On request by the inmates, she promised to provide Television set, a decoder and ceiling fans for the Christian’s hall of worship in the prison:
She also paid for the release of an inmate who had been in detention because of his inability to meet his bail terms.
The Deputy Controller (DCP) of Suleja Prison, who received the items on behalf of the inmates, urged other Nigerians and NGOs to emulate Tonto's kind gestures....

ReplyDeleteTonto did good but it is unfortunate that she choose to give to the Prison. It is a noble idea but the Prison Officials will take all that for their personal use. Do you guys remember what happened in the IDP Camps? What ever happens to the food budget for Inmates. The CG of Prisons must be enriching himself with Prison money. It is the responsibility of the government to feed the inmates. Someone should help us ask DCP of Suleija Prison, if, it is the responsibility of celebrities to feed inmates. No shame asking others to emulate Tonto. If you guys divert any of those food items, may it purge you.
