Speaker Dogara Says He Left APC Because He Was Asked To Beg For A Re-Run Ticket...

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has given the main reason he left the ruling All Progressives Congress(APC).

He tweeted...

''I was presented with the PDP @HouseNGR nomination form by my constituents. They urged me to relinquish membership of the ruling APC and stated reasons such as the blatant injustice and outright disregard for democratic principles being perpetrated within the party.

That there have been infractions isn’t news, but what I have kept from the public – until this moment - is that even while reconciliation efforts were on, I was told to beg for a ticket if I wished to return to the House of Representatives.

Representing my people has been an honour & no one should have to suffer the indignity of begging before being allowed to exercise a constitutional right.

I had even considered stepping aside as I’ve held this position for close to 12 years but as my constituents have asked that I seek re-election, then I must heed their call''.

  1. Why do they always come up with the information that their constituency want them back or begging them to continue? Some their form were bought by the same constituency that always complain of no project initiated or done by this representatives, isn't this ironical? Nigerians politicians are really magicians and funny at the same time. Truth is that Dogara constituency has been captured by PDP. Even when he was still in APC, PDP swept the bye election held in his backyard. Maybe it was a signal to him.

Please,Hon Dogara how old is your first child? Can't you give way for the young to grow? Go and seek governorship position if you are too influential.
