A photo of a 4-year-old Nigerian girl has hit it big on social media, racking up compliments such as “beautiful,” “absolutely stunning,” and “doll-like.”
On Friday, photographer Mofe Bamuyiwa Instagrammed a photo of the young girl named Jare, writing, “Oh yes she’s human! She’s also an angel!” The lifestyle-and-wedding photographer based in Lagos, Nigeria, explained that by positioning Jare in a more mature pose, she illustrated the intersection between child and adulthood.
Twenty-thousand people reacted on Instagram, writing that the photo was a “true work of art” and that Jare is the new barbie

Pretty girl.
ReplyDeleteBut why them carry forest sew for her head?
'Forest' made her popular.what are you good at?
DeleteIs that why they put make up on a child? I sooo hate it when a child wears make up! Urrgghh
DeleteChildren are beautiful the way they are, stop all these.
Black is beautiful
DeleteThat comment up there was not here when I first checked. Anyway me too don't like to see kids with make up on -it doesn't just feel right.
DeleteMy sister is even using her as her dp. She beautiful
ReplyDeleteIs that her eye color or filter? She's beaurifuu
DeleteFilter, d real pic she had normal brown abi dark pupils.
DeleteThe first picture I saw her eyes were normal black & white. This picture really trended last week, my bf sent it to me & was like this is how our baby girl will look I just smiled. Meanwhile she's finer than her other sisters, but nothing extra, it's all makeup, photo editing & hair. Good luck to her modelling career.
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThese are the kind of kids you see before visiting your man and while he is "cumming", you are not thinking of condoms or being on the pill or taking after-pills cos you are thinking you might have just made one that looks like her.
And then the next morning, you read Labour room posts on Stella's blog and you start calculating if the time of the last sex is past 72 hours or not...
True πππ
DeleteHahahhahahaha
DeleteBipolar Your comment is so hilarious
DeleteSo the girl is real... When i first saw it on facebook, i thought it was a drawing. She is absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWith lipstick, contact lens and that big hair/wig all on a 4yr old? Tell me something!
ReplyDeleteLolllllll@4 years you must have been as bald as Christmas chicken. Jare does nt wear contacts, the only thing put on her lips was ori and guess what-sorry to break you completely - it's ALL her hair. Lmaooooo. E kpele ma.
DeleteShe’s not wearing contact lens
DeleteMy dear I tire oh
DeleteShe's naturally beautiful, they shouldn't have added all those orisirisi on her
Exactly. Touched up the kid so much and put a wig on her. Give me a break
DeleteHer real eyes are dark.
DeleteAnon 18:02 why's my comment a pain in your neck asshole?
DeleteYou such a bore. Commenting and laughing @ your stupidity same time? Gosh! Miss me with your bullshit!
Bye#
It's all her hair? Stopeeeeet
DeleteWith that super visible lace front line? Stahpeeeet!
I mean, she's a beautiful kid but no need to mix Bobo drink for us here. Stop dat!
@ Anonymous 18:02 Don't say what you can't prove.
DeleteHer picture was edited, makeup applied on her face and a wig on her head. Check the photographers Instagram, the makeup artist, wig vendor & others were mentioned. Go to the wig vendor's page, you'll see the same picture with the wig.
How is that all her hair???
Moreover, the lace front is visible.
In other pictures with her siblings, Jare has brown eyes. How come it's now bluish ???
So, it's not only "Ori" that was put on her lips.
Let kids be kids the natural way!!!
That wig too bogus for a 4yr old
ReplyDeleteShe's cute
The wig is fine .. there are kids with such huge hair...my daughter’s hair gets like that during summer even bigger .
DeleteThis was exactly what I wrote
Deleteexcept that I called it "forest"
and noted that she is "pretty"
but I can't see my comment
Been visiting this blog for five years
but I am seeing a new wave of disappearance of
comments; at least mine.

DeleteIs that not a wig? Or what am i seeing?
ReplyDeleteIt is!
DeleteBut the Calvary is here with the 'even if it's a wig, where is your own?' type of comments
any little kid can look this good with everything that complimented her beauty while editing.but she is lucky though because now she is a model for life! talking about catching them young.
ReplyDeleteBut this girl doesn't look anything like this in real life. Check her photos with her sisters on insta. This was heavily edited plus all the makeup and contact lens.
ReplyDeleteI had to double check if it was the same girl. She looks nothing like this picture. She’s cuter and natural without the heavy editing
DeleteDear Lord, she's soon Beautiful πππ
ReplyDeleteSoon bawo !!! Ejire
DeleteBeautiful girl.
