I don't know about those in Nigerian and other parts of the World but the Sun in this part is not smiling at all....We were almost roasted yesterday and today wont be any different!...Even fan was blowing out heat,I had to buy some expensive mobile air conditioner,the type you put out the pipe and just plug and the air cools immediately..........This was the same air conditioner i was advising people not to buy last year that it was a waste of money oh....
Sometimes we do not practise what we preach because of events and circumstances...I just learnt that!
I honestly cannot wait for Winter this year to come and cool this terrible heat!..Those BVs in Australia enjoying cold now una weh done oh.

So yesterday, I was faced with my phobia. Was so bad that I almost removed my shoe (flat shoe oh not even heels). Then God sent a young gentle man to hold my hand through it. Mehn, wasnt easy oh. ReplyDeleteYesterday my neighbor gave me two tubers of new yam. I don't eat new yam so I thanked her profoundly but rejected the gift. I gave her my reasons and since I had no family or friends around to pass it on to, I just had to reject it. She said it was ok. I felt bad cos I saw the disappointment on her face but what was I to do? I don't eat it.
During festive season, some brought food, I took it and thanked them but I knew deep down I wouldn't eat it. I trashed all the food and felt so guilty about it I had to call my mom and tell her. She said I should decline rather than throwing away someone's gift. But if you live in the North / Middle Belt, you'll understand that you don't reject a gift. You see, I grew up in a mind-your-business environment and was not used to receiving food from strangers until I started living here. It's a different story here. People cook food, knock on your door and give you. At the last month of my pregnancy, I was outside taking fresh air, she offered me freshly prepared two and karikashi, pregnancy hormone made me eat it. This is something I don't eat. So till date, this woman still gives me tuwo and soup from time to time. I eat the Tuwo and dispose the soup. I'm blown away by their kindness, I do, they're loving people. But I'm tired of trashing food I won't eat so what do I do? And yesterday I rejected, I still feel bad. I just tire.

Something happened 2 nights ago. At about 12:20am, I was watching tv then suddenly my tv tripped off bulbs went off, fan stopped working .
DeleteI decided to peep thru my peep hole on my door to see if my security lights had tripped off too, only for me to see an image of a man standing right in front of my door my goodness I was scared and screamed for help. My landlord's nephew and daughter came out and I narrated all that happened then the lights, tv and came back on, strange right!
I noticed my landlord didn't come out despite the noise I made, so i started suspecting him from that day. He told me the following day that he didn't come out cos he didn't hear me scream(yimu) and to think my room is close to his. Prior to this incident, I've been having strange dreams, falling ill and all sorts of negative things occurring since I moved in in April. This is someone who doesnt miss church on Sundays and always advises me to be closer to God. He's very stingy to people close to him (friends and family) but extremely generousl to outsiders (the church, widows etc) I've been avoiding him lately and doing midnight prayers. DeleteWhy not go to CAC at Otunba Jobi Fele around Alausa? Made inquiries from there and it was roughly 11k for Business Name registration. Someone wanted to do it for me but was charging 30k, so I had to go there myself to find out. If you have to do it through anyone, it shouldn't be so far from the amount mentioned.

ReplyDeleteThe lady worked for a month and deserves to be paid. No matter how you part ways with your employees, never owe them for one day. Prorate their monies and pay accordingly tp the last kobo.
For Waje to be changing PAs in the past 4months, its either shes getting people that are not ready to work or she might just be the problem.
But I will love to clarify somethings.
Within one month of your employ especially for a one man business, you might not be entitled to Medicare,leave or study leave. These things MIGHT be informal and at the premise of the owner of the business or the person you are rendering your services to unfortunately. The person could pay for your drugs,,,, or let you write exams especially if you didn't sign for, or demand for any of these when you were getting employed.
Secondly, Chiki... You mentioned that companies let people write exams without any fuss. This happens when you are using that additional qualification to advance their establisment and might get a school fees refund. So lets say the young lady was writing ICAN or ACCA, she will searxh for a better job definitely? Lol, she will leave after some hours were invested in her by her employer.
Lastly, PA jobs are tasking and employers should state their expectations in writing so the employee will know what he or she is up against. Don’t send them on errands meant for your housekeeper and think they don’t deserve a raise or the right to refuse especially if you didn't include those from the onset.
Dear Employees, Don’t accept a job desperately after the employer must have told you what it entails and then cry wolf later. Know exactly what you can give and state it from day one.
@iphie your points are valid. I just wanted to state that its not unusual for an employee to take time out to write an exam, cos a comment on that post made it seem like it never happens. It does happen but with a mutually beneficial agreement. And if an employee states that during an interview, that they are writing so soon they can be allowed to, without pay for those days.

Posh Hajia... You failed to "sun" your mosquito net before first use. Take it out under a shade by 7am in the morning and remove it at 6pm, that's the procedure you skipped. Do not put under sun but under a shade. Mosquito treated Nets contain Ethyl Acetate that trigger the itchy nose, eyes, nauseous feeling and vomiting if not used properly. E pele.
