Nigerian Woman Receives Suspended Sentence After She Was Arrested For Working With Fake Paper

Nigerian woman Fatou Johnson, 37, of Nutfield Gardens in Ilford, east London, worked in care homes and a school in Gloucestershire before her it was detected that she was working with falsified papers...

She pleaded guilty to two charges of possession of false documents and received a six month suspended sentence at Gloucester Crown Court on Tuesday.

She used a fake French passport and a National Insurance card to obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate in order to be eligible for work.

She arrived in the UK in October 2011 and remained as an “overstayer” after her visa expired a year later.

Shortly after arriving in the UK Johnson was coerced into prostitution but later “found her vocation” in care work, the court was told.

Johnson was arrested on 30th December at Cambian Southwick Park School in Tewkesbury after the DBS checked her documents and concluded they were counterfeit.

It emerged she had previously worked with vulnerable adults at several care homes around Gloucestershire before starting at the school.

Judge Michael Cullum told her it was “exceptionally serious” to use counterfeit documents to deceive the DBS, “whose job is to safeguard the vulnerable”.

But after being told that despite working illegally Johnson had an ‘exemplary work record’ with ‘exceptionally positive references’ he allowed her to walk free.

    1. If you are smart you will know that the reason she went to court was because of fake papers to work. Immigration is next. So you actually think she's free to stay back with fake documents? Most of you are not smart smh

    2. Anon 12:03, calm your titties! Just because that anon didn’t have the full info doesn’t mean he or she isn’t smart. Besides, the post said she “walked free” which can lead people to think she was freed in the UK.
