Osinbajo Fires Back At Atiku Over Restructuring Of Nigeria Debate

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Minnesota, the United States of America, Osinbajo had said the problem of Nigeria was not geographical restructuring but prudent management of national resources.

The Vice President had also noted that the prudent management of the nation’s resources and the provision of essential needs of the people were better ways of addressing Nigeria’s development challenges.

“Problem with our country is not a matter of restructuring…and we must not allow ourselves to be drawn into the argument that our problems stem from some geographical restructuring,” he had said.

But Abubakar on Saturday faulted the stance of his successor, stressing that the current Vice President got it wrong on restructuring.

In an open letter he personally signed and sent to DAILY POST, Osinbajo insisted that restructuring in “whatever shape or form, will not mean much if our political leaders see public resources as an extension of their bank accounts.”

  1. I think Osibanjo isn't a good politician if I am to say. I will go with Atiku on this, the country need to be restructure back to the way it used to be. Only on that can the economy grow better.

  4. I wish that the 'salary' and allowances of our politicians can be restructured;if only it can be less attractive and made public, the struggle for political office or desire to remain in office will not be this crazy. It will not only screen out the thieves around them but give us leaders who are will to SERVE.

How can a presidential form be sold for 55m??? what message is that passing to candidates???

Just like the video Ifuennada and Alex posted yesterday;SAVE OUR NIGERIA...

  6. Restructuring for me is total overhaul. (1) let every region manage their resources (2) let every region contribute to the centre (3) let's have state and federal police as is done in the US . (4) let the federal government collect taxes (5) let the federal government control the armed forces ect (6) let the senators earn N700,000 per month with 2 support staff , who would earn N150,000 each per month , with NO constituency projects with slight variation for officers of NAS, (7) let the president NOT earn more than N1.4m per month (8) let restructure our population too, each family 2 kids max, baby mama 1 kid, if you like marry 4 wives, only 2 kids that must be trained to university level (9) declare emergency on education I.e all children must be in school (10) declare emergency on agriculture, NOT the lip service and lies going on, like ensuring that every farm has at least 1 tractor (11) declare emergency on home and stolen technology, create research institutions, technology incubation centers and institutions that will mass produce developed technologies in areas like agriculture, transportation, agro processing , ICT etc , the list is endless, how can a man that does NOT understand basic elementary economics do this things. Today India is world leader in textile industries because the first Prim minister refused to put British made suits, Google is your friend. 99.9% of textile in Nigeria is India or China, what are we not saying ? Young people like us will not be allowed to contribute, either they kill through book, herdsmen, kidnapping or assassination, so we kept mute, but now have decided to speak, so I expect all to speak out.
