WOW!!!
Dear Stella my darling our baby is here
This same child for who I kept praying to carry to term and sowing a couple of seeds on your blog have arrived. And am immensely thankful to God.
Well my first trimester was filled with morning sickness and loss of appetite and weakness but when I got to my second trimester I was super energetic and my son was healthy too. Fast forward to my 27th week I saw bloody show and I was having severe contractions out of the blues I quickly rushed to the hospital myself and DH on reaching I was sent for scan and everything was in place but my baby was trying to come out prematurely so I was placed on Sabutamol and some other drugs and asked not to do anything stressful anymore.
So I had to stop working and started staying at a place A lot doing nothing thankfully I go to my 35week without duress then I started exercising bit by bit and waiting for my darling son to arrive. Well at 37weeks I would have mild contractions that comes and goes yet nothing serious so I wasn't bothered I went for my ANC and I was asked to go for scan turns out my amniotic fluid was diminishing I was asked to go home and come back in the next few days so they can check again I went back with DH on 39th week and had to do another scan .
my EDD was 12th of April but I went for my routine ANC on the 4th and the Doc requested I do another scan because I was still having the mild cramps and he checked and said I was 3cm but he needed me to do another scan so they are sure everything is fine. Well turns out my amniotic fluid was almost gone. The doc called us in and told us that I had to be induced immediately and if after that labour doesn't come on strong then they would have to carry out emergency C-section as to avoid any complications.
We accepted and I was admitted. The nurses administered drip and set it at 10ml I was busy gisting with hubby ,my mum and the matron I even told them I was hungry they said I shouldn't eat just in case I would be having a C-section.
Well after a while they moved it to 20ml and full blown madness came upon me I was screaming come and do me CS oooo I was walking people out of my room and my sight in fact it was terrible and the pain was excruciating I didn't just know what to do then they came as checked and said it was already 6cm I was mad but hopeful hubby and Mumsy were taking turns in rubbing my back ooo for were pain no free me oooo this whole thing started around 3 then by 6 they checked again and said I was fully dilated and they took me to the delivery room that was where the real life drama started.
On getting to the delivery room J was visibly vibrating like someone that had acute fever and everyone was scared what could be the course. Well I somehow managed to lie down I was given IVF on one hand and the other drip was still on the other hand I told them I wanted to go to toilet and the midwife said if you have that urge then pop here I have got you covered. So I waited for the contractions to come again. Lo and behold it was sleep that came my dear BV ,

I was feeling super sleepy..
I called my hubby and mum thankfully they where a there with me, my mum said not to give in to the sleep and hubby kept kissing my cheek and telling me everything will be fine alas I fought the sleep and then started feeling the contractions again then I started pushing even though I was all jerking then my babies head engaged and the midwife asked hubby to come see the minute he saw it he kept screaming ''MINE push we are going to be parents, you will soon have a lovely son ,you can do this''..
Those where the words I was hearing. My mom was on the other side praying with some nurses inside the room. I was so tired I couldn't push further all I was hearing were mums Prayers and my hubby's voice then my mum gave me this sharp slap that brought me back to life and one of the nurse pressed my stomach so hard with my hubby holding my hands I gave the last push and they gave me a tear and my baby came out so perfect busy licking his hands and crying then they place him on my chest and all the pains went away .
I was filled with so much joy I couldn't hold the tears and my hubby was crying alongside saying we did it. he weighed 3.5.
The stitching wasn't painful I was given painkiller so I felt nothing. After that I was wheeled back to my room I gave birth at exactly 6pm . I already told my hubby that day I wanted to eat cold and pizza when I get back to that room and I saw it waiting for me I quickly started chopping my life away until my mum came and started with don't eat ice-cream drink this one and spoilt my groove.
Attached is his pics for your eyes only Stella. He would be 2months soonest forgive my errors auto-correct won't let me be great. Baby dust to everyone TTC and please what can I do to flatten my tummy please not exercises oo I no get power .

ReplyDeleteCongratulations dear, Thank God for safe delivery. Pls find out about Aju mbaise, it is said that it flattens the tummy.
ReplyDeleteHope you started using a postpartum belt immediately after delivery? Then don't listen to your mother and be drinking pap with plenty milk, tea, eating pounded yam, and other starchy foods that they claim aids breastmilk to flow because ypu will just more weight o. Drink quaker oats, eat it as swallow also, eat fruits and veggies when you feel like snacking, no fizzy drinks and junk, eat bulgur wheat instead of rice and high protein meals too then a lot of water. You will lose weight without compromising your milk supply.I did all these and by the time my baby was 2mnths I had lost the 15kg I gained during pregnancy and my tummy was flat as ever. Now she is 3mnths, I weigh less than what i was prepregnancy and people dont ever believe she is my child when I go out with her. It is difficult but achievable.
ReplyDeletePlease dear, what is bulgur wheat and what does it look like. Also what were the high protein meals you were eating?
