I still find it difficult to believe those gory images I saw on footage lying on the streets are humans over 120 in numbers, killed by group of senseless and blood sucking demons as a result of their missing cows, aturu, as boasted by the leader of Miyetti group.
How did we get to this point? It wasn't this bad before now, not until this present administration came into power. Where have their conscience gone as a people? If at all they have one. Why this inaction from the presidency?
Abia State wasn't in crisis as this when Mr President declared war to the peaceful people in the guise of operation Python dance?
Why wasn't such operation declared in Jos, Benue, Nassarawa, Adamawa etc? Why haven't this nomadic Fulani herdsmen who have been going around killing indigenous people arrested and prosecuted? Why haven't they been proscribed as terrorist? But armless agitators who haven't shot a gun where hurriedly proscribed.
Where is Rev Fr. Ejike Mbaka? Was Jonathan this insensitive and heartless that he was ridiculed before your congregation? Why have you chosen to go mute now? Your friend Mr Muhammadu Buhari who you campaigned for and got into power has become insensitive to the plight of Christians in which you and I belongs. I believe you know our faith is been threatened. As a Catholic, I won't fail to register my grievance and displeasure over your silence.

I saw the anon post about her Musa bf on yesterday's SP. Na wa o. My own guy is the direct opposite of that man but this life na mystery because person wey get head no get cap. I wish my man has more money. I am working while he will finish his studies by October. For the past one year that I got a job, this man refused to give me his account number despite my numerous pleads. I kukuma stopped asking him. He has a side hustle and anytime he makes money, he gives me cool cash and gets foodstuff for me since I live alone. What I do with my money for him is for birthday's present and for my personal savings. If I make mistakes or fumbles, he frowns at my actions and corrects but he never cussed me for once. He believes to be a provider to the extent of ending my call in order to call back immediately if he has credit. Infact, he told me categorically to stop getting things for him.

He and his dad are pushing me for my Masters but I always post them. Then my guy asked if the problem is money or lack of interest. He said he is tired of reading but I should find a school where I will spend just a year for Msc and that he will support me (before marriage o).
When I was younger and had anger issue, I once mistakenly slapped him. This guy shed tears that day and told me how difficult I make loving me to be hard for him. I left him then but ran back to him in 2016. I so much respect him and he loves me too. The only issue I have with him is that he told me to give him two years for him to hustle more and come for my hand in marriage. I am 25, he is 30 but my dad has started disturbing me for marriage. It's not as if I don't meet richer guys but peace of mind, and the stability of my emotions is important to me. I hope waiting for him won't be a mistake, and I hope he won't change when he starts rolling in money.
I love my parents for one thing, they don't remind or disturb anyone for marriage, they will even make you n d house so comfy that u will miss it if u get married...

ReplyDeleteWhat does it mean to be a Peace maker?it means restoring normalcy to a situation that would otherwise had led to chaos thereby causing hatred amongst those involved.
Two women had a serious argument, what caused it? One of the women was quarrelling the child of the other for pouring dirty in the gutter,she came all the way from the 2nd floor to pour dirt in the gutter, so this woman was telling her she did wrong and she should pack it,before we knew what was happening the child's mother had descended from the step and was telling the other woman to mind her business that she was lying against her daughter, the argument was so heated,they destroyed each other with words.
Meanwhile, while all this was going all,the woman living at the third floor who saw what actually happened kept mute and watched both women destroyed themselves, so many hurtful words were said.This happened last year.
On Wednesday, an issue brought both women together,in the process of discussing, the woman whose child was accused of pouring dirty in the gutter told the other woman she was sorry for what happened last year, that it was later the one at third floor told her, her daughter actually poured dirty in the gutter.But the harm was already done,words spoken cannot be retrieved.
If the said woman had intervened when the quarrelling broke out,a lot would have been averted.
So many times we keep quiet and just watch knowing fully well that our words would have made the difference.
Today,why not act the Peace maker and bring people together instead of watching them destroy themselves with hatred and bitterness, Remember blessed are the Peace makers for they shall be called the son's of God i.e people would recognise you as children of God because you acted as one.Recently a woman acted that role between 2 women & an issue which should have involved the police was quenched and they both apologized to each other.
With Peace comes security, with Peace comes happiness, with Peace you can leave your little child with that your neighbour without fear,without having to worry about tribe or ethnicity. Peace is priceless.
In a world filled with hate and violence,Jesus has called you to be a Peace maker,why not take the initiative today.

DeleteThis weekend was a black one for me. Prior to the death of Daniel, I lost a friend on Friday. This guy and I both served in Sokoto but posted to different PPAs. Although his parents reside in the town, I guess they have the long leg for him to also serve in that town. He got a job last year, and he came to Lagos, with his colleagues last week for an annual conference or so. He went to the pool and drowned. I wonder if pools no longer have life guards. He was such a bright and cool pharmacist. The first child of the family. Well, I don't know if I ever want to move near a pool in my life.

As I speak, my friend and hubby paid N20m deposit and havent seen their so-called house for 6 months. They promised house after 3 weeks, nothing till now. The owner is now doing hide and seek, running interstate. She and hubby are in this battle with about 10 other people they got to know- lets leave the ones they don't know. Their office location has been shut down a few times by angry customers, as they are still holding peoples' money. Please, if they approach you or anyone mentions them to you: RUN!! Angry customers have just opened their file with EFCC. If they take any money from you now, its O-VER!
Corporate scams are really on-going in Nigeria oh! They have a few successes to act like its real and before you know it, its a ponzi scheme. These scammers know Nigerians are not into details and they package to a point that you think they know what they are doing. Me??? I prefer to save my money in the bank, in a non-withdrawal account and when its enough I get a realtor, purchase my land and build as I can. Or buy the house at once when the money is ready - CASH!! Nigeria is still very unstable for these things and if Government is not involved you would most likely be duped. Dont trust fancy marketers with plenty english, na Lagos we dey.

DeleteI have flown on Arik/Aero many times. One particular flight on Arik, I confessed the sins of people I don't even know exist. It was like a Danfo in the skies. I literally thought it was the end. Another time when I got in the plane, I saw someone sitting on my assigned seat. I complained to the air steward, speaking plenty grammar. Dude just looked at me and said quietly, I should quickly find any seat and sit down!!! It was only later I understood that they had taken money from more passengers than the plane could occupy,and obviously had an overflow. You don't want to know what the other passengers did.

What is this country turning into? I mistakenly watched about 5 seconds of a video where a man penetrated an INFANT. At first I thought he was trying to change the child's pampers but as soon as I realized what he was doing I quickly closed the video and deleted it. Why? When did we become this evil?
