ReplyDeleteDay off today, going to visit someone this morning because I know she's not been happy 😊 with me. Her late husband was like a father to me and a grandfather to my boy. The last time I saw her was in the street market. I feel guilty for staying this long without visiting. So, I will just dress up and go see her. I know she has complained to her son who was my best an at my wedding and he will be coming for a visit next week and also attend the remembrance ceremony of his dad.

ReplyDeleteGot a call last week Wednesday from my dad to inform me my Nana left the world ������. So sad a moment. To think the last time she called me, my kids were disturbing and I told her I'll call her back but never did. In the mist of the convo, before it ended I promised her I was going to visit this year with my kids so she sees her great grand kids. But now it's not happening. She was old yes, but it wasn't her time yet to go. The doctors were just stupid and incompetent. She only fell. Just fell o. I'm so pained. And they did Xtray and said she had a dislocation. Just that. They said instead of stressing her with setting her bones back, they will give drugs that will ease the pain until it gets better. Only for her to take the drugs, 30mins later she started shouting. Saying all her body was hot. They took her to the same hospital back and they couldn't fathom what went wrong. They discharged her and asked she be sent to general hospital. Only for my Nana to die even before they could finish fixing oxygen for her. She must have shouted so much because they said she didn't stop shouting until she couldn't shout again. That wasn't the way I wanted her to go. I wanted her to just sleep and not wake up peacefully.
I hope she's not mad at me that I never called her back 😭😭

Only a proud person needs humbling. I’m not proud. I know Nigerians hate expressive women, but I can’t be bothered about that today. That I didn’t give you all the drama you were anonymously waiting for doesn’t make me weak or stupid and it doesn’t change my blog persona. FYI, I was very ill last week (and still am ☺️) and that’s the only experience that really ‘humbled’ me. Why do you think I’m on leave this morning? When I said I didn’t read those comments, trust me I didn’t. I was in too much pain to!! 🤣🤣 so I don’t know why y’all here making assumptions ‘oh Chikito has been humbled’. It does feel good that many are bothered about my ID and my comments though and feel like they had been waiting for a ‘hero’ to ‘match her up’ . I said what I said, I stand by what I said and I don’t owe anyone an apology for it.

DeleteI couldn't sleep last night. I was just thinking and imagining d level at which Nigerian women Love marriage more than their own life! But why? Who did this to US? My sister-in-law just discovered that her husband my brother has been sleeping with her househelp of about 15yrs old. This is a smelly Hausa gal we just brought from d north o. That has one kind odor that we are still trying to help cleanse. My brother left his beautiful and sumisive wife for this small gal and this has been going on since early last year.
