Yinka Ayefele, who alleged that one Toyin Arulogun suggested the demolition, told fans of his radio station to desist from damaging public property out of anger.
This came following reports of widespread condemnation that trailed the demolition by Nigerians across all social spectrum.
The statement reads: “I greet the entire Fresh Fm fans both home and abroad.I wish to extend my heartfelt gratitude for this opportunity and experience.
“As we all know, Fresh Fm is not an Ayefele owned company but a company owned by the general public. I’ll like to plead with everyone not to cause any casualty especially on the Ajumose bus packed around Music House.
“Please, do not destroy any government property. This happened for a reason. Lets leave everything in God’s care. And I’ll like to thank the government of Oyo state for what they have done. Where they began and where they are at the moment.
“Special thanks to TOYIN ARULOGUN for he was the one who suggested the demolition. And also the Nigeria Broadcasting corporation for their support.
“Finally, our program continues as usual and I’ll use this medium to beg the entire crew especially Alhaji Abolade Salami, Soul, Olalomi Amole, Yeye Agbedegbeyo, Babatunmise to stop the cry and mourning.
“Thank you once again. I remain Olayinka Joel Ayefele.”
*This story really really upsets me....For someone or group of people to think they can break down someone like this?Cant deal abeg...ah ah
Very annoying
ReplyDeleteMay they meet their Waterloo
A thurderous amen to that!
DeleteStella I feel your pain but then let us put sentiment apart. He has been given notice for years knowing fully well he contravene the rules. This can’t happen in Germany. Other buildings were equally affected in the past in that same area while they exclude his building .when he was eating and dining with them and watched other buildings demolished what did he do? It may have been politically motivated but he sure violated the rules since alao Akala days
ReplyDeleteBut they said the court ordered the government to stand down
DeleteA particular person might suggest for the building to be demolished what about the Dummy Governor? He has authority over his State and shame on him to allowing that demolition execution to take place BTW, what do you expected from a man that DIDNT give his children any home/financial aid training? NADA
ReplyDeleteWell now the masses cursing know to direct it to Toyin Arulogun. I hope it all works out for Mr Yinka in the end
ReplyDeleteWicked people everywhere...
ReplyDeleteJuju musician????
ReplyDeleteThere should be some form of compensation, Abi?
ReplyDeleteMeaning Toyin Arulogun has authority more than the governor?
ReplyDeleteI wonder o!!!!
DeleteThat is the world we live in. The wickedness is times 1 million
ReplyDeleteKai
ReplyDeleteJust look at wickedness
I am so pained by this senseless act. I felt like a loved one died on Sunday when I got the news. The govt has not created employment in the last 10years in Ibadan. Why destroy an organization that employs over a 100 citizens. Lets say the building has some violations, the reasonable thing for both parties would be to reach a consensus on how to rectify the violations. I laugh when pple say if this was Canada the building will be demolished. Companies go for decisions that make business sense. If found in violation they suffer the consequence, which is usually a fine. But never demolition of something that adds value to a city or the country. If the building was falling apart and they refuse to fix it, then maybe this might be justified. But how many buildings are falling apart in Bere, Mapo and Oje in Ibadan, what has the government done? I pray Ayefele laughs soon in a bigger way. My love to the Fresh FM family, it is a great radio station. A listen will convince you!
ReplyDeleteMy hubby is a fresh FM addict he listens to it religiously...very disheartening!!!+
