    2. This just remind me of one oyinbo lady in my SCH of nursing days,we call her oyinbo bcos she's very Fair and clean head to toe without any spot...hmmm. My people this babe traveled one day and brought her old pictures, na there yawa kas.. Babe was as dark as charcoal. Aiyemioooo.. We asked her what's her secret and she kept quiet claiming she's has always bn Fair that those pics she brought didn't do justice to how Fair she was as a baby.. Trust babes and amebo now,her roomies started monitoring her to discover the secret behind that yellow pawpaw with no skin blemish.. My people naso we discover say the pears baby lotion she was using was mixed with fashion fair tube, tura tube, hot movate ,skin success etc..yepa. And she's bn forming I only used pears and black soap for us in the hostel then. Even her black saop am very sure she mixed it too. From that day I always yimu when I see a Fair Nigerian lady forming am naturally fair I don't use anything to enhance my colour,if hear. So Nina enjoy the fame your yellow pawpaw has brought for you. Am sure people for no send her if she left herself darkskin.

    3. Yep a!!! All those tubes and gels are steroid based. They will eventually destroy her skin and give her Cushing syndrome(google it). Na dem dey born and all their children will be dark. There is no way a naturally light skinned person will not have at least one light skinned child...if not all of them.

    5. So u are not aware that mums are now using bleaching cream for their babies from infancy. It's annoying how most Nigerian ladies want to fair skinned, as if being dark skinned is a disease. Some men are not left out in this too.

  5. Choi Stella even you?. She was never dark skinned, she has always been light, even her mom is light. Pls let's just be a bit diplomatic she might have touched up a bit plus that pic was taken years ago probably with a Symbian phone. Pls let's allow this young girl breathe

    1. Thanks, I have always being light skinned from birth till I started secondary school, it was far from the house so I and my friends do trek to and fro under hot sun.

During those six I turned from MonaLisa chinda colour to Beverly osu, didn't even know what sunscreen was at the time.

As if that wasnt enough i got admitted to a school in the north I started looking like lupita.

I graduated, served, got a good job and a car, my skin started to look like milk again, only for people who knew me back then in my hustling days to say "she has bleached". Like really?.

If A lightskin person becomes dark they say you bleached, without considering environmental factors. If you are dark again and you become light its bleaching again, its like someone can never win.

    2. God bless you anon12:28. I believe she wasn't taking care of herself at that time. Make una free am abeg!

    3. But why doesn't Albino's skin colour change, even after staying in the sun like forever,? A friend of mine is light, works almost everyday in the sun, and girl is still light. Most bleached folks are like pathological liars. At some point they start believing their bleached skin has always been fair. Honestly, bleaching is a choice though.

Anon 14:02. Albinos don't have melanin. So, can't darken or lighten.
Of course Nina ain't bleaching. She is probably brightening and toning. There's a difference. If there was none, let her use pears cream and soap let us see

      Delete
    5. @anon 14.02 as in.....I think the bleaching makes them lie, comes in the cream. The light skinned fulani girls in the north nko? I can understand getting fairer a Lil whenyyou're in the right environment not all this from normal yellow to oyinbo...haba, this people can lie

      Delete
    6. Anon 14:02, the fact that you could boldly compare an albino with a light skinned person to just buttress your point is unbelievable.

How many albino have you seen under the sun forever and didn't turn reddish Brown?.

Your friend works under the Sun, how many days?, months, years. Do you follow her to the house to know what she does at night and during the weekend to still be that fair that is if she really stays under the sun for as long as you claim.

Except she is not a naturally light skinned person or she is, but takes care of her skin when she gets home else by now she would have tanned.

My roommate is really fair like myself, she walks under the sun to class just like myself we are in the same department, but what she does at night Before she goes to bed and during the weekend to her skin my mouth can't say it and she also uses sunscreen.

I don't cream I have an extremely oily skin so I just bath and use powder that's all.
I put on my clothes and we are off to class but if you see me now, you will never believe we were of the same complexion.

If you are fair and you don't take care of your skin and you walk under the sun you will tan and you will turn dark especially if your fairness is the pale type.

You can't be fair for long, we still blacks no matter how fair we have melanin and we will tan.

      Delete
    7. My son is getting chemo, if you see how dark he is now, this is a boy that was so fair, I used to wish he was a bit darker. Now if you see all this oyinbo children here with their complexion not changing... and that’s cos they’ve got no melanin. I almost got jealous of their non-changing color before I reminded myself that melanin is a blessing and his color will return after treatment and recovery...

Still even for them, they’re paler during the winter and ‘redder ‘/tanner during the summer. So yes, walking/hustling in the sun affects the skin tone

  6. Stella na wa, she was a teen on the other picture and she wasn't dark, you could see it she has always been light skinned and she just took care of her skin. Nigerians and hypocrite

Even if you were born light skinned in Nigeria, you will still tan and become darker due to sun exposure.

  7. Nina is a naturally beautiful light skinned girl. She may have done one or two things to “maintain” her complexion but when you look at her palms, neck, knees and elbows you will know she was born fair.

I don’t judge people by their throw back pictures because camera lighting in those days made almost everyone a bit dark. Also teenagers are usually darker because they play under the sun and are not as beauty conscious as when they get older.

    1. Just like I used to think theatr Goldie was born fair....Nina has bleached, but it her choice.

    2. Whitening Injections and pills can give you a flawless knees, elbows, armpit and feet. An overall clean look. Then you also use cream to maintain from the outside while pills or injections does it work from the inside

So don't use that as a factor that she hasn't bleached because she is clean head to toe. I have nothing against her skin tone. I love it. If you want to clean up, do it right

    3. Don't mind them, they expect that if you are fair, you must remain like that and not flunctaute no matter what, even if the sun beat you, if not to most people, you bleached.

I have seen pictures of her entire family(throwback) during the bbn show and they were not so light skinned either. The recent ones are so filtered that you can’t tell anymore.

  27. Story!!

Speaking from personal experience....I was born light skinned - just like my mum and great grand mum. Some of my maternal uncles are light skinned with coloured pupils too, so its genetic. But during my primary and secondary school days I was darker, more like orange-ish. They used to yab me in biology class that i escaped albinism. Cos the hair on my skin is brown and i was orangey. My mum used to complain and complain but she didnt use anything to lighten me 'back to my original colour' cos she hates bleaching. But during holidays she keeps me away from sun and my skin tone gets revived, until school resumes and I resume play play under sun. She was told that my skin tone will return when i get older and start being more careful with my routine.

Truly, when i entered university and I started doing big babe, I would ensure I go out with very big umbrella. My friends didnt like it, who cared? I (obviously) stopped playing under the sun, cos i was no longer a little child and then in my 300L I started using sunscreen (i have been using sunscreen for about 10 years) and i fell in love with the effect. Back then it wasnt even as popular as it is now amongst Nigerians and my friends used to call me unfortunate oyibo for even thinking I needed it. As usual, i had done my research on the internet, about the long term benefits, so i didnt argue. I am used to starting and then they catch up. Lol.
So if i show you my high school graduation picture, you will say I bleached. But I have my baby/toddler picture to prove. Many times, lifestyle can affect under tone, including all these filters.

Of course a light skin people can become dark under the sun. That is why you see people in primary/ secondary school become lighter when they start earning money and taking care of themselves. Besides that is not the photo of a dark skinned person