ReplyDeleteMy hair gets this huge when I loosen it.
*Natural hair is goals*
I love the picture in term of art. However, I am having an issue with the impact/message that it has. Let me first explaining myself by saying that when you go the account of Jare and her sisters ( which shows their natural look), she doesn’t look like this.
ReplyDeleteI understand that the photographer is trying to show a transition between child and adult but I feel it is overexagerated. They made her nose slimmer, her eyes kinda black-blueish, and put a wig with the type of hair pattern you don’t find on most african girls except those from the north.
It is selling an ideal that is not real and in this year of social media, we should stop that especially when it concerns kids. Some parents will be expecting their kids to look a certain way, and when the kid is not, then they are not that happy.
I know for sure some moms saw that girl’s wig wishing their daughter’s hair was same, while others looked at their daughter wishing their nose was slimmer.
I am a little fed with that perfectionist/ oyiboyist image that social media is sending to the black community. A lot of people are loosing their confidence due to that ( and no, I am not among those). It is just sad to see how people I know or not are getting affected.
Please, don’t call me hater or whatsover. It is just my opinion just as anybody is free with their opinion. We can agree to disagree without being disrespectful.
*sorry for the mistake I might have made. English is not my first language*
You are not a hater but u are too serious like professor Akpan.
DeleteVery well said! Did you not read up there about someone's boyfriend saying their daughter will look like that and anty said she smiled. What an insecure wawu!!!
DeleteSam any parent that looks at this picture and wish their daughter looks like this or compare their kids is just plain stupid or dumb. This little girl is very beautiful, but How can you be sad over another person's child looks. So if they see kids that are prettier than this girl, because I have seen extremely gorgeous kids than this girl up there(whose picture is a bit edited). That means such parents will kill themselves or murder their kids.Go on IG search for Lyrichurd,Clement twins,McClure twins e.t.c.And still see, they are kids who are not even IG famous but very beautiful in life. What kinda stupid mentality is this.Mtchewww.Some parents are the reason why most kids are shy, lack self confidence and low self esteem.Love and admire your kids, they don't need faceless people's admiration or attention to survive but yours.
DeleteHer face is the same. Only the hair is different as its a wig. Yeah the eyes were edited but her beauty is the same to me. Of course social media has its bad effects, but the Jare girl doesn't owe those parents who wish to be like her anything. It's like parents who keep telling Rihanna or the Kardashias to stop being naked cos their kids see them as role models. Lmao. You think Rihanna gives a hoot.. she didn't ask nobody to make her a role model. Same thing here. If socail media affects you negatively, then you shouldn't be in it.
DeleteOlori being naked is different from changing human being features to appear different from the real ones. The latter can however be compared to how people do so much plastic surgery.
DeleteBeing naked is a moral and cultural debated for some. However in the case of this picture, like for many other pictures on SM, the real person gets altered with editing app to look something else. That leads most human minds to see the “changed “ person as the real and beautiful, but the real life version as unperfect and ugly.
It is easy to tell people to stop being on SM when we are living in our world of faster technology. whether u wanna see something or not nowadays, you see it because boundaries have been broken.
Can I see her without this big wig?
ReplyDeleteShe sure looks beautiful
ReplyDeleteMofe bamuyiwa is simply the best, she took a picture of me once and I must say she's amazing! ππΌππ
ReplyDeleteBiko is she affordable?
DeleteThis pics took my breath away btw
ReplyDeleteShe is indeed really beautiful. And she looks like me too.
ReplyDeleteI saw this picture and was gushing over it until I saw the unedited photos of same baby.
ReplyDeleteThe other photos with her sisters were beautiful without the whole razzmatazz.
If they are not using this touched up pic for a photo shoot, it was highly very unnecessary.
Hhahaha But then we wouldn't have known about her without this photo. I saw the unedited ones but babygirl is still a beauty. She stared into that camera with such rare passion that only top models possess.
DeleteLet her have her 'Olajumoke' moment.
Wishing her the very best modeling deals or sth like that.
Blackbeauty
ReplyDeleteNot funbact A kids
This is to tell you that most of the models been worshipped in the media are nothing like their true picture Rihanna, Beyonce, et al. But Market must sell. Jare is having a Jumoke moment, the magic of photoshop.
ReplyDeleteJare's beauty is heart warming
ReplyDeleteMelanin beauty.Baby girl looks sweet.I just love the creativity on the photoshot. That afro hair on her was what made the picture to go viral..
