PhotoTRICK -Hunger In Africa Using This Photo

Are there any kids like this anywhere in Africa ?WHERE?

Most international Charities Organisations use this photo to get monies off lots of people and its wrong....This is an old photo and i dont know where it came from

This is the biggest scam going on now............
What is your take on this?

Someone asked me the other day to allow him use my name for a charity fund and that there was lot of monies in it and i will get a cut...This is the same thing most celebs in Nigeria are doing, screaming charity and using the monies to shop.........If you are on this table,I am sorry but i did not mean to shake it!

    1. Stella I have a friend that just started running an ngo bcos someone advised her there’s lot of money in it. She doesn’t have a job so far but hoping this will be her means of survival 🙄🙄🙄☹️

    2. I have a friend who organizes a fiction for kids every year under her foundation, the kind of money she makes from that thing enh, she just came back from South Africa after chilling. She divides the funds into two, half for the kids and half for herself. There is money in this foundation business, that’s why everyone is doing it

  3. Please shake the table jare Stella.

This is so wrong. I'm sure the kids in this picture are grown yet scammers will keep using it. This doesn't mean that there are no kids that are in need out there but these scammers don't just have good intentions jare.

  4. We have criminals everywhere. That is why I don't give to charities. I know most of them have deviated from the purpose.

Stella you get bigger permission to shake this table well and call names

  5. Its a terrible thing now. Everybody be criminal, even churches find a way to collect from u all in a bid to serve humanity. I made up my mind this year, my tithes goes to my hungry aunts and uncles in the village, I cook and dash the regular poor ppl on the streets, I buy foodstuffs for real motherless homes. I help my neighbours with food, money and clothes. Let's all practicalize it. Then hunger and needs won't be so bad. Let's all start from our very homes. Stop giving to ppl that will use it selfishly. Ignore my typos,na as e dey hot.

    1. Quite thoughtful of you dear. But I think you can use other monies apart from your tithe for your Village peeps, the bible is very clear about where our tithes should go to.
(You mentioned tithe so I assumed you are a christian)

    3. Chukwuemeka read the Bible very well and understand how to spend your tithe. She is not wrong the way she has spent it. The Bible even says if it is strong drink your heart desires buy it.

    4. You too read the Bible. Your heart desires when you are distressed. Read the Bible well and let the truth set you free.

    5. So ya'll mean the bible did not say anything about bringing the tithes to the house of God so there can be food in his house? I'm confused fa

    6. Tithe is not money... buy food and send to church, rice and beans... meke e full everywhere

    7. Read Deuteronomy 14 vs 22-26.only give tithe to men of God who don't have any source of income, rather give to widows, orphan,

    9. chukwuemeka which other monies, you think things are so easy for people that have families. You will take care of your family, you will send to your parents, pay tithe etc and then give to village peeps.
Make she no buy common paent for herself ?
My own salary is not much, I was paying tithe dutifully and could not afford to send money to my mother. She was okay before doing very well, but since Buhari came in her business collapsed. Now I send that tithe to her and add a bit more and she uses it for foot stuff, while she uses her little earnings for light bill and small stuff.
I do not regret doing this. Anyone that comes under my comment telling me to do both please mind your business, it is my money. I cant afford but tithe and that, I am married with kids and support my husband and hardly have savings so keep your suggestions.

    10. 11:37 I only came under your comment to tell you to continue, inugo. Not that mama will be suffering in the village while your pastor is carrying potbelly like selfie stick about triumphantly.
Even God will ask you if you have sense.

    11. The truth is that churches hardly use the tithes for the "meat in the house". They only enjoy themselves, I was an avid tither, first fruit giver, sower etc until my eyes opened that even churches don't care for the ppl only their belly. Their is no pity in their dictionary. When I mean church, not the body of Christ but our denominations. Am sick and tired of sowing and giving churches expecting that I will soon blow while they use our money for their own investment. I now follow TBJoshua and give my neighbours and relations instead. The parable of the Good Samaritan should open ur eye, some of us will bypass an accident on the way to church just to pay tithe and not assist in the victims bills. Which God are we worshipping? My ppl, open ur eyes. Like Mother Theresa said, if u want to change the world,go home and love ur family.

