This was contained in a terse statement released Sunday night by M.A. Sani- Omolori, Clerk of the National Assembly.
He said: “This is to inform all Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members that resumption of plenary session earlier scheduled for Tuesday, 25th September has been postponed to Tuesday 9th October due to the activities of the primaries of the political parties.
“All Distinguished Senators and Honourable members are expected to resume plenary session by 10 am on the 9th of October, please.”
It would be recalled that the All Progressives Congress (APC), last Tuesday, reacted to claim that the Buhari government was a planning forceful change of leadership at the national assembly.

They should remain closed for ever. I don't see their usefulness at all
ReplyDeleteI said it last month that this will happen, that the resumption will be shifted on the ground of parties primary. After the primaries, those who didn't clinch a return ticket in their party will decamp to another party to pursue their interest. Mark it this day, a huge defection is on the corner.
ReplyDeleteLMAO... Nigerian politicians are just incorrigible. The decamping issue should have a law guiding it. Fine, you cannot stop anyone from defecting because that's an infringment on their right of association. It's just painful to see how they are going about it I.e suspending plenary activities.
ReplyDeleteOnly God can fix Nigeria.
As all these their holiday no dey affect their salary, Useless people..
