That is how they do here too. If you tell them to sell fuel1 1k they sell 950 and tell you the 50naira is for keg.
ReplyDeleteHere in ph we don't pay for keg except there is scarcity. Bought yesterday just in my keg and did not pay
DeleteConoil in ikeja close to alausa barracks are good in collecting bribe for keg. I am speaking from experience I paid 200 for 20 litres of fuel two years back and that 200 pained me like mad I would have given the guy more if not for the fact that the idiot felt like it was a right. Me I just wind up my glass and left the fool.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm Nigeria!
ReplyDeleteU have done well jare....
ReplyDeleteMc pinky
I applaud you young man.
ReplyDeleteEvery time you eat and throw thrash on the streets or road, you sabotage this country. Every time you bypass your meter to avoid paying for power, you shunt a queue, you bribe to get something faster/easier, you're as bad as the thieving politicians we all(?) loathe.
Good one
ReplyDeleteGod bless you o jare. The level of rot in Nigeria is alarming
ReplyDeleteNice one!
ReplyDeletewow!so beautiful and brave
ReplyDeleteWell done bro, courage is what we need!!
ReplyDeleteWas driving through apongbon under bridge from balogun jeje when them custom officers was coming from the opposite end,I was already more than half way in and there was only space enough for me cos of double parking, oga turned the siren on and kept coming forward,I wasn't bulging, lailai,u saw me and should have waited, looking at me sternly and I was doing same, the one at the back came down and said madam you have to reverse I said NO SIR,kindly check the positioning and see who should have waited for who,ehn I should respect them as the officers of the law and I said I should be respected as the driver on the right lane too.anyone who goes that route will see its always crowded, everyone was observing with some mumbling that I should stand my ground, after a minute he begged his colleague to reverse 'na woman, leave am'.he reversed and I went my way jeje hearing some cheers from onlookers before shaky shaky start seeing as that one that came to talk to me held a gun(lmao)!
Someone might suggest he pays the 50 Naira & face his front, afterall others are paying.
ReplyDeleteInstead of making the culprits loose their job.
However,take into cognisance
This Igbo adage that says:
“Ihe ojo
gba afo, oburu omenana.”
Loosely
translated to
“When an evil practice comes
of age or is entrenched in a society, it
becomes a Tradition.”
Kudos young man.
The man has done very well
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Nigerians is that corruption has eaten so deep into them that they don't bother to fight for their right , everyone want to take the fast route of corruption.

ReplyDeleteThus, the problem of Nigeria is the people.
