Johesu Strike Versus Doctors - THE BARE TRUTH.

As a seasoned public servant, my heart bleeds whenever I read what you young ones with no experience come to social media to post. I am not a member of JOHESU but look at this objectively, a fresh medical officer enters the public service at grade level (GL)12 while pharmacist and lab sci enter on GL 10, nurse on GL 8....how can these salaries be the same? doctor's call duty allowance is 4% of his basic salary while pharmacist's call duty is 2% of his basic salary...now how can 4% of GL 12 be same with 2% of GL 10?

Nurses collect shift duty allowance, how can a meagre shift duty allowance of GL 8 be the same with 4% of GL 12?

A medical officer who enters on GL 12 as resident and becomes a fellow after 4 or 6yrs is upgraded to GL 15 ..it takes a pharmacist minimum of 12 yrs to get to GL 15 and nurse minimum of 18 yrs to get to GL 15.

The question of pay relativity as been answered as doctors have been adequately if not over compensated for spending 6 years with a grade level 12 entry level that will take a nurse 9 years to get to. NMA wants a fresh graduate medical doctor to collect more basic salary than the nurse for instance that spent an average of 9 years to get to GL 12.

This is without cognisance to the fact that the medical doctor earns more with 4% as his call duty allowance .

NMA is really not helping the Nigerian health sector. The claims that other health workers want to collect same salaries with doctors is false and misleading. There's no way 2% will ever be equal to 4%. Doctors always earn more with the call duty allowance.

Somebody should please tell these doctors to stop lying to the public and get the needed managerial and leadership skills to lead. It's the absence of these skills in the doctors that is responsible for the unrest in the health sector. You can't lead people without protecting their interests. No group will be comfortable with a leader that works against their interest.

Doctors have failed woefully as head of management of the health sector. You can't give what you don't have. Do we have leadership, managerial or administrative courses in medical schools curriculum in Nigeria? The answer is no. There is therefore the need to review the curriculum to meet the demand of managing people and material resources.

It's certainly not enough to tell young medical school graduates that 'you are now the leader of the medical team' at graduation without teaching him or her how to lead. A one day course during residency training is simply not enough.

Na wah!!...when will all these end na?

MRS DEE'S CORNER

POLICE BRUTALITY

My brother-in-law has been under-employed and for the most part unemployed since he graduated from the university ten years ago. The jobs he keeps getting are the type where you are paid twenty-five thousand naira monthly and by the time you deduct transportation and feeding, you'll be left with little or nothing.

After being idle for so long,he decided to be a bus conductor. He earned a living through that and by the time the owner of the bus was ready to sell it off due to high cost of maintenance, he bought it and paid for it in instalments.

Countless times, he'ld be arrested by LASTMA officials, policemen for minor offences and no matter how he begs them they'll collect everything he made.

When it was so bad, he started going out for work in the evenings so that they would have closed for the day at least for the LASTMA officials. The police are always there so he did his best to avoid them.  One recent experience that left him devastated was when he was taking passengers to Oshodi by 10.00pm, at the bus-stop,he looked out for policemen but none were in sight,he didn't know they were in plain clothes.

When all the passengers alighted, about eight men with arms rushed into his bus, took over the steering, put him and his conductor at the back and used his bus to catch unsuspecting okada riders. They were bashing his bus here and there, burst his tyre all in a bid to waylay okada men. The one that irked him the most was when they were pursuing an okada that had two female passengers and the last one had a baby strapped to her back.

The police blocked the way and everyone on the bike fell. My BIL was so angry and told them they had better be careful knowing that if they killed anyone they'ld be quick to run away leaving him to face an angry mob. The policemen wasted no time to pounce on him and his conductor beating them to a pulp. The conductor managed to escape but my BIL was handcuffed, his offence;he was challenging them for doing their job.

At midnight, they let him go but not before they had collected all the money he made and damaging his bus. He came home wounded and penniless.

*Na wah oh.....Will there ever be an end to Police Brutality?Sorry bout your Brother in law...that conductor is not loyal at allllllllllllllllll....LOL

    2. There's chaos going on at Ojuelegba bus-stop at the moment. The Lagos State Task Force came with three trucks to impound okadas. They succeeded in loading the three trucks with okadas with the help of some armed military personnel.

Ojuelegba boys have refused the trucks leaving. one of the trucks was set ablaze. Tear gas everywhere.

      God bless the givers.

