While speaking with Sunday Scoop, Orjiekwe said, “I still have a lot to do as an actor and woman, though I am enjoying my life. If I had known better, I would have probably pursued a career in the oil and gas sector. I love acting but there is no money in it as much as in the oil sector. I have a lot of expenses; I have a baby, do charity, like to look good and have a family to support. For you to be able to do all these, you need to make a lot of money. Unfortunately, acting cannot give you much money.”
She also insisted that she was not in competition with anyone , saying, “I am just myself. If you are successful today, I wish you the best but life is not all about competition. I only do things I love to do and it has helped me grow as an actress and individual.”from punch.
She just exposed herself and colleagues further..Looool!
ReplyDeleteSomeone should tell me the movie Genevieve, Ini Edo and others has done recently that paid them millions of Naira to afford their over the top designers?
Delete@anon...so u think they didn't invest the money they made back in the days.
DeleteSeason of TRUTH. Mimi can u see what was said abt u b4 d marriage scatter na true?
DeleteAll this nollywood girls shd take it easy.@13.21 it is called Block Buster OTU AMU AND IKPU. If u know u know

DeleteShut up abeg!!..
The table shakers don start o!
ReplyDeleteThey will jump out in 3 2 1 now to insult her
I think these Nollywood practitioners should either go into interior decor/upholstery business or movement of properties for those who who are changing address so as to cash in on this table movement and shaking season.
DeleteHian! She kukuma talk am wella
ReplyDeleteShe has finally exposed what others were trying to hide...kikikikiki
ReplyDeleteShe only compared acting to oil and gas not acting to banking or 9-5 job so there is money in acting.
ReplyDeletebesides she's nt even a B list actress.is her pay upto 500k a movie?
God bless you for this... I don’t understand the out cry about actors not making it in the industry. Endorsements aside, mercy Johnson was once upon a time paid 2.5m PER MOVIE in Asaba! When she was in her prime and most wanted by viewers. Now it’s 1.2 or 800k. Chika Ike was once upon a time paid,700k per movie(she isn’t a fantastic actor but grace found and kept her then), I know of a marketer who wanted Chika in her movie this year and was ready to pay her 500k but she said she wouldn’t do it for that amount. Chioma Chuckwuka 1.2m but now 800k, Ini was 1.5m but now 800k, even little Regina charged as high as 500k per movie but now 300k... zubby micheal 700k per movie, Ken Erics, 700k, Yul 800k, queen nwokye 1m now 600k, Angela Okorie(one of the worse actors but grace found her then) 500k now 250k and Nkoli 500k after her nkoli hit, now 200k...Pls how on earth will these actors not look good when in a month, they can shoot 6movies in a month, as per Asaba movies naa.. pls do the maths.. everything mustn’t be runs! These actors get freebies and if you don’t appreciate them, Jamaica’s, Nigerians in diaspora, Cambodians e.t.c watch Nollywood movies a lot on YouTube and cherish these actors. The other day, ifu-eneda of big brother told us how a stranger credited her acct, with a million naira. People were awwing, tapping and believed her. Why? Because she isn’t a popular actor and she isn’t too sexy/overly pretty. So it’s possible. Let’s assume the so called “stranger” credited that of Vandora’s acct or Chika Ike, there would have been an outburst of name callings/slut shaming. I’m not ruling out that “some”of them ain’t into thE waka-waka movement oo, but then again, they actually do make some cool cash even on their own and freebies from fans. If you ain’t a greedy actor who doesn’t want to live for the gram and makes 500k per movie, you can live a comfortable life style with your hard earned money! I even feel lagos actors are the ones being underpaid. What they do there is “ group of friends coming together to shoot a movie” ...
DeleteAnon 14:01,
DeleteYou are right about the money being paid to them BUT would 1.5m or 2.5m Keep up to their life styles?...
These amount you mentioned are chicken change these days!...
Me that is not a celeb,I know how much I spend on a daily basis talk less of these people that need to keep up!...
The 800k you are talking about, most of them squander it instantly in their location hotel room!...
Ok,why do their male colleague not cashing out like the female?...
These people fuck mehn!...
I can’t even vouch for any of them including una mummy aunty Joke S!!,..
I have these people’s gist on my palm!,..
