In 2011 Mercy claimed she was paid 5 million naira to shave her hair..they used razor blade
In 2013 Chika Ike claimed she was paid 5 million naira to shave her hair....they used razor blade.
In 2016 actress Fathia Williams went bald for the second time for a movie role and she claimed she was paid 2 million nara...They used razor blade...
So now in 2018 going bald is now one hundred and fifty thousand naira?Na wah!!!
I think the actor playing the role matters too. You can't come and shave Genevieve' hair and pay in thousands naw. Mbanu.

DeleteHollywood uses their movies as a tool for entertainment and education unlike Nollywood that uses theirs as a tool for moral lessons,the very reason the end of their movies are always predictable. Funnily enough, the so called actors and actresses don't even make use of the lessons. Movies are meant to entertain not to teach morals, the Bible is already there to correct us biko.
ReplyDeleteThat's not true. All media messages are meant to either entertain, inform, educate or persuade. Some do more than one. If you learn moral lessons from a movie, is that not education? Hollywood movies that educate are mostly historical movies. Yet, there has to be an entertainment factor, which is why real event stories are tampered with. Our movies emphasize the moral part of education because in Nigerian cultures, storytelling is meant to not just entertain but also pass on life lessons. Oh, and actors and actresses are playing a role based on someone else's vision of life, not inviting you into their personal lives. Finally, if the Bible is there to correct you, why do you go to church and listen to testimonies and pastors/priests interpret it for you?
