Ortom, while inaugurating the 19 chairmen and members of the state-owned Boards and Commissions in Makurdi, lamented the level of killings and destruction of property in Benue, Plateau and other North Central states by armed militant herdsmen.
According to him, “those who have claimed responsibility for the killings should be arrested. Just like we in Benue have been calling for their arrest for their complicity in the Benue killings. What is the government waiting for? It is heartrending that in a country of close to 200 million people this kind of act takes place as if we are still living in the past."

Why should he be arrested? Fulani herders didn't just carry out that reprisal attack cause thier cows alone were killed, but cause 4 Fulani men were killed by farmers of that community prior. And not just that, they've suffered so many casualties in that community in the past.

Delete@Eesah, Falae's farm was plundered by the Fulani's sometime last year. What did he do to them that they plundered his farm? Assuming he killed their cows for the damaged, you are saying it would have been right for them to go and retaliate right? I think they even went back a 2nd time and set the farm on fire.

Fulani herdsmen are humans and part of Nigeria too. You can't just keep killing them and thier cows over a long period of time and not expect them to fight back. Instead of asking that the Miyati Allah leader be arrested, why don't you as a governor proffer solutions that would solve the yester-years conflict instead?

you are not been fair here, IPOB were going about their demonstrations and rally peacefully. what happened, we had snakes, pythons and crocodile dance all over the southern part of the country, yet this group that have come out openly to claim responsibility for the carnage, still have the airwaves, where they make spurious claims and allegation. Why have the government of the day not proscribe the Miyetti cattle association as terrorist organization but was fast to proscribe IPOD as terrorist.
DeleteI really feel for the lives lost, if indeed cattle were rustled as alleged, there are several channels of resolving it, the heardmen could have been compensated for the losses, but now taking lives in place of cattle? Then this incidence was on for close to three days non stops, now Plateau state is HQ of the Nigeria Army 3 Division, me think the 3rd Divisional Commander should be arrested and detained with immediate effect for allowing this to occur within the space this carnage occurred.
A cow is not a needle. If cows were stolen, why not make a report. Why kill human beings in exchange for a cow. I pity you Eesaah.

If you kn anything about the Fulamis you will kn that they are not easy to kill. These are people that go abt deep in the bush all year round and hv contact with all sorts of wild animals and spirits. Even the stick the carry on their shoulder is heavily jazzed and it's a weapon on its own. They started attacking people on their farms and now come at night to their homes and you say what?