Abeg keep quiet and stop spreading false information.I am an hotelier and do provide accommodations for these artists when they are on locations.Say the truth and let the devil be ashamed to protect the future generation from believing in falsehood and not to make them have illusion. No money in Nollywoood as being potrayed. Most of those ladies are into prostitution, drugs and many immoral acts and that is why their marriages dont last.Olu jacob,Pete Edoche and other veterans that have been acting for ages how many houses do they have in Lekki,Abuja and other prime areas?
DeleteLolll see this one. Do A list actors/actresses even collect up to 500k? Which A list actress is still acting apart from Rita? It's just a platform to get a name and then use the name and anything else to hammer.
DeleteThank you @queen. All these amounts youre calling cant even pay good house rent in lekki. Mimi is sooooo right!! A good career climb in a good sector will pay you better than acting, in the long run.
DeleteLets analyse - A basic shopping spree now will cost you N1.5m, so lets look at the designers they wear - especially A-listers. £2k now is 900k+ and thats a small LV bag. Is that not one movie? How much is a pair of louboutins again?? Some go to foreign malls and show off several pairs from their hauls. From what you are saying 1 movie from a good actress is just 1 pair. Them no go chop?? Buy fuel or furnish house?? Investments nko?
Abeg, there are people in corporate jobs earning millions a month with their reputation intact, so many entertainers will envy them. They align with these people to get sponsorship for their projects. That's why when many of them see the light, they kick their pride and begin to rebrand themselves (E.g. Toyin Abraham). Most of their sugar daddies are big men in the corporate world who date them privately as they dont want the attention. If not that Executive Assistants are sworn to secrecy by their profession, ears would have popped. There are entrepreneurs (even female) earning millions a month on small/medium businesses, just because they dont want to expand and increase overhead expenses. Lets not talk about our mates abroad earning thousands of pounds/dollars monthly on good jobs.
On gifts... must a person be in the spotlight to receive them? Me who is not an entertainer, do you know the kind of gifts I receive? Lmao. There are some people that will admire and chase you because you are hot, yet not popular. The woman who held the cheque for miracle at BBNaija finale, go and check her networth. Make Mimi dey jump dey go, Ebu dem dem don silently cash out with zero attention.
I SMH sometimes when i see 'fans' tapping. If una like call me hater, there are very few i genuinely admire. Entertainers wey fit meet you and famz you, sef unto 'show me way'.
Ladies earning just that 500k a month are counting plots around LFTZ, someone will be using that same amount to buy one hair and one sandal, just to get hailings/likes/followers. Or get asoebi to slay at the wedding of a colleague they dont even like, just for pics. They envy the simple life, if you dont know. You're not under the kind of pressure they are under to impress, so you can use every little dime to make good investments/decisions.
Chikito you writing is disjointed. You've touched like 4 topics yet not made sense with any. Can you in 2 sentences summarize what you mean
DeleteAnon 04:22 Firstly, It is 'YOUR' not 'YOU'. Yes i analysed 4 related issues to the subject matter and its okay not to understand 😋😋😋😋

DeleteThis was a photo shoot during her daughter's 1st birthday. That was the theme of the party. Arrrgh too many ignoramuses on this blog. Chikito, how do you cope?????

ReplyDeleteShe is not far from the truth
ReplyDeleteAnon 14:02. Thank you very much.
ReplyDeleteIf Nedu buys a house now, people will uuuuhhhh and awwwww, But Hardworking Maraji will do same and they say shes been doing ‘runs’ by the side.
Who says some of them didn't use lots of millions for MMM when it was booming? Or even buy lands of 500k around 2001 to sell in 2018?
There are hardworking men and women in that industry with legit sorces of income and there are the ones that have become full time gigolos, pimps and runs ladies.
I hate attributing every one’s success to something negative.
Very funny. How much were movies paying in 2001? LMAO
DeleteThis nollywood people will break this table they're shaking......hian
ReplyDeleteKeep shaking the glass tables.
ReplyDeleteThat's why all of nollywood females and males selling their bodies on the side to make ends meet.
