I graduated from university from a professional course about three years ago, my total earning in a month is close to seven figures(allowances and salaries inclusive) and i work in a high profile organization, i am still not satisfied but i am grateful and i want more. There are people in the same organization i work who earn 7 million to 30 million Naira every month. I am sure there are young people on this blog that earn more.
I like Chioma but i hope she is investing in a business . Everyone must not go to school to make it but you can be street smart but do not underrate education especially for women.

Who says there are no jobs and who says people don't get paid their salaries? Try Oil companies for starters. With Davido's family connection she can get a high flying job. If she gets her degree and decides to face her catering business and wants to do contracts, there are some states that if you want a contract you have to bring your degree and NYSC certificate.

I weep for Nigeria
ReplyDeleteOur youth don't dream and they think the low totem pole salary they earn is the highest in the world or even Nigeria. One of the I TOO KNOW is screaming out her lungs, its a lie, not in Nigeria, never. You better broaden your mind and think big.
There are young girls and boys out there taking home 400000, 500,000 a month, 600,000, 700,000, 800000, 900,000, 1000000 , 2 million, 5 million, 30 million a month as salaries.
Who is talking about Chevron or NNPC? Why cant either of you broaden your mind and think outside your box? Nigerians and oil company...smh.
Eesah, you have known me on this blog but you know the MYSTERY that likes drama and co. Most times you see me on this blog typing up a storm, i am actually taking a lunch break from work to re-energize or i just concluded an official assignment and lounging in my hotel room.
One thing you should know, companies like these exist in Nigeria but i wouldn't exactly call them Nigerian owned companies because they are foreign owned and have sub-offices in some countries in the world. I know what the staff working in Nigeria earn and i shared the vacancy with a stranger who became a friend who was formerly working in the civil service and earning small salary of 170000 Naira per month. .Vacancies aren't exactly everywhere too because they are highly coded with their advert. The youth don't want to know because they are fixated on banking jobs, Chevron and others.
May i stop here and go back to the drama loving MYSTERY.

Mystery, I do believe what you said. Some cool salary and incentives usually come from those foreign companies. What I realized eventually was that Nigeria is a hotspot for companies and those folks need reps from Nigeria to help them set up. From a recent conference in Berlin, it was said that most multinationals need contacts from Africa but they don't have any. That's why I said earlier that education helps in logical reasoning when fully maximized. Like the use of Internet as a tool for career growth or for global networking rather than insulting one's ancestors or hating on other people...

ReplyDeleteFacebook owner didn't leave school and do nothing, he spent his free time developing an app. Its like when you read the success stories of people, you pick up the least inspiring aspect of the story and ride to the moon with it. You are suppose to learn from their weakness and let it become your strength.
Bill gates left school too to pursue his dream but does he employ dropout in his company or his foundation? No. When brain drain happens, where Nigerian professionals are sought after abroad, tell me, did you hear that either of them are Secondary School drop out?
Constructive advice does not mean you hate someone. She is an Igbo girl and the girlfriend to a millionaire. If she gets dumped, she leaves with the memory of how thick or slim his manhood is and all the trips they took together. He can even recover all the gifts he gave her. Now, if they legalize their union, she can always benefit from all his investment and keep her gift.
She needs to start thinking smart, get admission in a school abroad, make sure he pays all tuition fees, start a business, be in love like never before, invest the excess money and continue to be in love. Then get married.
Did Anna Ebiere not go back to school?
It will be quite sad if at the end of the day, Chioma leaves the relationship empty handed, no education, no marriage, no business(i mean solid business) and the title of an ex while his babymamas are guaranteed 18 years of child support while they probably marry another man and still be getting the cash.
