"The Governor had left the meeting saying he was satisfied with the assurances given by Party leaders. We are still working on giving effect to the resolutions from the meeting. Therefore, we are somewhat surprised by Governor Ortom's decision.
"The Party reiterates its earlier position that it respects the rights of every citizen to chose their political affiliation but expresses hope that those who have left the Party will rescind their decisions.
"Even with this development, we don't think it is too late for reconciliation. We have to continue to talk. As long as people keep their minds open and have the courage to put the real issues on the table, reconciliation is still possible.
"We once again call on members across the country to remain calm as the Party leadership continues to work hard to position the Party strongly for the next general elections."

*Chei chei chei...what is going on?This is indeed Change...last minute Change!!!
Why are they surprise? They are responsible for it and should live with it.
ReplyDeleteBut wait ooh, Why are this politicians like this naa? Yesterday it was Governor Ortom of Benue State and Tambuwal the Governor of Sokoto state along side all his house of assembly members that defected to PDP. More is coming today and tomorrow like I told you, for 18th of August is speedily approaching.
Do they want to give Mr President 'the old man' high Bp? Didn't they have respect for elders? Adams 'Oshio baba' hope you are enjoying your sleep as the national chairman who said he won't lose his sleep over his allies defecting. Who does or say that?
Adams Oshiomohle, if you were a noble and honorable man, you won't have accepted that position of chairmanship of a party your predecessor Oyegun and Tinubu destroyed out of personal gains. How do you think you can reconcile a people who are aggrieved over a flopped congresses held all over Nigeria that produced parallel factions in this short time before elections? And worse of it Mr President couldn't take charge to settle the differences as the leader of the party he is.
Bola Tinubu the Jagabam of Lagos as your people call you. Why not bury your head in shame or will you be the last man standing? Under your struggle and succeeding in the removal of Oyegun as the party chairman, what has become of your party? I hope it's not what I am thinking but if it is, I am certain PDP might consider your defecting.
Kwara State and Adamawa wait for their press conference today or tomorrow for their imminent announcement of defecting. This is what I call political tsunami.
Headache!
