Reality star and up and coming actress Ifu Ennada in an interview with New Telegraph, talks about her childhood days and what BBNaija reality show Platform has taught her....She says she used to cry to sleep at night when the lights were out!
Excerpt From The Interview....
Brief background
My name is Ifu Ennada. The ‘Ennada’ is Adanne spelt backwards. Ifu is my initials, Iheme Faith Uloma. When I was 19, I was told I needed a name as a presenter, and I’ve always loved all my names but how can I say all that while introducing myself? So I decided to get creative with it. I’m from Abia State, Nkpa, in Bende Local Government but I was born in Lagos and I’ve lived most of my life here. I’m an award winning actor, Big Brother Naija housemate 2018. I’m also a professional TV host and producer, writer and aspiring musician.
What was your growing up like?
Growing up wasn’t every easy for my family. We went through loads of hardship. There was a point in my life where we even moved to the village because we couldn’t pay our rent. Things were hard for us back then but it was still fun because I had parents who regardless of the fact they didn’t have all the money in the world, loved me and gave me their best. My dad didn’t let me go to a public school; he would rather sell his properties to get money to put me in a private school. Yes it was tough and hard but it had helped me to build the foundation of which I’m currently standing on.
Talking about Big Brother Naija, why did you go for that reality show?
I never wanted to go to Big Brother’s House. It was Stacy, a close friend of mine who is an actor and producer that made me go for the auditions. Last year was terribly bad for me. It was probably one of my worst years so far. I was seriously broke. It wasn’t as if I was not working, but people were not paying. I had even lost a huge amount of money so I was terribly broke. Then my friend Stacy called me and asking where I was. I told her I was at home and she told me that the audition for Big Brother was happening that day but I told her I didn’t even have transport money to get there. She asked me to send my account number and before you knew it, I had enough money to take a cab to the venue of the audition. I’ve never really thought of going for Big Brother auditions before only music reality shows and I was tempted to use the money to buy pizza and a drink and not bother going but I felt I would let my friend down, so I dressed up and went for it. I didn’t even believe I would be picked; I just wanted to please my friend. Then one thing led to another and I got a call that I would be in the Big Brother house, 2018, So it was my friend who encouraged me and you know, in life you have to keep trying and never give up and explore as many opportunities as possible. I will forever be grateful to Stacy for encouraging me to go for Big Brother.
What was it like being in the Big Brother’s house?
It was crazy in there! There were days I would ask myself, ‘what are you even doing here?’ I’m the type of girl that would not want people to see her weaknesses. I want to be perceived as strong and in control. There were many times I cried in that house and people wouldn’t know because I would hide under my duvet and cry to my heart’s content. Sometimes, I would wake at night when the lights are out, and I will pray to God to get me through one more day. Being in a small community with 19 other people you really don’t know from anywhere wasn’t easy but it was also fun. I made some friends in the house like Princess, she got evicted quite early in the show but out here we’re are friends and trying to do a few things together .
I also learnt a lot especially with all the tasks Big Brother asked us to do. I learnt how to work under pressure and also how to communicate with people better. Thanks to Big Brother, I’m better with my relationship with people.
Thank God for you. The sky is your starting point
ReplyDeletelol this is funny! ifu Ennada got evicted and suddenly became the most humble and nicest person ever *i laugh in igbo* those who really know she was full of herself and always bragged about being an Africa Magic actress. she was so sure she would reach the finals and didn't fail to remind every housemate about it. she said she gave 500 000 Naira to her team for everytime she was up and that anybody that was teamed with her will see the finals
DeleteBeautiful girl
ReplyDeleteI pity the reporter that will want to interview ceecee aka case credit
ReplyDeleteThe only hm that has granted so many interviews within a short time.
ReplyDeleteThis babe don grant plenty interviews pass the show duration sef. 😂
ReplyDeleteWhy ll things not be hard for you when you spelt your name backwards?? ?
ReplyDeleteThis your comment is harsh and at the same time funny..see me trying to frown but ended up grinning.
DeleteHahahaha you are a bad slild..
DeleteShatap!! how does she spelling her name backwards contribute to things being hard? Madam I too know.
Delete😂😂ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
DeleteThis babe talks too much .
ReplyDeleteStrong babe
ReplyDeleteIfu Ennada......Adanne
This babe and bem bem will be the most successful from this year. Anybody that knows ceeC should tell her to start a lash line, let her not allow Julie iceberg to dull her shine oo. She should learn from bem bem and ifu.miracle doesn't need to be in the public eye. He will be one hot pilot. Though he can post hot pictures for the girls Dem and become a social media influencer and give Noble and Laura a run for their money. I'll be alright las Las, lemme find garri drink
ReplyDeleteMy dear.... I believe she and bam bam would actually be because success isn't built in 3 months, it's made under series of struggles and pushing. Ifu has a story and seems like she'd been working behind the scenes to make it. Bam bam has even contested for a show before and lost, so she's not new to the reality scene. Even from last year, the people we still hear much about are the ones who had a back story.
DeleteWow! So she is from Nkpa? I'm from Nkpa too. Obilaji, Nkpa. Ifu my sister!
ReplyDeleteI like her but she talk too much.
ReplyDeleteSay after me "talks".repeat again, "talks".example:she talks too much.
DeleteI like her and wish she stayed longer
ReplyDeleteI don't like her, for someone from a humble background and broke before going to the bbnaija house, she had a nasty attitude, talking down on Nina.
DeleteIf she had stayed longer she would have given Cee-c a run for her money.
Go girl, the sky is your starting point
ReplyDelete#The more you love your decisions the less you need others to love them*
