Our investigation revealed BEN Television’s Founder who when contacted was out of office and the office confirmed it is just coincidental and that NTA has always been on BEN TV.
The NTA channel is free to air on channel number 781 on BSKYB. Running and operating a channel in the UK will set back the network about $1 million per year and more when they begin to produce specialist programmes.

NTAI focuses on delivering factual programmes, series of entertainment and diverse Africa’s programmes to millions across Africa on DSTV and partners BEN Television into Europe.
According to some reports, BEN Television is changing its management with new executives on board who may be looking into new strategies of building on the global branding of BEN TV.
Although there are no confirmation at this moment in time, it is likely that both channels may build stronger relationship to maintain premier position among all other African Channels in the UK as well as being distributed via DTH avenues.
Nigeria Television Authority has more than 100 channels across Nigeria that together reach 90 per cent of the population of about 100 million viewers every week. In addition, NTA with Startime network also manages the Startime-NTA national Premium pay-TV platform.
The Authority’s programming ensures that they reinforce the Diaspora by promoting Nigeria and African Culture, while countering the negative perception.
