Una Good Morning...!

Hope say una sleep well *Nigerian question*

I read something yesterday and i weak for some people....you don't get it do you?It doesn't matter whether you paid Bride price or not,if she says NO,leave her alone..NO should be NO!!

My friend and I had a conversation the other day and she said when her daughter is about to Marry she would not collect Bride price and shocked I asked why and she explained that, paying so little and expecting so much is wrong, that without bride price one can always take a walk..She says the traditional wedding will hold but no money should be paid....Now i am beginning to Understand her....

Men pay money and expect so much,it is wrong!....It doesn't matter how much you paid, she is not your property!!!....*Tongue click*

As for IHN materials,if you send me one million photos without thinking that you need to assemble the photos in a collage then you send in vain cos i am tired of giving instructions on how to make this easy...

And please those of you sending in Dogs for sale,I am totally put off by that,on this Blog we dont sell dogs, rats, cats or snakes...but we sell fishes!..Thank you!

Talking about fishes, someone asked me to stop posting dried catfish for sales cos SHE IS RELATED TO THAT SPECIE OF FISH...cousins!
It sounded like a Joke but i have heard that severally before to know that it is not, some Ladies do not eat fishes cos they say they are relations with the fishes....lol

Shout out to all the cousins of cat fish oh!!!

Kisses to everyone!

  1. Last day of the month and of the second quarter. In this third quarter of the year, may our dreams come through and fulfilled. We shall not build and another inhabit, neither shall we plant and another eat. Wheresoever the sole of our feet shall thread upon we will possessed as an inheritance. May  God's grace keep us alive to see the end of this year Amen.

    4. Mr. Teejay take note.
      FOUR QUARTERS
A quarter refers to one-fourth of a year and is typically expressed as "Q." The standard four quarters that make up the year are: January, February and March (Q1); April, May and June (Q2); July, August and September (Q3); and October,November and December (Q4).

  3. How can someone be educated yet risk your life all in the name of giving birth 'naturally'.... I don't even know if this is stupidity or faith! !!A pregnancy that has been giving you issues from day 1, you decided to birth 'naturally', now you're dead at just 27, leaving your husband with a baby, a new born baby , making your parent a child-less cos of what I don't know !!! After all the wahala your husband went through for this pregnancy, your child is motherless and your husband a widower at just 30 years..... It's well ooooh, it's well!!! Rest In Peace

    6. My sister died same way and I'm still blaming myself. We see these signs right from early pregnancy but some Nigerian women want to be like the Jewish women. Sometimes we need to help ourselves before God can help us. He has given us the wisdom to discern.
Nothing is as painful as a woman dying after given birth, next to fire I mean. If a woman starts getting sick during pregnancy, decisions should be taken before she give birth. I hear women complaining that if you don't push then you can not claim to be a real woman but that's total ignorance. There is a thin line between life and death during labour.
If we are changing things about ourselves we should think of our health during child birth as well.
A lot of women who shouldn't die have gone that way.
Few months ago, a friend's wife was in labour, the husband was away, the hospital need to do a C-S, so they needed the consent form signed. The husband called the father in law and begged him to sign on his behalf, the father in law refused and in the end, the lady died even with the baby. This could have been avoided.
Please women, let's not give opportunity to the devil.
RIPP to the dead and may God give you all the strength to carry on.

    1. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂....

I was my cousin's CBM, since the wedding is close, I don't think there's much to do again.....

Do you have a list of what should have been done?? Like caterers, decorators, cake, venue, clothes, drinks, invited guests?? Call her everyday and y'all should go over the list again, tick all that has been concluded, remind her of the ones yet to be done, check on the other bridesmaid to be sure they have gone for final fitting for their dresses and there's no issue..... Is there going to be a bridal shower for her?? If yes ,check to know if all is ready!!! And then check for her makeup artist to reconfirm her service, etc... Check to see if her wedding attire is in order.... Always ask her if there anything she needs, make sure she doesn't have to stress about anything especially if you can help it !!

On the wedding day, it'd not compulsory you hold her dress, depending on the dress she wears sha, you have to be with her phone from morning, taking her calls and all.... During her dress up, make sure ALL her things are in place, help her pack her box as she dresses so that she won't leave anything behind esp if y'all are in a hotel..... Make sure she EATS,very important, she might refuse out of excitement but please insist!!

Just generally be around her and be very observant!!!!

      Delete
    2. U are her right hand man, help with basically evrything she needs. Be at her beck and call. You dont need to carry her dress, I dont think pple do that again. Have an hankerchief, sanitary towel n probably a safety pin closeby. Oversee to her food, makes sure she gets to eat no matter how lil cos anxiety fit no let her chop. Also assign those who wld help pick her money when shes dancing...I.e if she hasnt assigned people for that. Basically no fast rule about being a CBM .

      Delete
    3. My dear if she tell you what to do that day do it. If she is sweating, give her handkerchief or use handfan on her.

