Labour Room Drama 229

This cracked me but also gave me goose bumps...na wah oooh....

Good day Stella....long time no comment, lol

I just got a new phone last week and decided to send in my labour room drama ish(na single mum I be shaaa,so no bae or hubby in the scenes).

I was already one month past my due date, water hasn't broken,no spotting whatsoever,I was always on the edge and anxious but my Lil one was doing OK.

One morning I woke up to find blood stains on my undies..I panicked, gathered my delivery luggage and went straight to my hospital, the gynaecologist came to examine me,he said :young lady you can go home by afternoon come back hopefully you would be fully dilated,I was like OK,even though it wasn't OK,I went back home.

By afternoon I had already started having cramp-like pains,it would hit me for few seconds and then vanish,I decided to extend my afternoon to evening before I going back to the hospital.
By evening the pains worsened but it wasn't something I couldn't handle,I was still feeling fly when I walked to the hospital.I was examined again they were like nothing o....I should still relax.By 7pm the doctor came and said he was going to induce my labour, and that was when it all began,my people.

I asked him initially, doc how would it be like,he smiled it's just a simple procedure we would connect u to an IV fluid, pass the drugs through it and before you know your baby is here.

It was my first pregnancy,I literally ran away from home to have the child(judginas swerve plz).I was like OK let's get on with it doc...

20mins into the induction of labour my body changed,my head, hands, waist, feet, everything went their separate ways..lol
I was shouting DOCTOR!!!!why did u lie na..u could have just said the truth!!! doctor onye asi!!.The pains were......infact..I can't explain it.

The nurse came by 8:09pm and examined me , disconnected the IV and said I should walk down the hall and back..I couldn't walk but i could do anything to get off that IV God!!

As I stood up an elderly woman walked up to me,she was there with her daughter who had already put to bed the previous day.she said my daughter is OK,she asked me not to worry that the baby was going to come in Jesus name, and she held my hand as we both walked down the hall and back, she was praying for me,releasing fire in my uterus, when she screams holyghostFIRE!!!

It would be like my whole waist was being pulled away from the rest of my body,I had to cry out MAMA OOH!!!easy with the fire ooh, before I burn from it,she didn't listen she continued till I couldn't stand anymore..
The doctor took me back to the labour room, connected the IV back and the pain tripled.....I was screaming down the whole hospital, even the street people heard me that night,it continued o till 5am in the morning,I was already weak, water did not break, nothing happened.

By 5am they checked and muttering words like ...."u sure say something fit come out from here".."she is a minor"...I wanted to scream back that I wasn't a minor, but I held back. One of the nurses said to me if you feel like you want to use the toilet tell me I'll disconnect u.... immediately on impulse I said yes ooh I want to use the toilet..she moved to the birthing bed touched my stomach and Sid I should push.
First PUSH...!!! D excreta I passed was out of this world LMAO!
Second same ni.....the nurse now got a needle inserted in my vjay and boom warm water poured out..she became more serious

Madam push...I did she poured d olive oil,and said the head is here but I'll have to cut u so it can pass through ...next thing she gave me long tear with the surgical blade...and said to push again..I did and BAAAM!!!!!!cry .
I was so relieved..I forgot the cut she gave me..she shouted doctor!!she is bleeding too much I can't stitch her.

No anaesthetic was administered, nothing, they just kept poking me,it would loosen, they would poke again no way....they now stuffed me with pads and tried and behold it held.

I Am grateful to God
Stella ...it's been 2yrs and God has been faithful.
Thanks ma'am.

  18. Wow....God indeed deposited A WHOLE LOT in women! the pains of child delivery can never be fully described by any painful word in the dictionary. I thanks God for the strength he gave you to go through this...and to think that you did it ALONE??? wow! I was equally induced via IV when i had my first child: naturally dilated to 6cm and the doctor suggested induction or injection. I picked the former and i can say my expereince that night is one i never wish for my greatest enemy. Hubby & my mum turned to my greatest enemies> they said i was screaming and shouting and speaking the kind of pidgin they've never heard before. I was so angry at both of them that i asked the doc not to let them in the delivery room. after changing beds for 3 times in 3 different rooms, i finally got to 10cm, was led to the labour room and 3 pushes later, Kimberly came to the world! After she was delivered, i FORGOT all the pains i went through and fell in REAL, SINCERE, INNOCENT love for the very first time in my life!

  22. Congratulations dear. Please you cant be 1 month past your due date. Duee date which is your EDD is approximately 40weeks. So you have just 2 more weeks that for that pregancy .once the pregnancy is approaching 41 weeks 3 days somethong has to be done to bring out the baby. I think the hospital nurses and doctors are practising quackery not to have used local anaesthesia to sure the episiotomy. Except if your are not sure , a surgical blade is not used ro give an episiotomy. An episiotomy scissors is used to give an episiotomy. The nurse probably didnt cut in the right direction or may be it was too deep. Episiotomies arr usually sutured by midwives. Please next time go to a good hospital. Wish your baby a successful life. All the best dear.

  24. my baby's umbilical cord was around his neck,no one knew, but the doctor noticed there was something wrong, after labouring throughout the night. He had to perform a caesarian in the early hours of the morning. My baby's face was so swollen up, i thank God there were no complications in anyway and he wasn't oxygen deprived due to the cord. A friend of mine had a similar experience, it was when they noticed that there was discharge of faecal matter that, they realised her baby was in distress, but then, it was too late. She lost her child, and he was a boy, whom she longed for, after having girls. I've decided that i aint going to stress my self with a vaginal birth for the rest of my pregnancies.
