But some of her late husband’s older children have vowed to oppose her candidacy, should she emerge as APGA’s standard bearer for the election. Some members of the Ojukwu family, including Dr. Ike Ojukwu, Emeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu Jnr., and Chief Debe Odumegwu- Ojukwu, reportedly noted that it would not be proper to allow a woman from Ngwo, in Enugu State, to represent Anambra South Senatorial District.
Among other reasons they advanced for opposing her senatorial ambition, the late Biafran warlord’s children argued that Bianca could, in the future, marry a man from another state. They also cast doubts on her marriage to the late Ikemba, noting that she was not one of their own.
However, Bianca’s siblings have responded to the attack on their sister.
Speaking on behalf of the family of the late C. C. Onoh, (Bianca’s father), Bianca’s brother, Dr Josef Umunnakwe Onoh, said Ojukwu’s children were ignorant of the Nigerian laws.
Onoh also dismissed the Ojukwu children’s claims that the marriage between their father and Bianca was not contracted in the proper procedure. Bianca’s brother insisted that the opposition from Ojukwu’s children would not stop Bianca from winning the election.

Please can someone educate me on what that tremendous achievement from Bianca Ojukwu is? She is a lawyer who has never practiced law. Her only claim to fame is being a runner up for the Miss Nigeria Beauty Contest and marrying a man older than her father! Her ambassador job was given to her on sentiment and as compensation for being Ojukwu's widow. In my opinion, she is only looking for trouble trying to go for senate in Anambra.She is not qualified based on experience. She is only trying to use her position as Ojukwu's widow to her advantage yet again! Moreover if she thinks she is all that, why cant she go and contest in Enugu state where she is from and let us see how much influence she welds there.The likes of Daisy Danjuma went to the senate for their own people in Edo not her husbands state. Just like Abike Dabiri went for House of rep in Lagos state. She is becoming over ambitious and that is a bad sign.
