feels tight as if I used a toner. I figure if something is full of minerals, antioxidants, B and E vitamins etc it must be good. What works for me is I wash my face and then spray, then leave to air dry. Then spray again and leave to airdry. Then finally wash off. You can use it as a toner and or facial rinse. It's up to you. I use it on my hair as well and I noticed I shed waaaaay less. But if your hair is low porosity, try not to use too often.

What else? Be sure to use good rice o! Ehen. I plan to try this out with ofada rice and see how it goes! But will stick to my rice water challenge till end of year and hopefully beyond. I love alternative recipes so I try out a lot to see what actually works and doesn't for me.

I'm also doing palm oil body mask challenge and warm water challenge too o! This stuff is fun for me!

*boiling method use the water you use to parboil rice allow to cool down before use and store the rest in the fridge if you want or leave at room temperature. I found out that I can actually use essential oil or rind of lemon or orange if the smell is too strong but mbanu I go squeeze nose, use am like that. Don't want anything tampering with the efficacy!

    1. Somebody on the blog recommended something and you want to try it? Abi? As long as you are eating healthy, load in different types of veggies and fruits, eat protein , take lots of water. With medicine, self medication is not advisable except prescribed.

yes posted she is right. also you can add a table spoon of honey in a glass of water. adulterated honey dissolves and you would see it round while pure honey settles at the bottom.check Google for more tips
