Crowdfunding Social Causes Launches In Nigeria

Quickraiz is a crowdfunding platform that aims to bridge the gap between fundraisers and donors.

With Quickraiz, individuals or corporate organisations with causes ranging from emergency support, medical funding, weddings, charity, education, political campaigns, memorials, alumni association contributions, sport funding, group gifting, travels and so on, could raise funds in an easy and secure online community.

The stated vision of the platform is to “create that meeting point for fundraisers and donors alike thereby changing lives and making funding for good causes easy, fast and secure”.

A product of Ativo limited, one of Nigeria’s leading technology companies, Quickraiz is the first platform in Nigeria to accept donations on its platform at zero cost to donors.

Speaking at the official launch of the platform at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, Mr. Ade Adedeji, Chairman, Epayplus Ltd (parent company of Ativo limited) provided background to the platform and what we can expect from it: “Ativo Limited, is a technology company established to consistently deliver sustainable innovative interventions that create economic development. We are looking for societal problems that require technological solutions in every facet of the economy with the aim of creating opportunities, better lifestyle and convenience”

Explaining further, Mr. Bayo Adeokun, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Epayplus Limited stated that “Our focus has been towards providing a reliable, convenient and highly functional platform. We have generated several feedbacks through different mediums deliberately to feel the pulse of our would-be users and eventually used them as a vehicle to achieve top notch service.”

The platform is already impacting lives. One of the recently concluded donation drive was for Oluwashina, a six weeks old baby born with a medical condition called Bladder exstrophy. Within a few days, the sum of N241,000 was raised on the Quickraiz platform to help Oluwashina get the needed surgery that will enable him live normal like other children.
