Police Handcuff Senator Dino Melaye In Hospital And Prevent His Colleagues From Visiting Him

The Police have handcuffed Senator Dino Melaye to a hospital bed at the National Hospital, Abuja.

Melaye had escaped from police custody on Tuesday while being taken to Lokoja, Kogi State, and was conveyed in an ambulance to Zanklin Hospital, Mabushi, Abuja, after sustaining some injuries from his scuffle with his police escorts.

Visitors were also not allowed to see the embattled senator, who was forcefully evacuated by the police from a private medical facility, Zankli Hospital and taken to the National Hospital, where he was admitted to the Trauma Centre on Tuesday night.

Some senators who visited him on Wednesday (today) were barred by the police from entering the ward where he was being cared for.

    1. What did this man actually do to them na, this is too much. This is no democracy, you say something against the government and they find something to pin on you, my dad said that’s why no one wants to come out and declare anything before they find something to pin on you. But Dino maybe this is your karma for the other things you have done in the past

  4. Did he not retain a competent lawyer when he saw how things were going? So even is lawyer is not allowed to visit? Is that even legal. Like I said before, Nigeria is not a democracy, people do not be lulled into thinking you have rights in Nigeria.

  11. Dino Melaye is not above the law but it is inhuman to handcuff someone in the way the did here. These guys need some training. They should have used waist restraints then the hand restraints would let both hands be in a more relaxed position.
    Well, only in Naija!!

  12. Stella, do yourself a favour and READ about issues of politics in nigeria. This drama king, armed thugs and claimed the government wanted to assassinate him. The thugs have implicated him, an allegation has been levelled against him he should report and clear his name. You and a lot of ignorant Nigerians have no idea of the atrocities this man has committed. A very loud mouthed motherfucker...truly Nigerians are intellectually lazy, spending hours commenting trash on social media.

Accusing a sitting governor and the presidency of assassination, when the whole thing was planned by him is a criminal offence. Suddenly dino is a saint. I repeat you are intellectually lazy.

  13. #Anything you use to distract yourself from your suffering, keeps you bound to that same suffering*

E.g. Dino tried to distract himself from suffering by escaping, but ended up bound to a hospital bed in the same suffering. Lol...

    1. So if I use the Bible to distract me from my suffering it will keep me bound to my suffering? When people say you don't have sense, its not a lie.

      Delete
    2. Anon 10:59, no, you don't use the Bible to distract* from suffering but to eliminate/eradicate/resolve your suffering. If the Bible was a mere distraction, reading it wouldn't have been worth it.

  17. Stella i am so ashamed of you fpr saying such..is dino above the law. ? Is senator woboshi not going to court ? Why havemt they arrested ben bruce that is vocal ?

    My take is this..
The entrenched interests against the Nigerian people are revealing themselves daily. Buhari sent the appropriation bill containing the intended purchase of those helicopters to the senate since November 2017, and those thieves refused to work on it. They instead preferred to tax the heads of parastatals for bribes and delay the passage of the bill. The deadline for 2020 deliveries for those helicopters was in March and Buhari had no choice but to authorize the payment of the aircrafts inorder to meet the 2020 delivery date. Those criminals in the NA are now using that to declare impeachment proceedings against the President!
The NA has been shielding criminals, thieves and money launderers including Bukola Saraki. The NA expects the FG to step down corruption charges against them because they feel nothing can work or function without their authorization. They have been trying to blackmail the FG into bribing them and removing corruption probes on them inorder to pass bills. And those are the people that Nigerians are calling heroes of democracy!!!!

  19. I don’t pity this fool one bit. Ever since he beat up his ex-wife black and blue and then ran online to tweet about her being a bad mother who prefers vanity to taking care of her children amongst other things he said. Only for the world to discover that he beat her so much and broke her nose then sent her to UK for reconstructive surgery because the injuries were so bad. People believed him until his wife started posting medical records, pictures and police reports of him beating her online. How can a human being be that callous?! When she got tired of the beatings, he seized her kids from her that she can go but will not see the kids again. He even blocked her access in their school. And his ex-wife is only 1 story, you should hear all the other atrocities he’s been committing. I have no pity fir that deranged animal at all. Now he can also feel helpless in the hands of people who are supposed to protect him just the way his wife felt helpless in his hands

  21. Bed and roses...i officially applaud you for your comment on CNA. Nobody disputes the fact that Adichie is very intelligent, but women out there should give themselves room to reason and decide logically for themselves, what they want.
Thank you for stating that everyone has the freedom to choose what they value most , above others, and that makes them no less effective in other fields.
Adichie strikes me as one who is in a personal fight against the Nigerian values she grew up to know.
Sadly, we have misplaced values..but then l, we must not bully people into accepting our own opinions. Some people do not want to be fought for.
It is important to let people know that they can be all they want, if they choose. But the choice remains theirs. No one should be criticized, or even worse condemned, for the choices they make.
Respect has to be given to all, for equality to be effective.
