Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state has been served an impeachment notice by eight of 30 lawmakers of the State House of Assembly.
What is your say on this development?Would you say he is being used as a scapegoat or he deserves what he is getting?

ReplyDeleteYes, he deserve what he is getting. This man has really messed people up in Benue state.
DeleteNot interested. They brought APC let them suffer the consequences
ReplyDeleteI concur with you.
DeleteThis is orchestrated from powers above. Why impeachment now after he has decamped? Why not before now if at all there is justification for that.
ReplyDeleteTo me this is political rascality and gangsterism. That impeachment won't stand unless democratic process has been abolish in this country. How can eight persons form majority for impeachment? This is so worrisome to our collective effort for a better Nigeria.
Two third makes a quorum for impeachment. It doesn’t necessarily have to be from power above. It is lawmakers exercising their strength. But Uncle, your grammar here no enter at all. Sentence restructuring please. Why you dey fall hand na?
DeleteAnon shut the toilet called mouth. You want to tell me you have PHD in sentence restructuring from the University of Toronto abi?
DeleteThis man is owing 9 months salaries . He was owing before the crisis even started. What ever party he is in her is a disaster
DeleteI think it's all shades of wrong whenever the minority claim they are the majority and I think it won't hold water. Same people that accused Jonathan of condoning things with body language are doing same. Note that I never supported Jonathan. This government is just a disappointment. If you feel Ortom and his band of defectors are inconsequential why not leave them in peace? Call the police to order this is not a military regime. We saw what happened to Fayemi when the PDP was at the helm of affairs, double happened to Fayose during the last election and he cried foul. All I'm saying is what goes around comes around though in this case Nigeria will be worse for it. APC should leave Ortom alone even though I am not pro Ortom.
ReplyDeleteDo you know how he got into APC in the first place? Ortom is not clean just like the rest if them. Benue don't need him either. All benue governors always become a curse on the state.

ReplyDeleteAfi 'imput' na lol
ReplyDeleteWho deserves impeachment more than our President?
ReplyDeleteFor the sake of his son (my friend 😊) I hope he is spared but you know What, make them do as they like. I no send
They all deserve to be impeached. Even the son should be impeached.
DeleteHian.....and some fools still believe Buhari has any integrity .....30-8=22
ReplyDeleteAPC SCAM change government don't know mathematics again.......smh
They were not eight because the former speaker was suspended, seven can not impeach the Governor. 22 house members were in full support of the Governor.
ReplyDeleteTheir wahala
ReplyDeleteWhat they are doing is wrong, but I think Ortom is getting what he deserves. First of all he wasn't even an APC candidate during the 2015 elections. Sen. George Akume brought him in at the last minute when he lost in the PDP primaries and forced him on other APC members even though many protested he didn't mind.
ReplyDeleteNow same Sen. Akume wants h out coz he didn't keep to his own part of the agreement when they forced him on others, and he is crying. He was the one that first illegally organized the impeachment of the Benue speaker who is in Akume's camp and installed his person even when the house was on recess. Now Akumeis also using the federal myths to impeach him illegally. Not that am a supporter of Akume, but I will be happy if govt. Promise overthrown. He is owing workers over 20 months salary, and he stole N22b which he refuse to share with Sen. Akume. That is why they are quarrelling. I only pity the innocent youths that will be killing themselves for this people. I wish Benue people will be wise enough to vote out both govt. Ortom and sent. Akume in the next elections. All of them na THIEVES.
