ReplyDeleteRemains of the roasted plantains I bought yesterday, Just put a dip in the sauce and took one bite, my tongue went up in flames, took another and couldn't stand the hotness anymore cos my face was now turning red, mucus dropping out from my nose, hotness in my chest, I couldn't close my mouth cos of the hotness.
My daughter came asking me questions, I just asked her, "do you want your mother to die?" She gave a said face, and asked why did I said that?
I said to her, if I keep talking to you pepper will go down my throat and I could die. She said mummy pls don't talk again. Take water, let me fan you.
By then I had already finished close to half liter of bottle water. even though I was terribly hungry I had to stop cos i would have fainted if I had continued. Even the oil in the sauce was hot.
No wonder there was no one at her stand when I got there. I'm even afraid of going to toilet now.
Lols...no matter how spicy a food is, don't take water until you are done eating. Drinking water while eating spicy food increase the hotness to 70%. I learnt this when I was in Boys Brigade decades ago.
