NYSC Says Corps Members Won't Be Withdrawn From Plateau State

AJUWAYA!!!!

The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig. Gen. Suleiman Kazaure, while reacting to the recent killing of over 200 persons in Plateau state by suspected armed herdsmen; has said the scheme will not withdraw corps members deployed to Plateau State.

Speaking on Thursday at a workshop organized in Abuja for all protocol officers of the scheme, Kazaure tasked NYSC staff to make security an integral part of the planning process in all NYSC events by stepping up liaison with relevant agencies.

Kazaure, who was represented by Mrs. Victoria Okakwu, the scheme’s Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, said: “NYSC is a human organisation. We feel whatever happens in any part of the country. Just the way we handled the insecurity of the Northeast, we will handle the situation in Plateau, Benue, and other volatile states.

“We are very responsive. We will work in line with the NYSC Act to ensure that the lives of corps members are safe. We will not withdraw our corps members from Plateau but we have plans to guarantee their safety. We cannot disclose the plans because security matters are not discussed in the open.”

  2. *NEVER AGAIN*

May be if not for the lives of our beloved cows that were killed we would have won Argentina.

May be if we had replaced Mikel, ekong, moses, etebo and musa with few of our talented cows, the match would have taken a better shape.

    I won't blame our coach

Its just that we don't value what we have, if we do, we wouldn't have gone out to pick a coach when we have able herdsmen who have severally proven to us that they can protect and protest for the sake their team.

If our chief herdsman was given opportunity to lead Nigeria to Russia,
the world would have known that denying us two penalties is detrimental to the lives of some FIFA officials...

He would have helped burn all the referees to ashes so they know that Nigerians don't take rubbish.

So that will know that we are not just capable but terrible.

    Yesterday morning I asked my friends some questions;

why is Mikel obi and his team still in Russia playing football when their mothers, fathers and siblings are being burnt to ashes by our honorable herdsmen?

Why can't they decline the match so that the whole world can ask questions? May be the world would have come to rescue Nigeria from this height of uncertainty.

Why can't history be created for ones by the black race to proof to the world that we value lives even more than trophies.

What are they still doing in Russia?

Am not saying they did a bad thing to play; no, they fought for our dear country, and they did it with all their sweat, blood and bonds.. I cherish their spirit.

    But think about it,

*is this present Nigeria worth fighting for?*

A nation where human blood are been used to appease the spirit of cows, is it worth fighting for?

A nation where all a victim will get is a courtesy visit and a one-minute-silent and no justice, is it worth fighting for?

A country where animal right is more important than human right, is it worth fighting for?

A nation where human beings do not have food to eat, but compelled to give up their farm lands for cows to feed on and be healthy, is it worth fighting for?

A nation where tractors and catapilars are been used to dig graves instead of shovels, is it worth fighting for?

*When thousands of innocent blood are legally crying against the land for justice, how far do you think your physical fight will go?*

Plateau state, I deeply mourn and weep with you, and i pray,

Never again will your children turned orphans overnight

Never again will your women be made widows without a cause

Never again will you watch the corps of your elders thrown into pit like infected fowls,

Never again will you ask, which one is my son, because all have been burnt beyond recognition

Never again will this mass cry repeat itself in your land,

Never again will smoke take over your roofs

Never again will you run for shelter in another man's house

    And

Never again will cows be more valuable than human beings.

*Never again. Never again, Never again.*

May the souls of our late brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and children in plateau state rest in peace.

  5. Nysc has never cared for corps members. They are a selfish organisation. Im sure the DG is from the north as well. They never ever redeploy corps memebrs that are posted to volatile areas whenever there is crisis. Because its mostly southerners that are posted there so we can die for the country. Arrant nonsense.
Stupid scheme that benefits only those in charge of allawee and producing the uniforms.