Just be alert on what she tells you what she wants

    5. Awwww. My bestie was my CBM and the I nearly cried with gratitude during and after the wedding. As in, she just bore all my stress for me. Here are some of the things she did, perhaps, they will help guide you.
      1. She went with me to my tailor's a on my Trad, made sure the clothes FIT. Like she made sure all the stitches were in place. She was my voltron that day
      2. She was beside me during the trad even helped me point to where my hubby was hiding whike i was searching for him to give him palm wine. She brought nylon for me to kneel on and made sure my wrapper didnt get dirty
      3. she went with me to church after the trad for our final reharsal ecos our wedding was the next day. She was still manging the hotel rooms we booked for our guests, ensured the briedesmaids got the best rooms. the groomsmen were OYO.lol
      4. On the wedding day. Chai. My baby packed and rolled my hair,( just did up gel with my weave) she did my high bun perfectly. Scrutinized my make up very well to be sure I blended it perfectly. She made sure I was on point before she even started dressing up.
      5. She made sure I didn't lose a pin! All my eye shadows, brushes, hairpins, everything was complete, even though babes thronged into my room to use my make up box. She ensured that everyone returned everything after use.
      6. She carried slippers that changed into after church, arranged me very well for pictures
      7. She finished work during reception. Made sure the special guests I told her about got souvenirs. made sure my in laws and family were well fed. Made sure the wedding gifts got back to the hotel even before us. She was my shock absorb er that day. She was so good that my in laws noticed. One was trying to hook her up with his single friend but e no come work out.
After the wedding, both of us cried o. Like my bestie is good naturally but that day, she went over and beyond for me.
T.baby may God give your perfect man soonest in Jesus Name. Amen.
Anyway, long story short. That day its all about the bride not you.
See ehn, make sure she slays o. Let her dress up first before you do. ensure her phones are safe, carry a small waist bag or sling bag for phones and money.
carry slippers o, so that heels wont stop you from working.
Chief brides maid not not about wiping sweat for the bride again o. Lol
Ask her the people she wants to be fed specially, ensure her husbands people get wonderful attention from the caterers.
One of my girlfriends stopped speaking with her chief bridesmaid after the wedding cos she CBM ignored her and was taking selfies through out out the service. Them come kuku theif CBM's phone in the church and she melted into panic mode.
She locked herself in the hotel and cried all through reception. lol.
My friend had to use another person as stand in that day.
Just be her eyes, ears, mouth and hands that day and she would always thank you.

      Delete
    6. Cookie you're a veteran! 😀
...but in addition to the handkerchief, take a pack of oil blotter for her makeup for dab her face for her. Be on the alert on that day, get a pair of slippers to wear to make your waka waka easier for you.
Position yourself beside her during the collection of gifts, you and the best man receives it; no allow her accept anyone directly...some guests are there with evil intentions.
Be sharp during the spraying of money if you're entrusted with the duty. But if not, stay away and allow whoever that is in charge do it all to avoid any unnecessary questions and concerns later.
During the taking of photographs, remind her to smile; believe me she fit forget.
Let me also say that your friend is lucky to have you. Most girls don't send and careless except to slay and scout for guys that day forgetting that they have an important role to play.

  9. Stella I disagree with you totally on that statement that 'No is No when in marriage'.

1 Corinthians 7:4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.

Proverb 5:19 As a loving deer and a graceful doe, let her breasts satisfy you at all times; and always be enraptured with her love.

Please don't go into marriage if you are not ready, let's be wary of what we read or see on social media. I can only try to negotiate with my wife and make her see reasons if I'm tired or not in the mood, but if she insist, I'll still perform to the best of my ability.

In as much as I frown and condemn spouse denying their other halves their conjugal love, we should also understand that everyone has a right on their own. It is marriage and never a bondage.

Teejay, God knows the importance of sex in marriage and doesn't joke with it, even the Bible admonishes that a couple if at all they want to stay off sex during fasting should have unanimous decision regarding that.

1Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Sex is very important and a MUST in marriage. Absent of it will surely bring problems...don't be deceived!

    6. Anonymous maybe you didn't read my comment well. I commended what sky said and equally said as well that I condemn couples starving each other with sex, or didn't you read that lines? My last point was that couples should also understand when to respect each other wish when it is necessary. Just like sky said, it could be on health ground or even religious purpose. Even sometimes it could be tiredness. And when it is on such cases, the other party should see reason with the other. There are men if you leave them will go everyday in a month for a sex. Sometimes the women too are exhausted. No one will support what that lady did to her husband, not even the devil himself.

The groom will be asked to bring some money and what will be taken out of it will not be up to #20 (which symbolises acceptance of the grooms family) & the father of the bride will tell him and his family that they don't sell their daughters...just take care of her.

    11. Hey larry, on my wedding day, the money wasn't returned at all, my parents collected it and told them that their child is not for sale and the token in the envelope is just to appreciate them for accepting to be our in-law.

Besides human being can not be bought. As stated in the bible that Bride price is just a show of love not bought. #i can not remember the bible passage used to buttress the point
see all this back and front bride price thing is a thing of the mind ooo, its watever you believe, do so and practice it for your sef.

