Senate President Saraki Talks Tough On Replacing Buhari As President

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Friday stated that he is sure of emerging as the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the party’s October 6 primaries.

He, therefore, enjoined Nigerians to stop President Muhammadu Buhari’s plan to continue in office beyond 2019.

Saraki was speaking in Owerri, the Imo state capital, where he met with PDP stakeholders.

The Senate President also said that voting out Buhari is the “only way to ensure national unity and security”.

According to him, “I will continue to fight for the masses. We have to change the leadership. We need a leadership that would ensure justice and fair distribution of national appointments. As a president, I will ensure everybody has a seat on his table. I will restore global reputation. Countries are built by handwork and vision.

“South East people are hardworking, their entrepreneurial spirit is wonderful. As a president, I will partner south East to emerge the next tiger of Africa in business. You don’t build what you don’t have. I therefore appeal to the delegates to vote wisely.

“We must change Buhari with a man that has capacity ,integrity and vision in order to realise our potentials. I believe in restructuring that would give States opportunities to realise their potentials. I promoted made in Aba products. As a president i will support local businesses and ensure property.

“We need to have a President that will ensure prosperity, nobody wants a hand out. I am committed to the development of Southeast because it is in the best interest of Nigeria. You need the President that has the youthfulness, the energy to deliver.”

  1. Saraki is a good orator lolz... Truth be told, he will do better than Buhari even though politicians can't be trusted. Buhari has done badly and doesn't deserve another term in office. Never a time has this country been divided under ethnic and religion lines than under Mohammadu Buhari the tyrant, despot and bigot.

    1. So says one of the terrorists whose group (IPOB) was proscribed by Buhari. Who is more religious and ethnic bigoted in Nigeria than Biafrans? Despite all your group's trial to divide Nigeria with terror we still remain one Nigeria, unshakable. Who is more tribalistic, ethnic bigotted and wants Nigeria's division than Biafrans? We understand your hate for Buhari. But don't just come out to claim biafran again anywhere in Nigeria, else you get shot like poh poh poh 😝😜

    2. I wouldn't go into argument with you because you are immature on that and filled with hate. Let some better persons come for us to argue and not you because you can't stand it. I need a sound mind that is educated.

    3. You Mr are the very immature one.Thats why I seldom reply all Your hate filled comments here. All you spew on political posts here is ethnic and religious intolerance, hatred and bigotry..the ramblings of a Biafran. So I never argue with you. And that's why I've urged Political Anonymous to stop engaging you either. #So Long! ✌✌

    4. Hahahaha now I get it clear. So you were the one that employed him in the first instance. Only a man who hire can also fire. I will confidently argue with the both of you on any issue here. But you are too immature and can't hold good argument or conversation being the Fulani terrorist you are. Please bring me someone from your mosque let's talk while you read.

    6. @bigbanty I never said that but only illustrated a point. Place both Saraki and Buhari side by side in modern governance, I think Saraki will do better than him. I don't have any favorites at heart but only stated the personality of Buhari.

    7. I pity you ooo...Go to Kwara State and see the wonders Saraki performed as a Governor for 8 years..May we not be cursed with Saraki being our President. I am an indigene and lived in that State for years. Nigerians, please do not make that mistake!!!

    9. Teejay I'll choose Buhari over Saraki anytime anyday. The ethnic division u mentioned started during GEJ's campaign when all they could campaign with is Islamization of Nigeria. Saraki that couldn't effectively run a bank and keep it afloat. A man that was disloyal to his father and a party that brought him to power. He betrayed his party just to become Senate president. Turned Kwara state into his personal property. Abeg make Saraki go siddon! He is one of the problems we have in this Country

    1. @Bisi what was the father's wish? I hate when people say things like this. Do you know the father wanted his daughter being Saraki sister to become governor after Saraki but Saraki refused and gave the ticket and support to this current government. Do you know the sister went ahead to contest on another party and failed? Now tell me what is wrong with Saraki did? Is it family business? Just like Rochas is messing himself up trying to install his in law, the husband to his daughter as governor so as to cover his crime. To you is that fair? Please aside what I just said above, tell me other thing Saraki did to his father maybe I don't know.

  3. If all PDP presidential aspirants were to come together and contest against Buhari, they wouldn't be able to beat Buhari in a free and fair election. All of them put together, not just Saraki so he should stop giving himself hope. Buhari is loved by the masses so he needn't do much to win election in this present Nigeria

    1. No wonder you are still a Mr Nobody in 2018 when even Bobrisky is making it. From your comment I can also tell that you do not understand the concept of Love. Your brain needs to be overhauled if you think that Buhari AKA Mr Lifeless President can easily win a re-election in this country. The two of you deserve each other, leave the rest of us out of it!

    1. Very importantly. They should conduct a referendum but the caliphate are afraid for they stand the chance to lose out. If the northern caliphate think the masses are with them, then why not conduct a referendum? Or is referendum now a treasonable offence?

  8. It's a shame that some people still support buhari to continue after all wat he did to our dear country within de last 3 years.. Well anybody that still want the country to remain stagnant should go ahead and vote for baba as for me I'll rather remain in a country where there's no president than having someone like Buhari in power..
