I don't see anything wrong with political rivals giving condolences to each other over their personal loss, life happens to all of us. If the issue was the posting of the condolence message, it is really not that big of a deal. Perhaps your mother was a good woman who had a good spirit that even political rivals respected her enough to show up and take a moment to pay a tribute. Didn't John McCain just have Obama and Bush eulogize him at his funeral? Some things are bigger than politics, and your mother's death should be one of them. Don't dim your mother's glory and life by wrapping her up in political mess.