    12. Most foundations I know only cater for their bellies, while not all wrong. Its learnt from the church, we learn to be selfish. Pls check ur neighborhood, check ur village, most wicked uncles and aunts are merely hungry. Feed them, also add salt to ur gifts, just in case, I know salt kills any attack against u. Am sure most of u see ur neighbor kids out of sch and hungry. Yet u give tithes to churches that will build schs ur kids can't attend. While not vilifying our church but u should open ur eyes to ppl dying around u. Give to ppl near u first.

    13. Even the Israelites that taught us tithes and giving don't do like us. My church makes sure every month, something tangible will leave our pockets in the name of seed. So ur mom, dad, aunts, uncles neighbors etc aren't seeds?? The Bible says, He who gives to the poor, lends to God. My ppl, be wise.

    14. I'm happy to see that Nigerians are now getting it. These pastors now have lands, houses, businesses you name it. Then the priest of levies didn't have a pin to their names. Yes when you give to orphans, widows, one tenth of your earning, the Bible recognize it as tithe

  8. Even foreign charities use these pictures all the time to solicit for donations on television. What I don't get is if this is still happening and if it's as bad as this, why is African government silent? Why is the government not coming out to refute claims with evidences?
I know there is hardship but I don't know if it's as bad as this.
My elder sister called me the other to see if I can get donors for their charities. I ask her what they do, she couldn't even defend it, I washed her ears and woke up her conscience. Apparently, all these big madams and celebrities are even using them so they don't even know where the money go.
After a while, they will go to an hospital with soap and Vaseline to share to patients and take pictures or go to orphanages with a bag of indomie to share. Scammers everywhere. Let's loud it.

  9. We know many of them, and they are being celebrated daily. They shout the name of God mostly with their mouths and not their hearts.

Shake the table Stella and let BVs break it.

That picture is a very old picture from Sudan or so... That picture up there, is actually more than fifteen years old.

  10. There are children like that in East Africa at least. Especially Somalia, Ethiopia, Yemen, Djibouti.

Heavily malnutritioned kids. Nowadays people don't take such pictures as much as they used to before. But such kids exist.

  11. I was bashed here on this blog by some peeps when I wrote that NGO is the new scam. Most of them are using it for personal gains.
One guy started an NGO to take care of vulnerable kids, he got donations from international community. He told that he wanted to build a place where these kids would live. He built the house quite alright but he converted it to his personal house after a month.

    1. Anno i agree with you. You see d issue of NGO in Nigeria is vry deep. As far as m concerned, they are part of the reason why the fight against BH is not ending. Right now in Maiduguri NGO is the new money making venture in town, and millions of dollars are pumped to them, so they’d do anything for the fight to continue so that they kp getting the donations. And i wonder why the govt. is not doing anything about them.

    2. @10:19 this is deep, you've really opened my eyes.

    3. @ anon 10:19, you are very correct. Borno state has one of the highest number of NGOs. People are making millions from it.

    4. Let me go anon on this. My husband is a lawyer and recently registered 3NGOs for some of his client. Now he informed me that NGOs and churches are under charities and do not pay tax irrespective of how much they earn/make. One of his clients is based in London, she has accumulated inshore I can't mention it from people and organisations because she informed them she is supporting the girl child in IDP camps across the north. A sanitary company in the UK has informed her they will donate sanitary pads for the next one year, she used her connection to get bulk of out of season clothes for girls age 7-15years and oh the money she has gotten is huge, so huge my husband refused to disclose. I know she intends distributing the items, but my hubby said she's def keeping alot of money for herself

  12. I see it all the time on t.v and it pisses me off. They use a very sorrowful tune in the advert and be like "50 cents a day can save a child in Africa." First of all the kids don't look African, yes they're dark skin, but their features are like those of South Americans, their hair looks curly and blonde. There was a time I had some issues with my co-worker and she said she "won't donate 50 cents a day to my cousins in Africa anymore." Just imagine 🤣

    2. They are definitely Africans. Protein-Energy malnutrition sure makes the hair look that way. When you see a child suffering from marasmus you'll understand.

  13. I think we should follow the instructions on what the Bible said about tithe. The Malachi pastors quote is not the beginning of Tithing. Deuteronomy 26 told us in plain language who we should pay our tithes to.. ever since I discovered it years ago, I know better.
