I used to hate moi moi being cooked in cans mostly because of the torture of washing the cans afterwards.
ReplyDeleteI prefer nylon jare, less stress. Make dem dey deceive una say e dey give cancer. Akuko uwa!!!
Please guys which is d best of the affordable beans flour in the market?
I still cook mine in baking tins with a lid. It is easy and safe. I hate the leaf method because you can’t store it properly. I like to cook plenty and store for weeks.
DeleteAnon you sabi something.
DeleteI even have the above tins at home.
I love moin moin
You can prepare your own bean flour..type of beans I prefer is butter beans or honey beans depends what its called in your location. Its usually white/lightly brown in color. The black eyes is usually almost nonexistent. Just pick the dirt from the beans and ground to flour. Its what i use now & its comes out looking like i washed the beans.
DeleteI remember wella
ReplyDeleteI'm actually taking moimoi & fresh ginger pap with milk as I type this.
ReplyDeleteJoin me.
I'm also taking same here, I made my moi moi in this aluminium cup, it can also be use for baking.
DeleteChoice ginger pap is the best.
DeleteI am having beans and fried potatoes
No breakfast yet, but will likely have boiled eggs, sausage and tomatoes. Trying the keto game.
ReplyDeleteMoimoi elewe, (leaf) is the best.
ReplyDeleteI love moi moi elewe too but I don't know how to wrap it.
DeleteI had moi moi (I cooked it in aluminum plates) and Pap for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteOh no..seeing this reminds me of my sufferings. .I was working in a buka and had to take moimoi off the can,I will deliberately leave some in the can and scrape all to eat later with garri and the food I will be giving I will take home to my kids.but some wicked customer will tell me to scrape everything ..God be the glory, we made it ...don't ever give up,I served for 1year,saved from it started selling akara and then bread but today I own two shops and I am currently in a uni doing diploma to improve .
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 10:03 Congratulations you survived and are now doing well. However, you have entitlement mentality. It is people like you that are corrupt but shout Nigeria is corrupt the most. Why will you deliberately leave some moimoin in the can? That is cheating and stealing from paying customers. And you have the temerity to call those who demand full moimoin wicked? Now that you have two shops how will you feel if people buy from you and refuse to pay in full? Do you know what you were doing by selling incomplete moimoin could have driven some customers away? They will say - that place, they never sell complete moimoin. They may not complaint to your madam, but word of mouth can ruin food business. The madam of the food biz was sorry for you and employed you and you repay her by almost ruining her biz?? You were the wicked one. Change your ways.(That Isoko babe) Stella Mavor?
DeleteThey aren't wicked, they are only trying to get value for their money.you don't know their struggles too. Well done still👏👏 good thing you didn't give up
Deletewell done you. Try doing a dioloma in a polytecnic instead. You would not be able to get a job via uni. diploma. It is to upgrade those who already in the civil or public service
DeletePlease are you God? By God's grace she will definitely get a well paying job and your evil prophecy returns back to you in Jesus Mighty Name Åmèñ.
DeleteTake it easy! The commenter wasn't trying to insult/prophesy negatively towards her. Every thing is not fight biko.
DeleteNothing yet. I enjoyed the moimoi in can then. But now I use the plate
ReplyDeleteI ate adalu (beans and corn).
ReplyDeleteI love spicy moi-moi!

DeleteWe call it moinmoin alagolo... No breakfast yet. Wetin dey hungry me no dey market
ReplyDeleteMoimoi in Tin reminds one of the good old days. The quality of Tins have reduced now and as such not durable again. Moimoi with leaf is best for taste and flavour though.
ReplyDeleteRice and stew
ReplyDeleteI remember those days. I don't enjoy washing the cans after eating so what I did was to start throwing them away until we have none left.
ReplyDeleteHahaha @ throwing them away that tin no easy to wash
DeleteI'm having spiritual manna for breakfast. Come and Join me.
ReplyDeleteNo thank you,we dont want to collect witchcraft
DeleteI do but washing the cans were something else. As I grew older I became the moin moin cook in the house because I hated beans. Still don't like it. I use nylons instead though they say it's not healthy. I'm having noodles with fried eggs no strength to cook.
ReplyDeletePlease use the native Elewe or Uma leaves it is more nutritious and hygienic.
DeleteElse you use disposable cups and pad the pots wella before setting cups.
The styrofoam in them is less compared to plastic cups.
Diseases abound. Shine your eyes.
I should learn how to wrap the leaves then. Thank you XP.
DeleteI've once eaten moon moin wrapped in foiled paper
DeleteDrinking chilled garri on my mind. The weather is so hot.
ReplyDeletePan cake and a cup of Lipton garnished with lemon.
ReplyDeleteHot akara with bread, washed down with a cup tea
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting for Akidi, ùgba and ji agwòró agwo with dry fishes and vegetables. Hahahaha.
ReplyDeleteMummy-in-law has berthed lastnight with every every including the ones they'll travel with.
It's summer time.
Some are frowning, some are crying already because of plenty pepper and yellow teeth in the making but THEY MUST EAT IT.

Let the drama begin.
Rccg fasting still on going
ReplyDeleteFried eggs with indomie
ReplyDeleteI remember using all those milk tin cans for moimoi. Wow..
ReplyDeleteEvery Saturday, my mom prepares moimoi (using moimoi leaves now) and we take pap with it. Thinking of continuing the tradition when I get married.
