When asked if she could marry someone who earns less than her,she said it’s relative and concluded that she doesn’t pray to marry someone who earns less than her.
Her achievement for now is ''being able to produce her first movie at 26 yrs and taking it to the cinema.....being able to focus on my readership business,my construction life and being an actress,I think those are my biggest achievement ,i am doing well for a 26 yr old girl''
Her take on feminism ''I feel like sometimes people get it confused...feminism doesn't mean you should insult your husband or boyfriend or think you are dominating everywhere.feminism means oh you are hard working, you are a Boss lady, you are taking care of your family, you are also working at the same time.you know your rights and not allowing anybody to step on you but at the same time you know your values and they are set right.feminism doesn't mean all of a sudden your husband is your puppet and you can talk to him anyhow..''

ReplyDelete"Feminism" has suffered.
ReplyDeleteSome other word should take over so we can move on from this feminist talk.
Getting boring already.
...marrying a man tgan earn less, i can if all chips are down, and his attitude & personality is top notch, also if he sacrificed to get me to the top, why not?
ReplyDeleteYou cant start from scratch with a man and suddenly u earn more than him so u dump him looking for a richer dude, which God will answer that prayer for you?
That's exactly what some women will do.
DeleteA lot of Nigerians are kinda exposed to aggressive radical feminism! I also noticed most people can't comprehend things there days and easily get angry.
ReplyDeleteIf not for feminism, we wouldn't have been able to vote, go to school, own properties and more @Lilian.
Sorry, I don't agree with your last paragraph!
DeleteNigerian women have always own properties, went to school and has been voting since time immemorial.
I think a lot of Nigerians confused American and European woomen history with Nigerian women history.
Please, we should always know the difference.
By the way, Nigerians should stop practicing other countries"Feminism", I just said it, stop practicing it.
I have come to realize that different rules and regulations apply and abides in other countries when it comes to being feminist.
And also, people have different ways of "practicing" their feminism
Nigerian women are among the first independent women.
If you say so but I still maintain my stand! Go read more on Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti and what she stood for among other women who were notable feminists.
