The retired judge, who is also the Lead Advocate, Virtues Unlimited Restorative Justice Initiative, urged Nigerians to come to the aid of the wheelchair-bound musician by assisting him to build a better structure than the one pulled down by the Oyo State Government.
The statement read, “Gentlemen and ladies, it has come to my attention that the building housing Fresh FM, the business of our music maestro, Yinka Ayefele, has just been demolished.
“May I respectfully request that we all come to his aide by providing the wherewithal to put up a new structure of his desire as a legacy to Nigerians’ right to freedom of expression. Nothing is too little, lets jointly ensure that the glory of the latter house is greater than that which was demolished.
From punch .
*A House that was allegedly 800million or more is what he/she is raising funds for?And please they should stop referring to him as Wheelchair bound, this man is not a handicap,he has done more than most men who can move around can do.....Please pardon me I am so upset about the whole thing!
Really sad.. He should be compensated.
ReplyDeleteIt's a very sad thing but they should leave "us" Nigerians out of this.. They should meet the government to build it back..
ReplyDeleteGod will raise helpers for him
ReplyDeleteSo angry about all this rubbish
ReplyDeleteAjimobi will pay back
God will raise more helpers for him in Jesus name
You angry with him for doing the right thing?I'm sure u don't live in Ibadan, if you do you will be angry at people like Ayefele for encroaching on the highway
DeletePlease why was it demolished? I really want to know.
ReplyDeleteThat wheelchair bound man in another country can decide to be on disability in another country and the government will even be the one responsible for him.
ReplyDeleteHere is someone that didn't wallow in self pity and depression after his accident, he made something of himself and is employing hundred of youths.
Let PDP or people in govt assist him, too many Nigerians gats their own issues afterall they carter away funds meant for the development of the country abroad and build their own economy there.
Wait! That building was worth 800m? That very building???
ReplyDeleteI guess it isnt just the building. The equipment damaged were extremely expensive as well.
DeleteAPC GOVERNMENT...THIS ZOO COUNTRY SHOULD DO AND GIVE US BIAFRA BIKO
ReplyDeleteI am more upset than you Stella. A man that has been doing so well for himself without the help on the evil people that destroyed what he has built over the years is now being used for political publicity. He should stop associating Mr Yinka with the chair tingy please. He survived that bad accident, I believe by God's grace, he will bounce back.
ReplyDeleteThey should go back to court.
ReplyDeleteCall for a fund raiser for someone with an ailment for surgery for five million where five thousand people can transfer a thousand each or ten thousand people five hundred naira each and it will take forever to raise. Meanwhile the gist is that house along that same road have been demolished and they kept dancing around his when they were pals. Yeah go to court I'm sure if the demolition wasn't lawful he would be compensated and I equally know people will rally round without this announcement or call even very poor people will reach out. Outside this though the rich keep getting enriched. My lesser boss brought a bag and half rice for the bigger oga who doesn't need it meanwhile there are cleaners and security men who clearly need it and will pray for his whole generation if he had given them to share. Life!!!
ReplyDeleteYour last sentence gotbme teary
DeleteIt is well
no. we are not donating money for anything . he should sue oyo state government. that's the right thing to do.
ReplyDeleteOya, the good people of Oyo should help me naa. I don’t really know the reason why that house was demolished but seeing it by the roadside, I suspect it might have something to do with the town planning rule. Whatever it is they should help their own sha.
ReplyDeletePls this outcry about the demolition of ayefele's studio is beginning to annoy me, was he not informed before the demolition? His studio was on the road, others had been demolised why should his own be special? If he has a c of o he will be compensated...pls we should not condone the wrong thing because it involves a physically challenged person.
ReplyDeleteis the government blind before they allocated the place for him to build? They issue C/O for him, by the way this case is been court can't your damager government respect rule of law infact he is a lawless man very heartless, look at the way a whole Ibadan dirty it doesn't irritate him. Ibadan people should wake up vote them out of office.he have sacked people who are working in that studio which work are you going to give them cos God who createed them will surely fight for them.