  2. I towed a car guys! YES, I was the "Tower"!!!!! 💃💃💃

I know it's illegal for a "regular" vehicle to tow a another yh but there was no other option. It was a Saturday, a very rainy Saturday (those in Abuja know what sat's weather was like). I was even In a Wedding, make up on fleak, asoebi in point. Then I got the call. Neither of us knew how to get a towing van, it was getting late and the car was in a very risky place. It was someone very dear to me so I knew I had a job to do; matter of fact, I suggested it!
It was quite a distance (wuse2 to area 1 for those that know Abuja. At first, I was scared and I was thinking "what if his vehicle hits mine and breaks my rear light" then I told myself, fuck it, gotta get this job done and perfectly.
And guess what people... I DELIVERED!!!! 💃💃💃, I even became an expert on when I should drive slow and when I should increase my spead to avoid collision (meeehhnnnm my physics came to play that day. The whole rope tension, car tension, impact, collision Etc 🙄🙄🙄)

My mom's heart was in her mouth, I had to stop picking her call, I mean who needs discouragement on a delicate job 😂😂😂...

I know "haters" will say no big deal but that's your own oh 😂😂😂... plenty skill is needed to tow a vehicle which I ddnt think I had... gotta add this to my CV 😂

So ladies and gentlemen, I saved a life! Please give me my accolades 😃😃😃

    Thanks for listening 👏

  3. Some marriages are motivated by mere lust", but mere lust is felt even by fleas & lice. Love begins when we wish to serve others- Martin Luther king.

Do not marry someone you are in love with. You should find a life partner that you first of like, someone who shares your beliefs and someone you enjoy being with as a friend and then love.Way too many marriages are based on love only. This is okay but will lead eventually to an unhappy, unfulfilled marriage.Yes,you should still love them, but you must like them even more. The simple truth is that love alone doesn't determine a happy marriage,so many factors have to be put in consideration before saying "I do".
And let me tell you, love ain't blind unless you choose to.

Happy marriages are never accidental. They are the result of good hard work.
The success of any marriages depends on two people who aren't afraid to grow and change. It takes two to make a good marriage, both partners most spend time to make it work,Where one commands and the other obeys, there can be loyalty and gratitude but not love.
Marriage is a tough institution, let's stop making it look like ten days in sun city.

    1. Doctors are the enemy of the masses. They're the ones holding the health sector hostage. They keep screaming that once the federal government attends to JOHESU demand that even them too will go on strike, who does that? Why are doctors very greedy and wicked? Why will federal government attend to their own needs without JOHESU interference but once JOHESU demand for raise in salary and good working conditions they will start threatening thunder and brimstone. The masses should hold the doctors ransom for the incessant strike in the health sector.

  5. Some people are just funny in this life Sha.
Imagine, on Thursday morning I went to a store on the roadside of our house to buy lunch for my kids as usual.
I met two women there talking which one of them lives in same street as me while I don't know the other one.

After buying what I wanted and giving the seller money while she got inside to get me change, the woman turned to me and asked if I'm married, I answered yes!
She asked if I have done marriage, I said no **though I think she thought I wasn't with any man cos of the way I was dressed**.

She started saying she is seeing me with a wedding gown and a ring, **I just yimu at her** I believe she was telling the other woman some kinda vision.
That I should pray for money to come so that it would be possible.
Me that I am thinking of how to escape from the hell of a beast she's there telling me marriage.

Imagine where I get married to him and he automatically becomes the owner of my life and I will have to seek permission from him before I breathe**not that I haven't done close to that before Sha but at least it's more relieved than before**
Na who marriage EPP? Please I want to move jare.

    Please, all these fake prophecies.

  8. Hey here!

So, I was reading comments over the weekend and came across Mercy Johnson's post and the one the divorced wife called out her husband's mistresses that caused their divorce. It disgusts me how people were saying did she fight to keep her marriage? Why didn't she fight to keep her marriage bla bla bla...

Seriously, I say humans are very much 2faced. Gush!
If the wives had fought their husbands or side pieces, same people would have been the ones condemning the wives for fighting and asking them if their placentas were buried with the man's own or if marriage is everything to the wives.

If she had kept praying against the side pieces, same people would have condemned her praying against them.

If she had kept praying hoping for the husband to change, same you people would have said STDs/STIs bla bla bla.

And I ask again, what do world people really want?!

Please for those buying land. Please be careful. Especially in Lagos. There are many areas that the government is taking over in the pursuit of redevelopment. Eg some areas in Agege, Ogba etc. Building will be demolished. What owners in these areas are doing is selling to unsuspecting people.
So you eventually buy a house for 50 million and next week government razes down your building because they have already sent notice to previous owners.

