President Buhari Re-Appoints Amaechi As His Campaign DG For 2019

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday officially named the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, as the Director-General of his campaign organisation for his re-election bid in 2019.

Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, said this in a statement.

Months ago, it came to fore that Amaechi had operating as the head of the campaign organisation when he announced Mr. Festus Keyamo (SAN), as its spokesperson.

The announcement came as a formal re-appointment of Amaechi as the Director-General of the campaign organisation that spearheaded the campaigns of the President and his deputy, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo as then candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 presidential election which they won.

Although, Amaechi had months ago, named Festus Keyamo (SAN), as the spokesperson for the campaign organisation, Shehu said in his statement on Thursday that the former Governor of Rivers States would, with his formal re-appointment name other appointments into the campaign structure as approved by President Buhari.

  4. If this buhari is not a wicked person, he won't clearly be trying to contest for a second tenure. Like what they hell? Has he not achieved his dreams yet of returning to ASO rock? Does he want to kill Nigerians? Doesn't he think of these people he's ruling? Goooosh. All these politicians do not have the interest of the citizens at all. I'm so angry. God please don't let this second destruction happen. Have mercy on Nigerians
