Waje Finally Pays Off Former PA After Call Out

All's well that ends well......

Nice one Waje!

  1. Nonsense, they all live above their income, why would you refused paying someone for their work?

  2. Waje SHOULD have paid her from the very start. If she reads this I would also suggest her lawyers draw up a proper employment contract which includes a Non Disclosure Agreement. I am an employer and if someone asks for study leave, sick leave, medical pay and motherly love all in one month my organisation will have to let them go. Obviously something went wrong during the interview process and the candidates were not properly vetted. All the best to both parties.

    1. Whatever but Waje should have paid her for the days she worked . How can someone work for you and you start hiding under probation? Very irresponsible act.
She should have paid her and told her to quit, a won shy locks.

  8. So in this girls mind now,she has won
If only she knows that the aftermart of calling your employer out in public in more horrible than she thinks.

First of all she called out her employer in public with the aim of shaming her but has forgotten that other HR personnels or employers of labour also read the blog, which means that No sane HR Manager will employer her into their company because they already know that she will be a high maintenance employees with low productivity.

She has just told the world that if you employ her in her first month she will ask for sick leave, medical fee, academic leave, motherly love and Co.

She has just told the world that she cannot work under pressure and cannot keep company confidential matters secret and would air it out to the world anytime she doesn't get her way.

Infact she just told every employer of labour that she is unemployable and No HR Manager in their right mind will employ a basket mouth like her.

So after finishing that her Special school she better be ready to look for a job in her father's compound.

Sometimes the problems people cause for themselves arise from wanting to thrend stupidly when they want to form "I KNOW MY RIGHT".waje never mentioned anyone's name.

90% of companies put their staffs on probation, even when you join the civil service.some of this companies won't pay you until after your probation has ended they pay everything in bulk.while others pay you only a fraction of the agreed salary and when you finish your probation you get paid everything...so waje didn't commit a crime by putting her on probation and not paying her.plus having 4 P.A in 4 months doesn't mean waje has a problem, the truth is SOME of our Nigerian youths are lazy when it comes to working. They want small work and big pay

Tell me if you are an employer in any sector of the economy will you employ her after reading her stupid public outburst????

    2. Abegiii.

Stop defending something that is inhumane and unprofessional. Your staff first is human.

Have you worked in an organization before and I mean not a mushroom one. Every employee should be given the Company's handbook and your offer letter should state the necessary info such as annual leave, sick leave , probation period, work hours, salary etc.

if you are going to be on probation without salary then it should be in your offer letter so the employee can accept or reject .

You don't fire someone and then the person asks for her salary and you say No I am not paying you, you were on probation. How outrageous and wicked? Maybe the girl had to borrow money to come to work for the period and you just fire without her salary. So she should work for free? Let Waje's daughter do the job now.

Did she tell her ab nitio she was going to be on probation without pay? She saw a naive girl and wanted to take advantage.

If you need a volunteer, advertise for one. Even in the uk the volunteer's transport and lunch is paid.

And forgot this talk about nobody will employ her, what do you know?????

    5. Not all HR think like you do..I see a lady who is bold and can't be intimidated .I will gladly employ her if I can.The other ladies that left before her ain't guaranteed of an employment anywhere. So you fight for what you deserve.Morever Waje did the outburst feeling like a superstar, she only responded to it.

    6. I call bullshit to your whole write up. The job wasn't even a professional job to start with. What are you even talking about? "No sane hr would employ her into their company" you are kidding right? no sane hr or company would make one work for a whole month without paying he or she. Waje was very unprofessional for not paying and could have been sued. An accommodation for school and impromptu emergencies is always available to workers be it their first week or not, incase you don't know employees are entitled to a certain amount of personal time, vacation time, sick leave, f.m.l.a and also unpaid personal time, maternity leave, short term disability and all these are supposedly made available on your start day except the f.m.l.a which has conditions on when one can use it and it varies from one company to another. Stop writing nonsense, it's a typical Nigerian p.a kind of job where one will even do things outside their work description and even outside their work hours because most Nigerian employers don't know how to be professionals. I don't know what country work ethics and standard you're speaking about but I know it's not nigeria, and I don't know of any country where they put 90% of employees on a no pay probation. When you throw in numbers like that be very specific because supposedly it's a fact but 90% is rather ambiguous, where did u get this statsistics from?

    8. LEP,
You have made some good points. As I wrote in the first post, I have issues with that PA, but my issue with Waje was not paying her.
I'll refer to your 8th paragraph. If you must withhold the salary of an employee under probation, the employee must be aware before resumption of duty. This is usually stated in the employment contract. Employers dont just formulate the policy on pay day. You are told, you're given the letter and you acknowledge receipt thereby making it binding. I don't think there was any form of agreement or such and Waje must have just told her to resume so so day and get receive xyz amount month end.
You see, agreement is agreement and we must be fair in our dealings with others.
Social media can make or mar you; so the onus is on us to use the platform wisely.
      I wish them goodluck!

    9. I'll also refer to your 9th paragraph,
Remember that some people said Ceec would never get any endorsement because of her attitude, but she's been getting endorsements since she left the house. True or false.
In the end, God has the final say. Don't you ever forget that.

    10. I am an employer and I will employ her. What she did was a response to Waje's post saying youths are lazy.

    11. Hiannn iv never heard of probation period without pay before. Most companies do probation for 6months before they confirm you as a full staff. And you get your salary monthly during this period.
To avoid unnecessary talk Waje should have paid her even if she did only one week and then tell her sorry it ain't working for her.
Iv hired maids that have spent just a week and I saw I can't manage them. I give them their pay and wish them good luck. No fight,it ain't working. I pay you and wish you good luck in your future endeavours. No need for rant.

    12. Abeg go and seat down, HR that has hired their brother and sister and relations and friends...which job even remain for strangers.
Nigeria Labour law is rubbish that’s why you people use others peoples life to do rubbish in the name of HR.
That’s how some idiot hired me a while back and started demanding me to do stuff that has nothing to do with my job, the last stroke was his complaining that his house was not clean when he came back from his trip, I swear I wanted to abuse him, he even had the mouth to say I should have hired someone to clean the house that his houseboy didn’t do a good job, mind you my role was manager of his miserable company.
Seriously if you can’t afford an employee, be humble and do the work yourself, all this bragging online like you’re God over some miserable HR role is so annoying

So because she is working for someone she shdnt develop her self ?
When she gets sick she should hide it?
And she never came off as a lazy individual by the the way!
Go out there and withness firsthand how inhuman these so called employers are!
