    5. Yes. I did. I earn well over my husband. We have been married for 20yrs. I still seek his opinion and approval over what I want to buy. He is still my husband. We have joint account and separate accounts so as to surprise each other sometimes. It is all about God, maturity and what you believe in. We talked about our plans and investments. I gave a good intuition, if I tell him no about a particular investment, we will drop it doing otherwise always backfires. We quarrel oh! But When you rely on God. It is working for us but it might not work for our neighbour. Whatever makes you happy that is not sin!

    3. A man with his pride intact won't want you to be the one shouldering the responsibilities alone no matter how small he earns.

My friends know where I stand on this issue. I can marry a man I love even if he earns way less and respect him so far I have plenty. He too should also be seen as doing something.

  12. It depends on the man's self worth - Money at times brings the worst out of a man

  13. No.
If I must marry now, it should be to a very rich man. Richer than my clan. I gained nothing from love.

  14. Funny enough I earn more than my wife annually and their is no iota of respect from her, very uncouth woman.

I didn’t see all this trait while we were courting and I wish I did.

In other word being respected isn’t dependent on who earns more, it’s an inbuilt attribute.

    1. so sorry dear, I currently earn more than my husband n I must say I respect him so much. N want to do everything within my power to make him happy I'm 27 n he is 36. He loves me more than any man has Eva hence the respect. I gave him money to buy a land in his name alone. Do you show love to ur wife?

    2. You are very right with that,I wish I saw this too before I married this one in my house, come to think of it I had better suitors but was decieved.

    3. Anonymous 20:40 , Yes I do show her a great deal of love even when she is violent.

I guess what triggers her to do more of these is because she knows I love privacy and would never open our secret out there.

    4. Anon 22:28, some women are wired like that. Please never make her attitude change, keep on being the good man you are. Such people never appreciate what they have until they loose it. This is coming from a fellow man like you. Mine was also like that until we went our separate ways. She is going around peddling lies and fabricated stories now. The Lord is your strength bro.

  17. E go hard. Before you know, you'll unconsciously start bossing him around. It will take only a woman who truly loves God and hubby to respect him.

    ReplyDelete
  18. No way. My head dey skip,I may respect him initially o, but once in a while if my head skip,I go lose my respect for am...I don't like broke men at all, they are repulsive to me.

    1. That you earn more than him doesn't make him broke you know?

  19. Yes I can marry him as far as he respects himself by not having any side chick. But anyday I realize he has side chick, my love for him will diminish, my respect for him will also diminish.

  20. To my husband? Over and over again.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Yes if he ain't threatened by my success.

Wooooo but truth be told I love my man richer than me. The idea of him giving me his ATM card to go on a shopping spree make me wet. There is nothing compared to that feeling that ur man is financially capable of taking care of ur "every" need.

  22. #Over thinking is a special form of fear. This fear becomes worse when adding anticipation, memory, imagination, and emotion together*

  23. In my next life, No!!!!! Because when he eventually started earning much more than me I saw his ungratefulness, from putting me down to toasting anything in skirts. Shameless man
