Motherhood With TeeWhy -Enjoyment Galore In Lagos.

Lagos is fun!

We went to a very clean private beach on the Island...it was a Very clean beach and there was no debris piled around..

The girls had fun riding horses....

My friend told me one scary gist of WHAT happened to her years back so i refused to allow them enter the water...

My friend said before she got married  she went to the beach, and was rejoicing that she was in Lagos with her boyfriend, but she didn't know that the current of the water was strong, and it swept her off her feet and carried her away and she didn't know how to swim and the water carried her back and forth until two
life savers grabbed her arms and led her out of the water.

They took her to that their high white chair and detained her there after they give her first aid, Guess what? They said the friend that came with her should organise something for them before she is released.

Until this day,she still cannot even enter a small swimming pool.

My mommy tentacles didn't allow me leave my girls alone...I was just telling them no water and they couldn't understand why they couldn't put their legs in the water...
I am not ready to hear their Father tell stories of how many rivers he crossed to marry me.

*I was almost carried away by water at the bar beach one Christmas many many years ago....it was a horrible experience and one of the reasons i have a phobia for entering water....Anytime we go swimming i just sit by the side and play with phone or throw balls into the water....i can put my legs in but if my body enters water....wahala dey.....lol

  4. My mom put the fear of water in my siblings and I. She will tell us that any water you can't see the ground, don't put your leg. I think it was the era of rainy season when gutters would be covered and Innocent children drown. My friend always teases me saying delta babe that can't swim.

  5. Water can be very beautiful especially a small river or stream with stones and rocks adorning the banks but the beaches in Lagos are mostly dirty and there are no signs warning people to beware of the water that can suddenly surge and carry people away.

Anyway, water is one of the most beautiful things God created

  6. I am a chronic hydrophobic, I remember when I was little I was scared of flushing the toilet because of the rolling water stuff and the sound, I still scared of using showers and crossing bridges, flowing streams and if you want to me to faint take me to waterfall.
    Abeg, God deliver me.
