Tell them how much they mean to me and how i wouldnt say it to someone i was not close to..then i would offer them some kind of minty sweets and tell them that their mouth has an odour and i think having such mints would help hold the smell....Vice and eye contact would matter a lot here.
If the person is very close to me, there is no nice way to say it than to say it with all honesty
ReplyDeleteThere is always a nice way dear. You can't just tell him/her that your mouth is stinking. Stinking is an extreme word. Choice of words are important. E.g. "honey, your mouth has a some odor today, do you think you need a change of toothpaste?"

DeleteI had a colleague that was so good looking,very neat in appearance with socks and nice ties to match but his breath stank and he sat next to me.
DeleteI would sometimes use style to cover my nose when it gets so bad. We were close but I cld never tell him.
But I noticed after some time it didn't smell again. It stopped when he started dating his fiance,he got his own place and the girl does all his house shopping.i Have a feeling he started using good mouthwash and toothpaste.
The problem is many people were not taught to brush their tongue well with good quality brush,toothpaste and mouth wash if possible. Many ppl just brush their teeth without concentrating on the tongue. Brushing twice a day also helps.
Just buy gum and offer it to the person.

Niccur has/had serious mouth odor even after brushing his teeth, his mouth still stinks.
I was just enduring the thing cus I loved him...until the day the was mocking his friend that had brown teeth. I told him "babe, brown teeth is better than bad mouth odor" he was like "I can't date someone that has mouth/body odor".

ReplyDeleteI will start by asking the person the toothpaste he/she normally use, after that I will asked how often the person has been changing his/her tooth brush. By asking all these questions the person will understand where am heading to.

Mouth odor needs a dentist. If it's your husband, just make an appointment for the family. Everyone is going .Hope the dentist will take over from there. Mouth odor can be due to many things including cavities and plaque. Instead of saying you have odor, I dicuss the other things. Like you have some plaque, u need to see a dentist to scrape those off. Or have you ever had cavities. These two are actually very common. If you have plaque but can't afford a dentist, you can buy the equipment they use or sterilize a new relatively sharp point object and use it to remove plaque yourself

DeleteI have terrible mouth odour, I've done everything. I have been to the dentist, I brush 3 times in the morning and once at night. I use mouth wash, hydrogen peroxide, tongue scrapper, tongue brush, gunk tongue paste and glycerin. I floss and all, in fact I'm just tired.
