Nigerian Parents Arrested In The US After Son Died During Religious Fast.

A Nigerian couple has been arrested in the US for allegedly allowing their teenage son to starve to death and his brother to become severely emaciated during a religious fast.

Wisconsin prosecutors charged Kehinde Omosebi, 49, and Titilayo Omosebi, 48, with child neglect causing death and child neglect causing great bodily harm. Both charges are felonies and carry a combined maximum sentence of 37 years in prison .

Reedsburg Police Chief Timothy Becker says the father went to the police station Sunday to report the death of his 15-year-old son. When police arrived at the family’s home they found the dead teen and an extremely emaciated 11-year-old boy.

The mother was also found to be emaciated.

Becker said the father told police he was a minister affiliated with Cornerstone Reformation Ministries and that the family had started a religious fast on July 19. Investigators do not believe the father is a minister and made up the name of the ministry.

Becker says police do not believe the father is a minister..

The younger boy and his mother were brought to the hospital. The mother refused treatment, citing religious reasons, and was taken to the Sauk County Jail.
The 11-year-old is in protective custody at Children’s Hospital in Madison

    1. See how they are looking like octogenarians. Starvation wouldn't kill someone overnight, it would take a very long time to starve someone to death. They deserve to die by Starvation. Sick fucks. When people are looking for children up and down.

    2. Is it not someone that sees food in the house or has money to buy food that will eat codedly?
If it were to be in Nigeria, the boy would have gone to friends and neighbours and eat codedly. What am I saying sef? They may be locked up in a room and mandated to keep praying and worshipping till the break of fast everyday. Its sad that the poor boy died. It should have been one of the stupid parents.

Always pastor this pastor that! I was even nearly raped by a pastor she trusted so much! When my mother became sick all the so called pastor ran away they couldn't even visit her in the hospital. When she realised that she was already dying! My we not fall victim to pastors and so called religion. Use your sense and shine your eyes Wella! Most of all this churches in Nigeria cannot thrive in Europe eg Finland, Norway,Sweden,Denmark,Austria because Oyibo will not fall for that offering scam in churches! Stella abi I lie??

    1. Me I have warned my mother the next time she mention pastor to me I will be forced to be rude and drop the phone on her.
Is it a sin to be 30 and single in Nigeria. See that Pastor, go for that deliverance. She made me waste 100k to give to one fake pastor I havnt recovered, she now tells me to travel from Lagos to Delta state, to see another fake one.
I have reported her to my father who has warned her to leave me.

  16. These ones are unfortunate in life.. They will not only deal with the loss of a child, but they will spend a chunk of their fasting lives there.

Some of them prefer practicing religion to life and they turn around to question the people that value Cows more than humans.
Why are we so obsessed about the idea of Religion more than the actual God we should serve?

    1. Kids should not be fasting. They have all the time in the world to be adults and then decide if they want to on their own accord.
I have an aunt whose husband is a pastor, she says it that fasting is her own weakness. She cant do it, she will begin to have migraine, tremors etc. And her husband understands.
But her own strength is prayers, she can be in the spirit and pray for hours, she can do all manner of vigils sef.

    2. Fasting is ok for teenagers. Everything in moderation. Just break by 12noon or even 10am. Break anytime you need to. The kid didn't die from one day fast

    3. Anon so 11yr old should be fasting?
Hope you know an 11yr old is still growing. Besides he doesn't know how his body works yet. If an adult starts seeing he is severly dehydrated or his urine starts changing colour he knows when his health is in danger to stop.
A 15 and 11yr old don't know all this. If a fast is forced and not coming from your heart then no need for it.
Parents have been known to fast for their little kids.

  23. May be they have no food in the house and no money to buy too. So, they decided to fast for a Miracle to happen

  24. Why adults like to involve children in their foolishness is beyond me. What business does an 11yr old have fasting. Children's bodies are still growing even at 16, they need their proper protein intake and electrolytes and salt for their cellular processes to be carried out. Jesus was a grown man when he was fasting, he was not a child or teenager. This forming over religious until you kill off your child.

Nigerians are RIGGING Elections and then fast? Nigerians fast, then are corrupt and pervert every processes... HYPOCRISY GALORE!!!
