DeleteDon't no the k8nd of doctor that did something like that without her consent oh. When i went.to meet my gyny to the up my womb,he told me he can't do it without my husband consent because i was married and don't want to get into trouble. So after lecturing me he sent me to the family and health clinic where i was told about the various family planning and then i settled for the IUD it's been 5yrs now still have 3more yrs to go before i change it.

None whatsoever had it now foe 5yrs. You just have to be neat that's all to avoid infections
DeleteI have had mine for 3years now. Recently I started suffering from anemia. I usually have heavy flow since my insertion of the IUD. Doctors said IUD doesn't cause heavy bleeding is it true? But I was having normal flow before inserting the IUD. I need help oh! Because I am planning to go and remove it before person enter wahala in the name of contraceptive.

Let her look for a lawyer,and sue the husband,the doctor,the hospital, the nurses, and everybody involved for a very huge compensation (hundreds of millions). So that while she is crying for her lost womb,she would be crying in comfort. If this story is true, then "some" men are scum!

This is all shades of wrong. He should have educated his wife on the use of contraceptives or he should have started using condoms.

Except under Doctor’s directives and health concerns, and especially if the woman is under 40, she needs her womb. Well, Na automatic menopause now. I hope the Doctor left her ovaries intact.
Lastly, some women too de born. I know kids are gifts from Heaven but five in this Buhari times plenty sha. Dude took the bull by the horn.
I thought about how they managed to do the operation without her knowledge and I thought, maybe it was done after her fifth birth. That means, the doctor and the husband must have agreed on it before she delivered her fifth born and they did it during that time.

As for the said husband, he should dance to the beat of the music he has chosen. He will definitely go to jail for destroying his wife's womb (that's if his wife decided to sue him). He doesn't have any right to ask the doctor to remove the woman's womb.
Since they both agreed on having three kids before and the wife seems to want more kids, he should have asked the doctor instead for drugs prescription that he can take to avoid getting his wife pregnant.
This is a very sensitive matter.
As for her getting her womb back, I will leave that to the doctors in the house that are familiar and learned with such issues to give their opinion on it

The woman won't think of suing him even if it is just to shakara him . The doctor is the meal ticket here. To think that this surgery is irreversible.
ReplyDeleteI had my womb removed during a fibroid surgery but it was my decision as I did not want any more children and complications of the fibroid growths were begining to occur. It was so wrong of the husband to do what He did. But some men are like that. I doubt if she would sue her husband and if she decides to sue the doctor, the husband will be joined in the lawsuit. Except she wants to end the marriage.

If the wife was unconscious at the time the decision was taken: say during surgery and she had an atomic uterus unresponsive to all the measures, the next of kin or any one with power of attorney can consent to that or the doctor can do it in the patients best interest... so pls quit blaming the man till you hear the full story

ReplyDeleteMy friend is suffering from fibroid that keeps growing after several operation. She had her last child thru CS and while the operation was going on, the husband was asked to sign and give consent that d womb be removed as that is the only way she can be free from fibroid, but hubby refused, he said he can't without d wife's consent.
ReplyDeleteThe husband should be held responsible for asking the doctor to remove the wife's womb. I doubt if the doc will pay for any damage cos the husband gave the consent