How much is teh money sef, 10k or so.

My parens gave me the money afterwards but i return it back to the them to buy something significant in the house or to do charity.

Yes we are yoruba and that's wat was done for my aunties(my mum siblings that has been staying with us from teenage) but they didn't return their own to anybody but used it to buy something for themsef.

Brie price collecting is in the bible moreso it is culturally and traditionally what makes us, dont be deceived y what pple are saying, what about the yam and other things that was brought, why didnt they return all those things.

Rubbish talks to sway pple away from reality.

ME I CANNOT BE BOUGHT WITH MONEY OR FOOD.

  16. Stella, bride price or not some men will still do what they want, its an African man's mentality.... As for that yesterday poster you shouldn't be shook by peoples comment, they really were not castigating her for saying NO, but for saying NO for two long weeks without any remorse, personally I think she is the childish type, and marriage is not for children.
    Good morninh bvs.
    Morning stella.

    1. Exactly, she was wrong for witholding sex as punishment.
Its just like a man refusing to bring money for feeding for two week, even after the wife begs him. Then the wife threatens to steal his money.
If the man was unfaithful, then maybe her punishment makes sense but if it was normal couple squabble, then she is wrong.
Marraige is not for children at all.

  21. Good morning everyone,plS I want to know if it is possible to get pregnant after my uterine fibroid operation. I am the only daughter of my parents and I would love to have kids of my own.. I am 30yrs old and the pain is out of this world, plus the bleeding last for close to 15days

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. OMG that is too much bleeding. Please go and do the fibroid operation and you will be fine. Take away fear from your heart. It is fears that kills.

You will get pregnant after the operation. It does not stop any woman from it except your husband has a fault.

I wish you life and good health after the operation. Don't stay too long thinking if you want to do it.

Let it be done in a good hospital. Wishing you God's recovery Amen

      Delete
    2. Yes, you would still be able to get pregnant.

Please see a very good gynaecologist, you have enough symptoms, a myomectomy would be done, with your uterus left intact.

      Delete
    3. Are you married?

It's advisable to remove it when you're married so you can get pregnant very fast because it grows back.

      Delete
    4. yes it's possible. goo luck

      Delete
    5. Please go to general hospital and remove it. That 15 days bleeding is way too much for you. Always take blood tonics to avoid dizziness.
You will be fine but after the surgery avoid some foods. You will conceive and nurture your children.

    6. Paying bride price doesn't mean you own that person please, that's why it's as little as one naira. My bride price is 600 Naira. all the other things that follow are the ones you can or can not do. So you think avoiding bride price means your husband is not the head. Wont you do other rites like traditional marriage r court ot church wedding, as far as you are married, the man will always have that mentality he's the head. So please leave bride price alone. People will always try hard to abolish harmless tradition but try hard to keep western tradition.

    7. Please also be taking iron tablets. Most importantly, see a gynaecologist.

  23. Stella, NO is not NO in marriage. A spouse has no right to deny the other sex. If there's any reason why you don't want sex, your spouse is suppose to be in the know and agree to it.

Couples need to attend marriage counselling. Very important.

Madam that denied her hubby sex for 2weeks, I laughed reading your comment. So you can deny your hubby and he has no right to force you ABI?

I'm not married but I know that every marriage comes with it's own package..... FIND OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, it's very easy to advice when you've not been on that situation! Marriage is not child's play Ohhhhhhh.....

    2. Thank you Swag, how were you able to even say NO for good 2weeks with you seeing your hubby everyday and you are okay.
the poster should ask for forgiveness of sin o bcs thats malice in the highest form.

Hubby doesnt with in the same state with me, but the weekend hes aroung , i dare not say No to him, i even pray my period comes during the week than the weekend that i know he will be around.

Later they will say cheating or he raped me, Y wont he do anyone when hes sick and tired of malicious way of punishing him.

There are actually ladies like that.

I think the culture of paying bride price is being threatened. Some men can be archaic in their thinking. This is 2018 not 1818.

  30. In marriage, No is not No please whether he picked her on the street or in the palace. The scriptures @Sky quoted up there remains valid and if for any reason one of them do not feel like it at any point, he/she should let the other know about it and the partner should understand. In marriage, your body is no longer yours scripturally and not because of some bride price that was paid..that's where people get it wrong.

  31. A lot of children are being dedicated to marine spirit. Just few parents will tell their children the truth. And when you look at the statistic, some are successful in life while some are not.

If you see yourself swimming in your dream, or being visited by fishes my dear you are one of them.

Tell your parents to tell you who you are and where did they dedicate you to.

Some sees goats, dogs, snakes etc in their dreams. Just know you have been dedicated and only Jesus Christ shall set you free.

Try and ask questions from your parents to know where problems are coming from.

I don't know if she will enable this one, but if you go on Coursera, you will see a data science specialization course by John Hopkins University.

I recommend that one, but you could also check udemy, edx, lynda.com for other data analysis courses.

I do not know about digital marketing courses though.

      I hope this helps.
