      Isn't Ekanem her mother's surname and Hutchings her father's surname? Just like Eku who uses her mother's surname Edewor in Nigeria but used her father's surname Thorley when she lived abroad. Eku's attachment to Nigeria. Caroline's attachment is more to her mother and to have a native name too.
