ReplyDeleteEven those that are guilty will still like & comment "true", " word"

Lol but not only actors but everyone, don't be deceived by what people post on sm.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I want a beautiful size like that at the same age.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, I love the maturity in her language. Obviously she is not beefing anyone. She just said the truth.

ReplyDeletesocial media is an illusion, i got married my friends didnt know shit, it took a good fews years after my first child that SM friends knew i had a child....i got separated for years yet SM friends knew zilch, when we reconciled, had other children years after SM friends knew zilch... through all, i only ever post happy smiling pictures. I never post anything about my marital life and i have now been married for over a decade...... "friends" who didnt know the personal challenges i was going thru would comment hying me as well as chitchat amongst themselves which eventually got back to me, how i was living the fab life, "Obviously happily married" bla bla bla: if only they knew the dark and lonely part i was walking at the time.
ReplyDeleteBottomline is, through my choices, my life, i have learnt that what you see on SM is but an illusion. If you choose to drink otapiapia becos your friend in the abroad is wearing fur coat and posing with coffee in front of a gated house, filled with snow pathway, be rest assured that village people will flog your corpse properly.
Live your life on your terms, run your own course diligently and morally
I love you.
DeleteWELL SAID...I MISS PEPPER OSE OKU,DR AGWOTURUMBE, PAT OGAR AND THE REST OF THEM.
DeleteAbout the 'abroad' bit - that's for ppl those sort of things trip.
DeleteNa today
ReplyDeleteThat's how a friend was posting fabulous pictures on FB from Dubai. I was so happy for him and you can imagine the comments! After 6months he came back and gave me a very scary gist about what he was passing through while posting those pictures. He was a victim of a job scam. His passport was seized once he paid the scammers the cost of his flight and arrival to Dubai. They paid initially so as to convince him the job was genuine. He had to 'fight' them with the authorities before his passport was given back to him. Meanwhile his old father and wife had to raise money, purchased ticket and sent to him before he could return to Nigeria. 6months of horrendous experience which those fun pictures never depicted.
ReplyDeleteSo true, goes for everyone not only the celebrities.....hmmmm live your life on your terms good word there@sylvia
ReplyDeleteTrue words from an elder,God bless you ma.
ReplyDeleteThere are two sides to this SM thingy. Of course, not everything there is real. But don't stay waiting for bad news about someone to make yourself feel better about them. I only follow pages of people I love and I hope to God that their lives is as it seems on SM or even better. SM can cause deep envy/comparison in people, but it can also cause inspiration in others. I love food and travel posts on IG, I save and download many of them. I want to try new recipes, I want to travel. But someone else is jealousing same travel pics of people that is a source of joy and inspiration to me. I won't mind having a friend who posts her entire life on IG like Toke, but I would be careful of a friend who is busy measuring people's happiness on Ig and trying to prove that everybody is sad. Abegi, control your envy. Some people are living good lives. Not perfect, but good enough. And if you're a christian, then you shouldn't covet others material things, or their IG posts, should you?
