The petitioner said that he wanted to put an end to the relationship that was blessed with four children.
He told the court that he was no longer interested in the marriage because of Titilayo’s alleged habitual destruction of household property during misunderstanding.
Ajetunmobi said that the wife threatened to douse the husband with hot vegetable oil, when he wanted to demarcate his shop.
According to him, his wife registered their first son as an apprentice tailor, after his secondary education in 2016, without his knowledge.
“My lord, I have to leave my house and rented another apartment to save my life from my wife. Each time we have misunderstanding, my wife used to destroy our property; I remember in 2004, when we had an argument, she broke the front glass of my Toyota Camry.
“Enough is enough, I am tired of her trouble, intolerable behaviour, no rest of mind and destruction of property; please separate us,” Ajetunmobi pleaded.
On her part, the wife, however, debunked the husband’s allegations.
“My husband is lying; the problem started when I attended his family party in Agbado.I discovered that my husband had married another wife and they put on the same cloth.
“Since that day, he started beating me; I broke the windscreen of his motor because the beating was too much.
I do not want to divorce him because of our four children; I do not want them to suffer,” she said.
In his ruling, the court’s President, Mr Sakirudeen Adekola, however, adjourned the case until October 9, for further hearing, to enable the two families to resolve their differences.

ReplyDeleteI pity the woman most. the husband broke her heart, she broke windscreen, I like that just as I am planning to destroy my husband's mistress forever, funny they thought I don't know
ReplyDeleteWhy will a woman break things cos of beating? if he is beating you why don't you leave? you just stay and raise kids in an abusive marriage and you think you are doing them good? no you aren't.
ReplyDeleteWhy will a man be beating her in the first place
DeleteWomen are always at the receiving end even with both of them at fault
ReplyDeleteOh, now you are blaming her but you are conveniently not blaming the man for beating her,so on what grounds should she break stuff, imagine your sentence, "why will a woman break things cos of beating"? have you ever been beaten before? Do you know the heart break and destruction of self esteem that comes with it. Let's learn how to put mouth in cases abeg. Even though she shouldn't have destroyed those things but hey people act differently to issues. The man is tired of her and wants her out. Wicked man. After how many years again...
ReplyDeleteWhy on earth should you beat your wife?. Is she your child or younger sibling?. This reminds me of my younger sister those days, If you beat her, be ready to face the consequence, Its either she use stone and scatter your head from afar or give you a very big bite that will remind you of that particular beating forever. The way I hate beating. chai.
ReplyDeleteAs per the woman. The man has moved on with another woman, Please move on. Our destiny is not tied to anyone.