U guys should make today memorable, I have some time in my hands now...ikwakwakwakwa.

So i was told that one of the prerequisite to be wedded in the church is that the couple will get a marriage cert from the court(Catholic church), that is like basically doing a court marriage. Biko, catholic married couples here, na so una do? Though I think is a good development, the way women are sidelined after their husband's death is so absurd. The woman and her kids at least can have some legal backings to contest and challenge any fool coming to reap where he did not sow.

Biko, make una answer me ooo. And what does it entail to get the cert from court?

    1. There are 3 recognised types of marriage in Nigeria.
1.Customary marriage otherwise known as Traditional marriage.
2.Islamic marriage/Nikkai. 3.Civil marriage otherwise known as Registry marriage.

Christian weddings can only be recognised after u obtain, fill and return ur signed copy of d cert from d registry. Christian marriages/weddings wey dem no register for registry no get #Assurance outside ur church. Other countries get their own rules and laws sha. Na so we see am o.

    2. It applies to all churches registered under the court. I'm not Catholic but this is how I did mine.

Go to any marriage registry of Your choice. Tell them you want to register your marriage not court wedding. Go with birth certificate/affidavit and passports photograph(of you and your spouse).

They will give you a form to fill and tell you when to come back for it. It takes 21days normally but you can fast track it if it's urgent.

Go with cash too. The amount is not fixed. I paid 25k. Some people we did counselling together paid different amount.

  33. Memo to Naija Married Women:
I want to implore married women in general and naija married women in particular to stop embarrassing themselves and their children/families. Have a future-proof plan for "if things go south" before u get married. You cannot fight four other women for a man's attention, hook him with pregnancy when he had not finished sowing his wild oats and then begin to cry "all men are scum" when the leopard refuses to change its spots.

Has Collins called out Miracle for sleeping with Nina? Has Madam Juliet's husband called out Miracle for allegedly snuggling with his wife? See how the Ooni managed Queen Wuraola's saga. Naija women should stop embarrassing themselves on social media. The woman who recently went on a ranting spree did good by shaming both d side chicks and her husband but still she condoned rubbish for too long.

Imagine if Tonto needed Churchill to even feed her son; would she be able to run her mouth anyhow on social media? Be like Damilola Adegbite who moved on and left Chris Attoh ranting. Lilian Esoro left Ubi Franklin ranting. Muma Gee left Prince Eke ranting. Be the woman who leaves a useless man ranting rather than the other way around.

If your husband says and acts like u r not enough by romancing slay queens and stray diseases, Be enough for urself and put ur life, children and family first by putting his nonsense behind u and moving on with ur life without unnecessary drama. And if u must do a call out, shame both d dog and his shit. Afterall, it was d dog that exposed u to its shit and houseflies.

  38. Hi darlings.

Thanks you all for your condolences. I know she's in a better place 🙏🙏

Chronicle poster of Saturday, can I advice you?

You need to find you. Find yourself. If your marriage isn't helping you find you, move back to your parents house.

See if you don't want to move back then you need to take charge

    1. Stop paying your kids school fees. Stop it. If someone who earns more than you doesn't have money to finance this how then are you doing it? Leave the kids at home. By the time they miss 1 term, he would come around.

    2. Stop cooking if he doesn't give you money. Just cook very small food for your kids and your self. Make sure it's something that will finish before he is back. Let it just remain small. If he ask why the food is remaining small, tell him you didn't have money. The little you had, you used it to make small food, after the kids ate, nothing was left. Even you haven't eaten.

    3. Don't pay house rent please. If house rent expires, let him pay, if he doesn't pay, then they throw you all out

    4. Stop paying nepa bills please

Where do you even get the money to help out in all this bills? Your store is suffering , you have finished business capital and profit and you still paying bills? Please stop. Also let your parent know this is what he is doing... Since they were there for him in his time of need.

If you are moving back with your parents, let them help you start your business again. You have to make a tough decision even though it would hurt you see your kids stay at home and all that. But you need to use iron hands to get your husband to be responsible

Women, stop doing more than the men biko. He's the Head. As long as he is working, he should do his part. Your part is to help out not carry the whole burden. Unless he lost his job then do it all while he searches for another. But if he refuses to search for a job, please use iron hands

  42. All I see is that sign out message. My spirit needs to understand that, my faith needs to be nourished by this. Delay is not denial, my God will make everything beautiful in His time.
